So they didn't actually develop it and make it they are just distributing. Rian Johnson's financer is Ram Bergman who produced Brick, Brothers Bloom, Looper and TLJ. And he said he is producing Rian's trilogy again and getting him that money.

Rian is the only person of talent working at Lucasfilm, they didn't only hire him to do one trilogy, he's actually helping D&D with theirs too because they are so incompetent and babylike television producers/writers.

Rian's in the Lucasfilm braintrust group. Everyone at Lucasfilm liked working with him, TLJ went smoothly unlike Rogue One and Solo trainwrecks and J. J. isn't interested in doing Star Wars and spends all his time at Bad Robot

That's why they gave him trilogy. The "slowdown" is literally just going to be 2020 while they do construction at this other studio that isn't Pinewood dedicated to Star Wars. RJ trilogy episode 1 will be released in 2022 and there's nothing anyone can do about it
