Didn't watch all of the first video, but even in the first minute he is torn between liking the battle and hating the narrative/story elements

This. I was dissipointed on the night, but it wasn't all that bad. Day two, I was mad about it. Day 3, I fucking hated the writers for being so fucking lazy and totally derailing the show.

And for me, who killed NK wasn't that vital. It was more the night king:

That's what annoys me. If they had at least had her fight alongside dickless and the hound for a minute, after a dramatic intro, before one shotting NK, I feel like it would have been OK, or at the very least believeable.
Or hell, have her actually inflict a mortal wound on him, as opposed to him just vaporizing into mist from a side prick.

The Night King/Walkers dying at all ruins the battle for me, as well as the episode and entire series. Doesn't really matter who does it, they're all weaker and they AT MOST should have managed to beat him and his legions back (suffering catastrophic losses in both general troops and critical characters/leaders) for a temporary reprieve, maybe with Melissandre killing herself in some le ebin fire shield ward spell.

I can understand this point of view. I feel like the ep would have been in 9/10 territory at the very least if that had happened.

But what I'm saying is that NK is shown to be an unstoppable monster with god like power, and he died like a bitch. He didn't even try to fight back and literally jobbed like a mid card wrestler going ip against the champ. And if they just HAD to kill him off so soon, they could have made it look like an actual struggle, and not broken all their own rules to make it happen. I would personally be OK with that at least minimal level of effort.

I'd still feel let down a little, but not like right now.
