I tend to forget War Machine is supposed to be Tony's best friend, like, what the fuck. The new Rhodes doesn't give me that impression at all, he looks too calm and old to be the friend of this powerful playboy dude. The personalities don't match, Rhodes is more suited to be Steve's friend.

why are fan theories better than the actual story even of a good MCU movie? Fan theories were that avengers would convince thanos to undo the snap. Either that or captain american grasping the gaultet and overpowering thanos' willpower to control the stones would be much better than even what we got.

I don't think he pulls as unassuming and friendly face as Ruffalo, Norton's face still kind of intense and threatening. It may make for a more obvious depiction of Banner's suppressed anger, but Ruffalo's acting works on juxtaposition between his forms, plus he did handle the passive aggressive side in the first Avengers really well, before becoming the joke character.

Would never happen, he's a good actor but an absolute nightmare to direct and work with, his shit would've never flown with the weak capeshit directors and the studio execs, and that's not even mentioning how much he would've demanded for pay.

Ruffalo and Cheadle are shit casts.

Yeah, still, there was no reason to think of the movies other than as a way to make a quick buck, RDJ played the long game and it payed off, since he renegotiated for a percentage of the revenues, others, not so much.

Well, fan theories are mostly the brainpower of dozens or hundreds of autists who dedicate hours of their life to think this stuff. And they aren't writers, for the most part.
You can have a nice short idea like

but then you gotta fit that into a 3 hours movie with a nice beginning, mid phase and climax and ending that makes sense and it gets iffy. Of course, I don't doubt people on the internet can do it, I probably have a good shot at it. But the guys actually doing the script are trained in more shit we can't even begin to consider like giving dialogues to everyone and dividing their screentime according to their paychecks and gestures and whatnot. Too many factors so maybe they aren't as good thinking up cool stuff, but they make their ideas work.

That's my guess anyways. But yeah shit like Overpowering Thanos will could have been done even on this movie, just have the exact same scene of Ironman struggling grabbing the gauntlet and not being pushed back despite getting punched by Thanos, using the stones and dying right there instead of stealing them.
Though, the scene of Thanos snapping and the the reveal were kino.

He was still considered a potential liability at the point of making IM1 and not even Marvel expected the MCU to blow up as much as it did. It was partly a lucky break for RDJ that he got as much dosh as he did from his role as Tony Stark but I say that he deserves all the money he got from Disnay since he was a very major part of why these movies ware so successful.
