Rewatch Avatar mate. Just like most battle sonnen, there are some scenes with good animation and others are just mediocre to bad. Music is good but that's an aspect even battle shonen have always done well.

Another weak point is that both the protagonist and the final antagonist are pretty bland. I am not saying Aang is bad but just pretty uninspiring as a protagonist which is better than many battle shonen where protags are downright annoying.

He is easily outshone by zuko, Iroh and Azula.
