The whole point of the fight is that Batman believes Superman is an evil superpowered dictator from outer space that will doom the planet if he's not dealt with.

Batman was determined to KILL Superman because it was either him or us. If Batman knew Superman would hold back, then he would also have to admit Superman is a good person at heart and not a fucking threat.

i should edit this to say that it's not actually an AI, but a VI. Meaning, it does not have full control over Tony's suit, which is why it can only inform him that he cannot beat him hand-to-hand requiring tony to execute functions such as "analyze his fight patterns" etc.

the AI isn't controlling the suit, the AI isn't saying "you can't beat him hand-to-hand, let me analyze his fight patterns and employ a counter-measure for you to beat him hand-to-hand then" - the VI isn't capable of doing this, the VI doesn't make decisions, it only informs.

it is up to Tony to get these reports and analyses and then decide what to do. tony still has executive control and function.

earlier in the fight, when Friday says "auto-aim is knackered" it takes Tony to make the executive decision to eyeball it as he shoots a missile at the silo's hinge. it doesn't just say "auto-aim is knackered, use your eyeball to shoot the hinge".
