Detective Pikachu is the most retarded thing I ever heard.
Why would a Pokemon be a detective?
Who the hell is their target audience?
How did they even get a license? Doesn't this completely fuck up the Pokemon brand?

It looked fucking terrible and the only remote appeal it had was "LAWL THEY WRITING NEW QUIPS AND ZINGERS ABOUT THAT THING YOU REMEMBER FROM 15-20 YEARS AGO"

You also forgot DCucks using anything to try and stick it to le mouse.

nigger fucks this movie up, me and all my buddies in their 30's would go to see a fucking kid movie if this was about white dude named Ash being zapped by Pikachu and burned by Charizard

it looks like it has cool 3D animated pokemans in it for people that like this stuff
doubt it needs anything more.

use "but it failed", "it has no effect on the mouse..." and then "not every effective"

>dramatic reveal of old man Ryan Reynolds as the black kid's father at the end
>everyone bursts out laughing
what did they mean by this

It will still make at least 1,5 Billion and you fucking know it

Nah, I thought it would be better to just keep the childhood trauma of it's not very effective x4

First Marvel killed DC. Then Pikachu. Now Avatar.

God I love being a Marvelchad!!!

Why do you care about critic scores on RT? At the very least since the rating for TLJ it should be clear that nobody should give a shit about them

>no rapidash
of course it would flop

Marvel faggot still trying hard to cope after Both Japan & China abandoned them. Kek

WB on suicide watch yet again

Haha I love these epic meme edits.

I can't imagine a film critic complaining about a black actor

Why are DisneyMoms upset about endgame making 2 billion ???

Looking forward to seeing the numbers for this movie compared to the full 3D movie "Pokémon the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution" that has Ash, Misty, and Brock and comes out this November

pokemon go to hell

it will be a miracle for it to reach 1 Billion and in your deepest heart you fucking know it.

>finally make a real pokemon movie
>base it off some shitty game that isnt even in the main series
>base it off some shitty game instead of the cartoon
would it have been too hard to make the movie about ash wanting to be the very best?

Shazaam version?

Pokemon is literally the biggest franchise on this planet
you are delusional

Pony is more profitable than Fate/ waifu trash. Star Wars still living large despite all the controversy.
The Mouse & Friends ain't ever leaving the spotlight. MCU is almost a profitable as Shonen Comics, you can stop dreaming of cape fatigue and the MUC dying; not gonna happen in your lifetime.
Spidy is still the best western hero, obviously.
Digimon is not forgotten and Halo is bigger than I thought.
Gundam out performing Dragon ball, Batman, DC Extended Universe, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Star Trek and Halo; my stars, this is perfect!

Holy fuck an actual boomer

I bet you also said Captain Marlel wouldn't break 100mil

I’m seeing it and you can’t stop me.

>most reviews are from gaming sites and magazines that praised Warcraft
>top critics score is 38% and normie critics lean towards top crititcs score
>losing to Chad Detective Conan and second week of Endgame in Japan in box office in your opening weekend

youtube.com/watch?v=fFzj14bpMu4

tfw 75% of fate cost comes from 2 last years from single mobile game that already outgrossed most of top gaming franchises, le kek

*ahem*, listen close my friends. I made a promise long ago, a promise to those very dear to me, a promise made in public that bears repeating. I promise to Never watch a movie with a nigger lead. If the film needs a one off villain like robocop or death wish then so be it, but a nigger lead? Fuck no. You see friends, blacks aren't human, they're walking apes, antique farm equipment, useless relics from a useless region. I say imprison every last fucking one if you want my opinion on the matter

Yeah it lost me with the black protagonist

>China
Third highest grossing movie in China ever. First highest grossing foreign movie in China ever. Still in theaters.

>Japan
Second weekend being bigger than opening weekend of Defective Pikachu, only Spiderman perfoming better since Japan loves Spiderman.

You are legit retarded, my friend.

imagine being this autistic to not google "Detective Pikachu" video game

Call of Duty 2003 est. $17 billion
Wii series 2006 est. $14.8 billion
Dungeon Fighter Online 2005 est. $11.8 billion

Fate 2004 est. $4.06 billion(Video games – $3.486 billion)

My pen pal from Sendai won't shut the fuck up about into the spiderverse. Should I see it?

no

Why did the hollywood idiots cast a fucking mutt? It will gigaflop in europe and asia

>when you make a product meant to appeal entirely to the Asian market but cast a black guy as the human lead

Same reason they cast a sexually underdeveloped white woman and the niggest nigger as the leads for the new Star Wars while pretending it's about inclusion. They knew white guys would go see Star Wars because of the name, they know asians will see Pokemon for the same reason.

>trAsh
Cringe

How the fuck is Hello Kitty that profitable.

Endgame has no legs. After the first week or so everyone has gone to see it to avoid spoiler or general anticipation of finishing the MCU arc. After that it's pretty much done and everyone who's going to see it already has. Sure some fans*ys will pump some numbers into it but it won't touch Avatar.

Even if it does by some miracle get to Avatar, Based Jim is already preparing to bury capeshit forever in his lair.

>instead of the cartoon
Oh yeah, adapting the story of a loser who can't stop losing to film is a good idea.

it will make less than Alita

Is this some sort of personal attack?

What did Japan think of cartoon spider nigger boy?

It's based on a video game you tard.

>Why would a Pokemon be a detective?

This is explained in the game and probably also in the movie

>Who the hell is their target audience?

-The millions of people who like Pokémon as a series
-The millions of people who like Pikachu
-The millions of people who like Ryan Reynolds

>How did they even get a license? Doesn't this completely fuck up the Pokemon brand?

No, it's a spinoff and is disconnected from the mainline games, which are in turn disconnected from the anime, anime films, and spinoff games like Conquest and Mystery Dungeon.

Pokémon has a lot of different continuities that have nothing to do with each other, but clearly you have no interest in discovering this for yourself. You prefer complaining about something you don't understand like a child with Down's Syndrome.

In Fate's defense it's not fair to compare it to long-running series like CoD because Fate only really picked up once Grand Order came out, which is the mobile game the previous guy was referring to.

Even then though it's only popular in Japan, I don't think the GO app was even oficially translated and made available overseas.

>Black Panther will flop
>gets btfo
>Jurassic World will flop
>gets btfo
>Spider-Man will flop
>gets btfo
>Wonder Woman will flop
>gets btfo
>Aquaman will flop
>gets btfo
>Halloween will flop
>gets btfo
>IT will flop
>gets btfo
>Captain Marvel will flop
>Gets btfo

And now you retards are expecting a live-action Pokemon movie of all things to flop. Y'know, the biggest IP on planet earth.

Nigga u dumb. Detective Pikachu isn't meant to appeal entirely to the Asian market, it's meant to win over the Western market.

It'll sell in Japan no matter what because it has Pikachu.

Now it'll sell in America because it also has an average American person.

>Doesn't this completely fuck up the Pokemon brand?
Nah. It got casual players and people who haven't played in years to remember Pokemon exists right in time for Sword & Shield news to start popping up.

>The Virgin WB
>The Chad Disney

>-The millions of people who like Ryan Reynolds
