We were just discussing the re-location of the film industry to inject a new life into the artistic process of making films, and an user mentioned film festivals. THIS is an excellent idea for a number of reasons:
1. Allows for local and regional talent to shine. 2. Allows for local and regional stories that are far more appealing to a local audience. 3. Allows for local job and talent development programs. 4. Helps support and maintain local economies
There was a time when music was largely regional based, and this allowed for good music to rise to the top of the regional charts BEFORE it was unleashed upon other regions, which lead to a better quality product for all. It think the film festival concept could create the same kind of activity and quality.
What else can be done to remove film making from the clutches of the corrupt degenerate scum in Hollywoodland?
You realize this already exists, right? Just about every large-ish city has local film festivals. I live in Pittsburgh and we have that.
Benjamin Morris
>What else can be done to remove film making from the clutches of the corrupt degenerate scum in Hollywoodland? a Tsunami
Wyatt Morgan
Are you stupid?
Local industries and independant film makers exist. There are numerous festivals worldwide.
If Hollywood didn't exist to produce the films that are produced in Hollywood those films wouldn't exist. That's all. There would be no hidden, mistunderstood talent out there suddenly making incredible films.
Chase Hill
Actually, no, because none of them ever get any press for some reason.
Hmmmm....what could that reason be, I wonder. It's almost like somebody tries to keep them suppressed from the public for some reason. can't argue with dubs
Colton Wilson
>This amount of delusion.
Ryan Green
>Hmmmm....what could that reason be, I wonder. It's almost like somebody tries to keep them suppressed from the public for some reason. What shithole are you from originally? You're fucking delusional. Yes of course Hollywood producers release advertisement for their own films and not somebody elses.
Caleb Collins
Maybe you should look into what your city offers and get involved instead of shitposting so much. Just a thought.
Ryder Miller
As stated in the last thread, conservatism and artistic creativity are not compatible.
Logan Johnson
>because none of them ever get any press for some reason. Of course they don't get a lot of press because they're low budget but anyone genuinely interested in film will know about these festivals. You yourself could have made a thread about it but you're not interested in film. You're interested in Jews which is why you keep making this thread archive.4plebs.org/tv/search/image/7H7FalLY9TbwlMHhAM02EA/
Tyler Lee
Shitposting has revealed the struggle the film festival faces against the corporate Jew in hollywoodland, so it hasn't been all for waste now, has it?
Jaxon Hill
Jesus Christ. Why are you such a goddamn faggot, OP? Get it together.
Eli Cox
Yes, it absolutely was a waste and accomplished nothing.
Brody Adams
That actor lady that an heroed there took a glimpse into the future and that made her do it.
Ayden Cook
This. There's a reason most artists are left leaning. Creatives are higher in the 'openness' personality trait, while conservatives are lower.
Ryan Howard
I agree but like said, they kinda exist. I live in a smallish city in Tennessee and we have a pretty big film festival here. Just saw Crispen Glover present his retard movie there, it was weird as shit but one of the best cinematic experiences I've had in a long ass time. Also got to meet Crispin and ask him about Spielberg, the dude is LITERALLY our guy, couldn't have been nicer either.
Conservative "art" comes in the form of every piece of technology that allows a performer to go from performing in front of 100 people in a club to hundreds of millions of people around the world, thanks to the "conservative" employment of math, engineering, and high standards.
Without "conservatives", actors would still be like gypsies roaming from town to town begging people to come see them perform and give them money.
Nolan Cook
>pic related The most beautiful piece of artwork created by man, yet, and one of the men that helped create it.
>weird as shit but one of the best cinematic experiences I've had in a long ass time. That's probably the key right there. Just use the film as an excuse to meet up and party, and if the film is "good", that's all the better, but if not, you still had a good time partying.
Jacob Davis
lmao stemfags are the biggest cucks of all time. thanks for using your boring nerd skills so Chad Pitt can flash his abs in front of the camera and make millions of pussies wet.
Oliver Phillips
>STEM grads >conservatives
Lincoln Ortiz
>STEM grads >liberal arts faggots, feminists, and wewuz tards
Nicholas Thompson
Why do Americans keep insisting they hate Hollywood and everything it stands for yet gobble up everything they shit out on command?
Colton Davis
How much would it cost to rent a theater for screenings? That'd be a decent party idea.
Joshua Sullivan
>Muh festivals! There are tons of low level film festivals, and virtually all of them are pay to play cash grab bullshit that will accept just about any awful film just so they can fill their program. If you know even a little bit about the festival ecosystem, nothing is more cringeworthy than seeing the emblem of some no name festival plastered all over the promotional material for a film. It's basically the cinematic equivalent of putting a degree you bought from a scam diploma mill on your resume.
(((they'd))) still try to eventually fuck up film festivals the same way they fucked up those "comic book" festivals that are now just massive attention whore fests.
