What more needs to be said?

Thanos knee about the avengers after nyc.

Because comic book movies are for children

He knows Tony was the guy who flew the nuke threw the wormhole.

Because it’s a movie with a lot of stuff that makes it deeper than it appears. It doesn’t have to spoon feed you everything. And yes it’s the soul stone

Missed opportunity since they went back in time to 2014
>Gamorah goes to see Thanos
>he's getting an update on Stark from a Skrull spy

This is me, and just wanted to point out how despite it being called a kids flick, stuff like this goes over the head of mostly everyone, like the retards above. Why the fuck would Thanos knowing who Stark is based on information provided by the Other cause him to say he’s cursed with knowledge? Are you people fucking brain dead

Why wasn't THIS touched on?

I thought he was just referencing the idea that only he knows that killing half of the universe is the way to save it, like when he says to Gamora "I'm the ONLY one who knows it" or whatever.

He knows how the invasion in New York destroyed him as a person. He knows that his paranoia ended up making him create the thing he dreads. His whole suit of armor over the world thing he touches on in AOU. Him knowing that aliens will come to Earth again and they need to be prepared for it caused a split between him and his team because no one bothered to care about the bigger picture.

It's simple. Thanos was obsessed with stopping his race from dying while Stark was obsessed with stopping Thanos. They both knew the future and struggled with trying to stop it in their owns ways. There's no deep meaning to it.

original dialogue from behind the scenes footage implies that Thanos knows Stark because of the Soul Stone. It should have been left in because it never goes into any detail what the Soul Stone does or what powers you get while wielding it.

Also because Tony, like Thanos, did what he thought was right regardless of the consequences. He has the intelligence, the tools, and the will to exert his will on a large scale.

I’m talking about how Thanos knew something so fucking personal about some guy involved in the defeat of one of his many minions. It’s fucking unbelievable that Thanos would have personal and emotional information about Stark solely because the Avengers defeated Loki. Thanos knowing who the avengers are is a given, but Thanos knowing Stark personally and to such a deep emotional level is fucking retarded and if you think it was anything other than the soul stone you are a fucking moron, point blank.

>He knows that his paranoia ended up making him create the thing he dreads

This is something else I've wondered about, the
>Fine, I'll do it myself
line in reaction to Ultron's failure

Was Thanos in some way influencing or controlling Ultron? Or did Thanos know about what was happening with Ultron at all? If so, how?

And how does the line make sense? Do what himself? Ultron's stated goal was hitting the earth with a meteor and causing a mass extinction, not collecting all the Infinity Stones

I thought that was just Thanos' reaction to Loki's failure to bring the space stone in Avengers and Ronan's failure to acquire the Power Stone for him

ah shit I misread what you said before. Yeah he knew about Stark but only got that deep look into him because of the stone.

>Tfw Coulson was a Skrull all along
That would have been kino

Why was Ronan even working for Thanos btw?

No problem, just make sure you pass this knowledge on.

He’s talking about his “knowledge” that half the universe needed to die or we’d starve or whatever

Thanos said he would destroy Xandar for him.

the entirety of Endgame was a missed opportunity

This could make sense, except Age of Ultron spends a lot of time explaining the Infinity Stones, and there's Thor's line about how "the horrors in our heads, Ultron himself, they all came from the Mind stone". And the Mind stone itself came from Loki's scepter, which was provided to him by Thanos.

Leading one to think that the mid credits line had something to do with the movie's plot

He has knowledge on who everyone is because of the Soul Stone. An earlier draft had the line "I know your soul" instead but they changed it because it was too on the nose.
