this is what I did. I was full bushman for most of the game. Spent chapter 3 just grinding everything. Then when he got sick he cleaned himself up and started doing the right thing. Even started making him clean the horse and pat it and stuff after spending most the time not giving a shit about horses. which made me start sobbing when the the horse died in the last mission

It's the first time Arthur appears weak and expresses his realization that hes not gonna make it. And it was to the Nun that, despite having a vague idea of what a monster Arthur was, saw good in him and a chance of redemption.

It actually is insane how good he turned out. Like, when I found out we were rolling with John's old gang but not playing as John I got pissed because John was so fucking good in RDR1. I just wanted more of him. And then when the trailers released and Arthur was confirmed as the protagonist I got even more disappointed at how generic and uncharismatic he seemed.

Got the game, played through Chapter 1 & 2. Opinion was unchanged, didn't care for him too much. Then when Chapter 3 hit, I started to warm to him. And by Chapters 6, I unironically didn't want to play as John in the Epilogue. I just wanted more Arthur and even googled if you could avoid catching TB or cure it (was willing to start all the way back in Chapter 2 just to save muh BOAH).
