Alita changes so much over the course of the movie it's always a struggle for me to get her voice dialed in to a specific point. Even in her curio shop conversation there's a bit of mature (the motorball exchange) and immature (the HW accusation). I'm never sure how well everything meshes so it means a lot to hear you say that. Slow that down by half, throw a nice music box sound on it, and I'll call it canon.

For sure, it's hard to get a bead on her sometimes. For what it's worth, one of the fundamental points which I think comes through in the way she expresses herself is that she doesn't much talk about the physical world around her. Rather, she often talks about her feelings in response to said world. A good comparison point is with her conversation with Zapan in Kansas. Zapan talks about the specifics of the people who exist in the bar. He lists Clive Lee's kills, and is very intent about the ability of the Damacus blade to technically slice things. Alita by comparison makes a compassionate plea based on her feelings of justice. Rather than merely describing the world around her she feels it. Hell, just think about these lines:

>That's so good!
>I feel a connection with this body.
>This is my fault.
>It's much more sensitive.
>You're making me nervous.
And many more. While this isn't a rule to follow 100% of the time (since you of course need some kind of description of the world around her), I think that it's a good place to fall back on when you're not sure on a particular line.
Also as a much better actual suggestion I'd say this as an instrumental would be good for the melody and it's nice throwback:

With Bucky I think maybe they should cross paths while doing some bounty hunting, so they start with the wrong foot. After that I'd take it to Kansas and have them interact there a little bit.I think Bucky should be struggling with PTSD and losing control every once in a while, he's 100 so he was the oldest until Alita showed up. Also, guns, he has to have guns despite them being banned, so he either has a secret stash or he lives outside.
I don't write stories so this is all I got for now, with Nebula I have no idea, since she's more of a space character I'd introduce her through flashbacks and then Alita decides to search for her to see if she is still alive, maybe

For what it's worth, Nebula and Bucky are actually some of the least quip-heavy characters in the MCU. They're both amazingly grounded compared to any of the GotG. But as I've always said, my personal loyalty is always first and foremost to Alita and her story.
