I've never dabbled in anything like that (afraid I'll enjoy it too much) but as a daily drug user I've always viewed addiction and the scope of an individual's addiction as its own entity. One's poison of choice is irrelevant when whatever that poison is takes over one's life. A daily smoker or even daily coffee drinker has no room to judge a heroin addict.
