Was this a good remake?
Was this a good remake?
No.
Yes.
Maybe.
Yes.
not a good remake but it was a good movie
It made me really horny. Why did it make me so horny
yes, if you're a RLM drone. No if you think for yourself, and are an individual
Absolutely trash
A remake of what, Space Mutiny?
What're your favorite movies?
Dogshit, the original was much better and it wasn't even that great.
Bullshit boring"artsy" film with a bunch of ugly unshaved feminists.
Original cast was miles more attractive than the Haggard crack whore who plays main character
have sex
finally got to see Dakota Johnson naked, so very good film
Bend over, cuck
It was a revision of the original, touched on different things completely. It’s not super fair to compare the them, they both succeed and fail in separate areas.
Never saw the original. Is it all in german? I cant do subtitles.
I was impressed by how much they replicated the original style but it still felt like a modern film
>I cant do subtitles.
Yeah sorry you dont approve
Some inspired body horror scenes. Otherwise forgettable.
Yes, very good.
Only things I found annoying were Swinton as the old man (pointless, considering her voice gave the whole thing away) and that stuttery effect at the end when the death spirit was bursting heads, it made it look like a cheap 90s movie.
Other than that it was great.
UNMADE
Wait WHAT?
Forgettable
i dunno. i'll never watch it
It was great. If you're complaining about actresses not being material for your small dick to get hard then that's on you.
You got baby duck syndrome.
Original movie was non-scary, unpleasant piece of shit remembered by no one. Well, somebody tell me once that film was about visual and sound, but making all red and playing ONE FUCKING SONG OVER AND OVER LOUDER AND LOUDER UNTIL YOUR EARS BLEED does it make it good movie.
As remake? Great. As movie itself? Questionable. I enjoyed it mostly, but was quite disappointed by poor ending without proper explanation. Also, it feels like authors wanted to end film at middle of it.
It was a good reimagining
It’s okay. The original is still better but that’s only because of the visuals and it’s less up its own ass. I’m too much of a brainlet to understand the shit with Dr Joesf and his wife.
dakota’s shorts
it was ok. it was different enough from the original to warrant it's existence but it didn't even come close to surpassing it.
reminder that retards said "wow what a piece of shit, way worse than the original" about john carpenter's the thing
reminder that retards said "wow what a piece of shit, way worse than the original" about spike lee's oldboy
>Ahh haa
>Ehh HAAA
>SLII HAAA
The remake was going for a completely different vibe. It was also scattered in the worst way possible - the worst scenes are away from the school itself and there are a LOT of them. The attempt at some sort of allegory simply didn’t work. Maybe they should’ve just made their own movie without piggybacking on the original’s clout. Just sad
Oh shit i just realized this too
Yeah well, most critics then hated horror unless it was an allegory for the communist scare.
Those critics were completely right and justified and did nothing wrong.
What were they trying to accomplish at the end? Summon a demon that was like, the real leader of the cult or something? I guess im a smooth brain
Not enough big fish hook gore/10
You realize you can see that in 50 shades without her popping her ankle bones out on screen right?
They are both very different, but I think the 2018 remake is the superior film. I particularly love the deeper take on Susie and where she ends up by the end, as compared to the Susie in the original.
The Coven is led by Helena Markos, an old witch who has kept herself alive by having her Coven routinely groom a young woman to eventually become a sacrifice to transfer her life essence into Markos. This is done through the dance performance Volk - the witches uses dance to cast spells.
An important note here is that Markos does not take the likeness of the sacrificial woman. She simply absorbs her essence, which is why we see a picture of Markos looking normal and healthy in the lobby of the dance company.
In the movie, they are grooming Susie for the sacrifice. Markos personally believes she is Mater Suspiriorum, one of the three mythical Mother witches. Since it's prophetical no one knows for absolute certainty, but her followers believe she is because of the power she's wielded up until this moment.
Susie reveals herself as the true Mater Suspiriorum and summons her familiar, which is the demonic creature you are referring to.

This is confirmed in an interview with the screenwriter, which I highly recommend reading if you are interested in this movie.
Because Dakota Johnson is hot as fuck.
