Soap drama in space, dumb, forced and obnoxious.

>Redditstar Redditica

>Watched season 1 in its entirety
>Watched season 2 and skipped straight to pegasus trilogy after Adama recovers
>Skipped straight to season 3 and gave up after exodus part 2
Jesus tv, you should have told me this was pure filler schlock. The amount of filler in this show is so mind numbingly retarded. Fuck all 23 episode season shows and fuck you most of all

This. It's why I avoid shows with more than ~10 episodes in a season. It isn't necessary. The miniseries was decent. After that it's pretty downhill. Retarded twists every 5 episodes and nothing in between.

Eh, I though season 1 episodes 6 & 7 were alright.

It was 10/10 emokino.
Religion shit was retarded though.

if that constitutes filler, and you can't enjoy the "filler" then the problem is really just on your own end. you don't know how to consume TV properly, so go fuck yourself first and foremost

I really enjoyed it as my old college buddy loaned me the DVDs. I stopped around 2.5 (the writer's strike period) and never finished, though.

kino

Season 1 was okay, 2 was pretty good, 3 and 4 sucked, they lied about the Cylons plan and just made shit up as they went along so the whole story ended in a boring and disappointing way, and after New Caprica the series loses it's drive and urgency and the Cylons just become a nuisance background threat.

In all, a few good episodes surrounded by a sea of boring garbage and an interesting premise they didn't have the balls or intelligence to fully explore.

From what I've seen it was alright, but the gratuitous and useless sex scenes got on my nerves.

S1 - incredible
S2 - brilliant
S3 - turgid supernatural soap opera
S4 - shite redeemed only by some good acting

Overall the show degenerated into relying on ill written mystery with no payoffs

>dude what if god
>dude what if everyone was a cylon
>dude what if reincarnation
>muh tribes
>lol dude FRAK aren't we clever? lol

It was forced and unrealistic.

Whenever anybody asks about BSG, I tell them to stop watching at this exact episode

exactly this

Meh. Honestly by the time the writer's strike ended I was so invested I had to keep watching.
S4 has enough great acting moments to make it worth it.

Best space show ever made

Attached: 15158453486911.jpg (959x730, 43K)

Revelations & The Oath/Blood on the Scales did have some very good moments

Attached: 1470578354938.jpg (1016x1492, 348K)

which reboot? BSG? Caprica? or that retarded space journey BSG wannabe

he wasn't talking about Legend of the Galactic Heroes

OP here. I meant BSG

Boomer>>>>>a toaster>>>shit>>>Athena

Thats obvious desu. Also Athena was a trap.

As if anyone ever asks you.

I binged it and it felt like a chore, at times.
Unlike a lot of HBO shows.

Season 1's Baltar and Six relationship was pure kino. Nothing can beat that. The six degrees of separations is the peak of the show

The CGI still holds up today

Attached: Brace for turbulence.webm (600x338, 2.85M)

CGI gets worse and worse.

BSG was never about CGI, it was superb thou. It was always about the style

Agreed. This is not how religion works

The religion is about the plan and faith so yes it did quite nice depiction of it

Damn the rescue of NC was some epic shit with fat Lee's suicide charge.

I haven't seen this this series since I was 13 when it was released, even then I didn't get passed season 1. Gonna watch it again, but should I start with the 2 episode miniseries first or just start from the main series?

The miniseries comes first and is some of the best episodes of the series

Miniseries is just the pilot season, yes watch it.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who liked Caprica.

I will never not be mad at Lee or how the show writers just threw Pegasus away like this

it wasnt as bad as ppl say. The teenagers motifs were despicable thou

We get a movie reboot,it will have gender changed characters again. What's your bet Yea Forums? I want Gaius to remain a white male and Six to be a hot black girl.

The scientist in the series bothered me. Is it really so hard to say "I fell in love with an intelligent science-minded woman, and in my ignorance I allowed her to help write the defense grid. She revealed to me it was a cylon."
Then he turns from reason and logic to religion.

Was Gaius Baltar a Chad?

He fucked like a hundred million thousand Cylons so yeah.

>I want Gaius to remain a white male and Six to be a hot black girl.
We both know it doesnt work like that

You totally misunderstand Baltars character. Rewatch the pilots again.

So just like game of thrones. But shorter.

$50 says Starbuck will be transgender

>will be

Despite what you've been told this is a woman And a cute one at that

Katee Sackhoff is fucking terrible but surprisingly she managed to pull off the unhinged tomboy pretty well.

>puts a hand on her crotch to hide the buldge
>hey user, believe me shes a woman alright

B-but they could get racemixing points! It would be the best pairing ever...

you didnt get me.

Thoughts?

Starbucks will be black in the reboot
Cast them. I hope Michael B Jordan is the new Starbucks

Woman

Six will be black in the reboot. Cast her.

that valkire mongol from Thor

Tika Sumpter

Did anybody else hate Tricia Helfer in the show? She was always so fucking smug and condescending every time she was on screen. Seeing her battered and broken in Pegasus/Resurrection Ship was serious catharsis by proxy

Attached: Please Disturb.jpg (480x270, 33K)

>not putting the captive Cylons in a Faraday Cage to keep them from transmitting on death
Incompetent military is incompetent

>She was always so fucking smug and condescending every time she was on screen
Have you watched one full episode at least?

if they can communicate at such a long distance it was implied that they had some kind of subspace tech.

Have you? Every time Head 6 was on, every time, it was the same damn thing
>God is love Gaius
>That which God gives, he can also take away
>Don't give in to blasplemy
>He has a plan for all of us
>Surrender yourself to His will and all will become clear
And she always did it in THAT voice. You know the one - that haughty, airy holier-than-thou tone and I hated it.

First two seasons are good, stopped caring in S3.

Thats was her role you retard. She was an angel, messenger of God. She prepared him for his role in the plan

Best disection of Bush era. Angel end sucks.

That part of the show made my blood boil. I thought her character was alright at first, but then "muh gawd is an awesome gawd"

And she was so unbelievably annoying. And not in the good way like Louise Fletcher, she wasn't supposed to make you hate her.
This guy gets it

I prefer science in my science fiction. If we're doing angels, I'd prefer them to be metaphorical or to be aliens that look like the fucking ophanim.

To the show's credit they never went heavy on techno-babble. Hell, we only saw the engine room of the Galactica once.

>we're doing angels, I'd prefer them to be metaphorical or to be aliens that look like the fucking ophanim.
She had to get down to Baltar's level. Really - have any of you really watched that show?

I only watched the last episodes with people walking in a palace and then everyone agreeing to go their own way because god or something.
Dreadful.
