Unironically I haven’t had the ability to sit through another show since because I compare them all to BB. They’re all ass in comparison.

it was a different time

It took a hard nosedive in quality after Gus died, though. They catered to the meme normie audience too hard.

>Once in a lifetime achievement.
But Better Call Saul is better?

lol

Hello REDD it

This is not METH! Bad ASS

I'm inclined to think they just planned it all perfectly in advance. It's really amazing how none of the episodes, maybe save for the fly one feels like filler.

50 minutes of Mike painting his living room
Roll credits

It's just good writing. There's so many shit writers around I wonder how they have a job. Oh I know it's because normies regularly eat shit for breakfast treat it as the greatest thing of all time. Just any regular person at your job or school how Avengers was and they all gush on about it like it's actually was good. I hate it man I hate it.

season 5 is pretty weak. glad they ended it there desu

Attached: 1556562250963.gif (215x141, 496K)

It's a 10/10 show until the last half of the last season. It's still pretty good but it seems unfocused and redundant by then.

>main character is disabled
>it somehow isnt noticable at all
How the fuck did they include diversity so seamlessly

Whoever was in charge of the music did a fantastic job, that show had so many good moments because of the songs they chose to play. it adds a lot

walking dead was better but breakinf bad is still my #2

I loved it but honestly from season 3 onwards it got a bit retarded. They shouldve killed jesse and made walt commit it and make him a true monster. Vince has no balls, ruined the show making walt a retard when hes supposed to be one of the smartest guys in the series.

>I'm inclined to think they just planned it all perfectly in advance

We already know they did. It's why it doesn't get too retarded like LOST and everything is wrapped up in a neat bundle like The Sopranos.
The difference between preplanning and "let's see how many shekels we can shake out of these goys" is paramount.

Yeah, I don't like what they did to Mike. In s3-s4 he was the scary guy then they turned him into a comic relief

Good acting
Decent to good writing
Decent amount of episodes, not too many that theres lots of shit filler, not too little that they have to cram/rush things
Just enough "holy shit" moments to keep the show entertaining and shocking but still relatively grounded
Seemed planned out for at least 3 of the 5 seasons
and most important of all...
came and ended just before everything had to be all PC and SJW

There are some really stupid moments like Gus walking around with half a face, that giant magnet, or the car gun but it's still the best television show made which as see as an indictment on the medium as a whole. Television is not for intelligent people and we get the writing we deserve.

>They’re all ass in comparison.
Are you sure about that?

Lol you fucking retards gobbling up the shit that was s5. They admitted to airing the episode where Walt buys an LMG before they had come up with how he was gonna use it

I've listened an political analysis made by a jewish women and it was redpilling as fuck

Walter White => White men

Schwartz (his ex associate) = Jew and also it means black in german so he's 2 minorities at once
Schwartz's wife = also jew

Basically she was saying that the show was about how white people are racist /antisemite when they think they got fucked by a minority

Can you elaborate on that? So you saying Vince had all 5 seasons in his mind from day one or what? Cuz I didn’t feel like it’s the case

>giving up the ending where Walt saves Jessie for the last time and has a moment of internal peace just before death.
Nah, I'm good.

And this is a good thing

She also said that Walter hated women, I forgot

>when they think they got fucked by a minority
What about when they actually get fucked over by a minority? Like college admissions to Ivy League institutions, for example.

>what is death of author

I feel like that Gus moment is one of those 'believe it or not' moments, done solely to make the message more spectacular but not affecting anything at all. It's alright for me.

The car gun indeed sounds like an unrealistic crapshoot that shouldn't have worked, but it was the finale. You could always assume it went the other way too.

>first episode

Should have ended at season 4.

MILITARY GRADE HOOKERS

We'll be lucky to get anything anywhere near as good as breaking bad again. its a 10/10 show until literally the ending with the low IQ normie pandering LMG scheme.

Every normie thinks GOT and capeshit is incredible so i dont see where good writers are gonna come from in the future.

Your opinion of GoT after watching Breaking Bad is going to be the same as your opinion of Breaking Bad after watching The Sopranos.

> They catered to the meme normie audience too hard.
butthurt /pol/tard doesn't like it when white nationalists are the baddies. You're deluded if you think that Ozymandias was not one of the greatest TV moments.

Season 2 and 4 were the weakest imo
Why does everyone hate on 5?₩

>one of the greatest TV moments
That's not saying much, lol

It was an addictive, entertaining show but it's pretty overrated. It's junk food that gets elevated by (some of) the acting and the cinematography.

It pretends to be a character-driven show, but the characters constantly do stupid things because the plot demands the stakes rise constantly and for Walt to transform from a meek high school teacher to a ruthless drug lord.

Think about this: in just over a year the protagonist goes from weeping because he let a junkie choke on her puke to whistling a merry tune right after dissolving a child's body in acid. Absurd, no?

The show is built mostly on cliffhangers with weak resolutions, like a modern Perils of Pauline. The show has some pretty brutal moments but most of the deaths were that of cardboard villains or side characters who were created solely to serve as collateral damage.

It was a fun show to watch, a wild ride, but one that ultimately has nothing to say about either the human condition or the criminal underworld.

Seems like everyone here is judging S5 by it's weak last episode compared to finales of other seasons, but the rest of S5 was great television, better than most seasons of GoT. Some were a little slow, but the plot carried it through.

You keep comparing it to garbage like GoT instead of The Wire or The Sopranos.

>They shouldve killed jesse and made walt commit it and make him a true monster
That right after Hank dying would've been true kino. Normies would hate it though because it's not mindlessly happy.

Mike remained the same all the way through. My only criticism of Mike is that they try to make him both realistic and John Wick-style badass at the same time.

i agree with you. season 5, despite the finale is still incredible TV.

I saw breaking bad after the sopranos. I prefer breaking bad. Comparing post season 4 GOT to either sopranos or BB is just ridiculous however your preference.

I know Yea Forums has a lot of sopranos loyalists so dont get too upset

>I prefer breaking bad
pleb

Walking dead is traaaash, the only good part was S1 and it had like six episodes.

Funny you say that because I watched BrBa in my teens and thought it was the greatest thing ever until I watched The Sopranos when I was 19.
I prefer Sopranos by a country mile. It took like 3 episodes for me, and the first season of Sopranos was by far the weakest.

Not that it really matters honestly since they are two completely different shows with different motives. If anything Sopranos is more comparable to Mad Men. Slow-paced, character-driven, and mainly about the drama. BrBa is more action and about high impact plot shit

>soulless drama with extremely boring nobodies in ugly ass nowhere

You're right. BB will never be topped

Breaking Bad would be comparable if it didn't have a shit mid seasons and if Walt's family drama wasn't insufferable. Plus the reddit tier moment in S5.

What the fuck. Is that fucking Vito?

Honestly, I wasn't a /pol/tard back then and I thought it massively sucked.

I’m a liberal and I thought it sucked

It's Vitus Spataforus.

what moment? i forgot

Breaking bad was okay. I just never really "believed" it, you know? It was farfetched.

Lost is still GOAT.

youtube.com/watch?v=rMlNl0fKwxQ

What? It's really inconsistent. The first season is barely above average then it gets better. The whole mexican psycho story arc early on was pretty cringey. It's an alright show yeah but fuck mate it's not that great.
You guys either don't watch much or you're all really young and have little life experience.

yeah conservatism sure is the new punk rock :^)

The gun in the trunk thing was retarded. When did Walt become a mechanical engineer?

I enjoy BB, but BCS is just a little better. I think it's because it's a little more grounded in reality and it doesn't take it over the top like BB did.

That he’s a hack writer that wrote a spectacle television show that would appeal to the unwashed masses and rake in as much cash. Then proceeded to suck on the BrBa teat as long as possible

I saw the first episode and knew it wasn’t for me. I don’t like the characters and the whole drugs Schtick is annoying to me. Meth is gay, don’t glamorize it.

Why do zoomers love being contrarians?

walter hated low iq people

isn't the Wire PC garbage?

>meth-use actually went up when Breaking Bad got famous
It shows just how much of a terrible job these fucko writers were at attempting do the whole duality of good and evil, anti-hero character shit. They couldn’t balance Walt’s repulsiveness like Tony Soprano.

Attached: Untitled11 - Copy.png (960x540, 548K)

There is something so unique about this show, especially the cinematography (the same in Better Call Saul as well). I think the best word to describe it is 'genuine'. The show and (its characters) never attempts to be anything its not; the show does not get away from the gritty or the mundane, and in fact embraces them: there are extended sequences of what would normally be nonsense like cleaning or eating, though they are done in such a way to convey unspoken meaning and character development while also not to appear pretentious. A strange example that comes to mind is actually the opening sequences from Better Call Saul: they are almost always something very odd unrelated to the show (aside from Saul's self-promotion), like a box of Saul's matches in a urinal or the shitty inflatable Statue of Liberty you see driving in a rather generic place like Albuquerque. Even the background characters in both shows tend to have a fair amount of depth just in how 'real' they seem, but also in their looks if that makes sense that they're the kind of people you can see everyday

how does it glamorize it? not literally everyone who ever touches it turns into a goblin overnight, though the show has plenty of those anyway

>I TURNED TO LOOK BUT IT WAS GONE
>I CANNOT PUT MY FINGER ON IT NOW
>THE CHILD IS GROWN, THE DREAM IS GONE
Another thing BrBa tried to copy from Sopranos, use of popular music instead of a score

>Mfw i've become an analytical chemist because of the show

Attached: 1347682256701.gif (280x280, 1.1M)

The most evil character on the show is a kike lawyer. Most of the politicians are corrupt Democrats, and a lot of them are niggers.

most evil character was probably marlo

nah man being a shifty jew is worse than mass murder

My only qualm with the story is that the baby should’ve died when Walt and Skyler were rolling around with the knife in Ozymandias.

Would’ve been truly fucking heart-wrenching for them to realize what happened

>meth-use actually went up when Breaking Bad got famous
mikeglaw.com/breaking-bad-increase-meth-usage/

It's boring as hell.I tried to force myself to watch them all but gave up about halfway through.

>the baby should’ve died
the writers never would have had the balls to do that
the protagonists all had plot armor except for Hank, who pretty much got himself killed

Shifty Jews are the ones who profit from mass murder unless they're the ones getting mass murdered. Then they start bitching about the Shoah.

People who like the hyperactive plot, twists, cliffhangers and shock moments are not going to like shows like Mad Men or Sopranos, user

They're just telling you a story that you haven't seen before.

Keep watching, first season is the second weakest, don't touch the last, it's shit and was writen by SJW's. They have an episode where they imply they don't have a bar award (emmy) because they don't have any black in their bar.

put a lot of effort into non climactic scenes
really helped with the realism

youtube.com/watch?v=GSmbOBh9PEY

The show was great but season 5 was really stretched out. The only two great scenes from season 5 were the cliffhanger in the second to last episode where Walt sees Elliot on Charlie Rose. And the other is when Walt told Skyler that he did everything for himself.

literally the most overrated film product in my lifetime

BCS did a really good job at making you feel like you were actually going through Law School

Holy fuck, this is one of the worst opinions I've ever seen. The Sopranos is the only show with a perfect ending.

>The Sopranos is the only show with a perfect ending.
you misspelled The Shield

Lol no it doesn’t. The final season was fucking amazing, and no the Vito arc did not bring down the overall quality of the show. Mobsters going apeshit over a homosexual in their midst was hilarious. Vito’s story arc remained true to one of the running theme of the show. And you need to see his journey, it would make no sense to see him come back to certain death

>connects the quantum physicists speech about “Everything being Everything” with the “Principle of the Solar System” in the casino with pic related
>Explains why every horrid act in the final 9 episode was tied to him seeking vengeance for him being a mobster
Walter is no where near as fleshed out as Tony

Breaking Bad is one of the most overrated shows in existence.

It's total shit.

why?

not him but it's just not good by any standard besides "good for a cable TV show"

that doesn't explain why it's shit
fucking elaborate

S5 is the second best season after S4

it sucks, the story makes no sense, the acting/writing is shit - how many Cranston is obviously lying scenes do we need? how many Cranston is a badass because we're told he's a badass scenes? nothing in the show works unless everyone besides walt is retarded.

explain why it's good

i never said it was good, i just asked you why it was bad. you talk like a high school dropout.

Fly and 3 days out are pleb filters. Walt and Jesse's chemistry is incredible

the same could be said for Sopranos desu

if I had to guess I'd say you're too stupid to tell the difference between good and bad, just like the rest of the double digit IQ audience everything is geared towards

I'm glad I got to watch this with you retards
