Personally I think the casting aside from Alba and Chiklis was really off, especially with Reed and Doom. It's like a C- movie while Rise of Silver Surfer and the reboot that doesn't deserve a mention are D or worse.

Yeah the thing scenes were all great, and I liked that they went for a real costume instead of just cg but I wish he was bigger. It's interesting looking back on how small scale the entire thing was too, the main "action" sequence outside of the climax is them just moving a fire truck.

Make them the future foundation instead. Start with the white suits from the start and establish dr Doom properly. Marvel won't fuck up Dr Doom like fox did so he's gonna be the best part for sure. Maybe have Spiderman as a friend of the Human torch, then possibly introduce the symbiote if needed.

One of my favorite parts of 60s Marvel was the rivalry HT and Spiderman had, where they seemed to hate each other's guts. If they could parallel that in the new one, maybe Johnny being a popular college student, I would really enjoy it. Should they age all of them down?

I think only Johnny should be made younger. Susan should be in her late thirties while reed is in his mid forties maybe. Thing and Doom should also be around reed's age.

I think compared to expectation and what could have been done with the material, it was terrible. It also seemed to be generic Hollywood action instead of taking the comics and running with it.

Don't have Jonathan Kent inexplicably die in a tornado in front of his invincible son instead of having a heart attack. And don't make an Eastern European dictator with no superpowers besides his suit a generic white guy with no accent and weird powers who spends all his time not ruling his country for some reason.

Make Doom foreign, give him a suit but nothing else, make him incredibly smug and intelligent and actually have him in Latveria for more than five seconds and everything should be fine.
