Arya killing him is not the main problem. While it was cringey and could've been done literally anyone else in an infinite amount of better ways, it is still forgivable compared to the more egregious problem created, in that the major conflict has been ended too soon. As many people have already pointed out, this was the main course, what we've had built up for 8 years and seasons from the first first scene of the series. And now, in one battle with very little actual losses, it's over.

We lost a few characters, we lost (part of) the Wall, and Winterfell (and the north) is damaged. That is all the White Walkers and Night King, after THOUSANDS of years of preparing, have accomplished. Even Bloodraven's death meant nothing since he was immediately replaced by Bran, and NK utterly failed to kill Bran later. This apocalyptic and mysterious threat that has been time and time again hyped up to be devastating to the world, when unleashed, just goes out with a whimper when their big battle finally comes. It's really pathetic too when you consider just how little the heroes lost.

And now we go back to squabbling over a chair. Because, you know, who cares about the fact that Cersei has already been portrayed as foolish for staying behind during the "great war". Now she gets rewarded for it and upgraded to main villain, because apparently there's better stakes there than in the literal battle for ice and fire that ties into the direct theme of the show and books.

Who honestly cares anymore? Cersei isn't awful but it's just Cersei on her own pretty much, Euron is a disgrace in comparison to his book counterpart and has done nothing of note in the show at all other than fuel Cersei's plotline. They rushed out the big main conflict too soon and now we're left with the lamer, far less important one. How the fuck is that supposed to be exciting?

I fucking miss Bobby B. And basically everything about Season 1. It had that certain "dirty" feeling. I can't explain it. It's like it could actually be happening in the past. The roads were all muddy shit and the colors were like real life, not like recent seasons where they put on color filters and shit.

When i first saw that scene i couldn't believe it. It was just so fucking stupid in every way, it was like it was written and directed by mongoloids. It didn't fit the tone or internal logic of the show so far.

Little did i know it was just a taste of the full transformation of stupidity that was to become every episode pretty soon.

The reason there must always be a lich king is cause otherwise the literal countless undead on azeroth would tear apart everything in a mindless frenzy, the only thing stopping them was the will of the lich king(Obviously this doesnt make much sense as what was arthas' utlimate goal anyway if not the extinction of life?) but thats why bolvar took over.
In GoT all the undead die with the NK and so theres no need for a NK without an army of the undead to control and if they're not even going to say why there always has to be a NK then its probably because whoever came up with these shitty "leaks" couldnt think of a logical reason as to why there needs to be a NK cause the show is so shit theres no reason for a NK in the first place.

It's even worse when you consider that they had Yara go around the entire continent (in like 4 episodes) to get there, and it had zero impact on the story.

I think he purposefuly fed DnD bullshit so he made sure he could write the ending he wanted in peace.

His point is that in that scene, which has been posted to you in replies now, King's Landing is shown to be more somber and blue and winter has finally reached it. However, in season 8, it's back to looking like it's always looked without as much of a snowflake. Might as well be summer time.

They're so adamant about making the rest of the show so fucking dark and blue so it stands out as being really stupid that they went back on this for no reason despite setting it up.
