How good of a swordsman was he?
How good of a swordsman was he?
doesn't matter when he has a thanoscopter setting on it
Master level, easy
Why does he keep changing the skin color?
Was thanos exceptional or was his whole race as strong as him? And if they were how did they get wiped out?
>And if they were how did they get wiped out?
He literally says why, they ran out of resources.
Thanos in the comics was a mutant weirdo who was way stronger than the rest of his race. The rest of his race are still really strong but looked like normal people.
In the movies its probably different but they'll never touch on it again.
thanoth
he was an Eternal, which is a race that was built to be heroes of their planets
Why was his sword strong enough to break Cap's shield? I thought only other vibrainium weapons could damage it?
What the fuck is that thing made out of? Why did it just demolish the indestructible shield?
>super advanced society with means of space travel and ties with intergalactic civilizations
>decides to wallow on home planet until it croaks
Literally makes no sense
It's made out of Vibranium.
Pretty sure vibranium is only the strongest material known to man, so space definitely has some stronger things out there
Was that even the real shield? I didn't think it was because of how cheaply it broke, but at the same time Mjolnir was bouncing off it. How would Thanos without any stones break something a weapon of the gods doesn't even damage?
In the movies the shield is straight vibranium rather than the indestructible vibranium-adamantium alloy with weird molecular bonding it is in the comics. Thats why black panther was able to scratch it. The sword is probably made of vibranium or some even stronger space metal.
Able to go toe-to-toe with 3 of the best Avengers single-handedly simultaneously. I'd say he's pretty skilled.
It's hard to be a good swordsman with a completely impractical double ended sword. I had hoped he would use it more like a staff since each end has a blunt side but no.
They ate too much.
>earth tech vs space tech
I have the same question about Superman. Do all Kryptonians possess God like powers?
that's what I figured, I just couldn't say for certain if it was ever brought up within the movie itself.
Wasn't Thor's hammer made of the same stuff as Stormbreaker? The shield held up fine for that.
or crack open a fucking book you shitheel
all kryptonians who go to earth would have superman powers.. who do you think Zod is?
Yeah they do
bro Kryptonians being super powerful under a yellow sun is like the most prominent comic book lore in the fucking planet, get a clue
In Earth's setting they are all gods. Has to do with their anatomy and the "Yellow Sun" and earth having lower gravity or something.
I always wondered if there are any places in the universe that give humans godlike powers in the comics.
Better question is why didn't he look like this? These two 2014 Thanoses are only a couple days removed from each other
Did Engame Thanos skip his elaborate morning routine where he changes into a slightly different suit of armor, and gets botox injections and makeup to change his shade of blue/purple?
Ebola virus.
They retconned his appearance.
Yes, that's the no-fun answer.
Still kinda distracting though, unless they give GotG 1 the George Lucas treatment and replace the old Thanos model
I thought the whole Kryptonian extinction event was stupid too desu. Like maybe it kind of made sense in the beginning but they wanked them so much retroactively because Superman’s legacy HAS to look cool
>yfw you realise the knife he gave Gamora as a child, his favourite daughter, is just a mini of his main melee weapon
Daaw!
Thanos is the antispiral of marvel
Makes literally zero sense considering their technology
The Anti-Spiral was more committed, at least it was explicitly looking for the final data on spiral behaviour before it felt secure using it’s bullshit to either wipe out all life or simply erase spiral behaviour, I forgot which
Well, in the comics Thanos rips it in half without the stones so figure it out. He's also picked up Mjollnir without the stones so figure that one out too.
Thanos was an exceptional case, and may have specifically been chosen as the champion of death, in addition to having been genetically manipulated by Ziran the Tester - a celestial. Thanos name was not originally supposed to be Thanos, but the name was blurted out upon his birth and the sight of his body, giving evidence for interference from Death in his birth.
He has the stones when he smashes it.
Not when he shattered it during the Infinity Gauntlet series. He's ripped in half before. Like literally in half.
>He's also picked up Mjollnir without the stones so figure that one out too
Yeah but so did a frog so who fucking cares
