Why is Yea Forums so obsessed with the Holocaust?

both

Both.

I watched parts of it again and the violence is so retardedly outlandish that I couldn't help but lol.

Both

So it's a movie that succeeds very well in achieving its aims even if its aims are propagandistic?

Steven Please take me seriously Spielberg

Made by a 'berg'. I'll let you take a wild guess

Watch the eyewitness videos that didn’t make the movie...
Because Hollywood is.

I remember watching Schindler's List senior year. All the bitches were crying and I sat there laughing my ass off. Fucking roasties.

They even had the nerve to call me out on it and get angry but those weak pansies were no match for me as I laughed harder.

"What's that? I can't hear you. You're talking too quietly. Wipe your tears and try again. Did you know Jews are responsible for all the greed and corruption in the world? Every one of those kikes deserved it. Even the Jewboys and girls. They would grow up to be even more corrupt having been raised with the mindset and allowed the time for greed and corruption to build even more. Every Jew dead is one step toward a just society you stupid sluts so shut the fuck up."

The teacher didn't know what to do. She just left the room. At last I had what I have always sought. To stand for truth and justice and have the world tremble before me. This was true power I remember thinking. Heh... So this is what men die just to dream of.

The weak should fear the strong, 1488, fuck jannies.

Most kino event in history

>roller coasters of death
>masturbation machines
>bear and eagle
>soap bars and lampshades

Did any other country make it practically mandatory to watch it in high school, besides America? Why are Americans the target of all this Holocaust education when we weren't even the ones responsible for It?

we never saw it, but my history teacher probably posted on /pol/. most lessons ended in how israel is responsible for whatever happend

United Synagogues of America

so that you send billions of dollars to israel and fight their wars in middle east

based retard

Australia, we watched it at school. Literally has nothing to do with our country

>Why are Americans the target of all this Holocaust education when we weren't even the ones responsible for It?
so they can bring the new generation over to the idea that we need to war for Israel for muh most oppressed people in history. the reality is that this is just to feed the Military Industrial Complex

lol no. We watched A Beautiful Mind like twice though

Attached: 4f9ab152.jpg (400x425, 32K)

>Jews had a bad time in WWII, chiefly due to Axis
>ZIONIST PROPAGANDA

Both as political tool of manipulation as a piece of art capturing a historical event, its exceeds beyond expectations. Just like Eichman's trial rekindled "never forget" in the 60s, so did Schindler's list reinvigorate the Holocaust both as artistic theme and also politcial tool to silence opposition to the illegal occupation of Palestine.

Great film though. I watch it every year.

We watched Titanic and Pirates of the Caribbean in Bongland. Our teacher basically just told us to try and ignore the magical cursed zombies and focus on the historical stuff.

And of course they dindu nuffin and it was all because Hitler was just arbitrarily full of hate for anything that was different.

Is this real?

This.
Both very well done yet fake as hell.

Kino fantasy flick

>focus on the historical stuff.
But there isn't any. Your teacher was just lazy and wanted 2 hours to take a nap.

The (((American Public Education System))) is full of brainwashing, remember the words of George Orwell "He who Controls the Past Controls the Future, he who Controls the Present Controls the Past."

Hitler hated rich jews for controlling higher levels pf society, so his solution was to mass murder millions of poor jews living in fucking shit houses in Poland and Russia while letting those rich jews buy him off.

Based and Red Pilled

t. nazi
Of course it's real you bigot

They were all Commies, fuck them.

>Pirates of the Caribbean
>historical stuff

You are aware that there were actual Pirates in the Carribbean right?

Both

I thought it was kind of ponderous, but there probably is no way to make a holocaust movie that isn't.

Having said that, I'm surprised this hasn't been made into a movie: youtu.be/c0aoifNziKQ

oy vey, we Mortal Kombat now

KOMM HIERHER

Nazis literally let a Rothschild go after getting ransom

I don't know if you're aware of how many things in your life are the direct result of the Holocaust myth.

damn. aint that the truth.

Only the title have a semblance of historicity.

it's a movie about a historical fiction novel

>that kike janny who gets triggered if you post it

>I thought it was kind of ponderous, but there probably is no way to make a holocaust movie that isn't.

Just change the soundtrack.

Let's look back at that moment where Haneke mogged half of Hollywood in a roundtable by calling The Schindler's List a forced emotion piece of shit

he cute

I watched the french documentary 'night and fog' which Haneke recommends.
That is a truly chilling film, and I think I understood Haneke's point better after seeing it. I would highly recommend it.

I think you're mischaracterizing what he said. I think his point is more that he does not believe such an atrocity should be played up for dramatic purposes, should be made thrilling, or made as entertainment. Not that it is emotionally manipulative.
Because Schindlers List didn't make me feel half of what Night and Fog made me feel. Which was a profound sense of shock and sadness.

But the other side of it is that Haneke clearly believes strongly in learning from the past, in the ever present threat of human nature, and Hollywood has clearly made an attempt to connect with people and spread their message, and they do it with entertainment. So some of the goals are the same, between Haneke and Hollywood.

It is also very strange hearing an Austrian lecture American jews in German about the holocaust.

Joshua Oppenhiemer's take on Night & Fog is also very interesting.

youtube.com/watch?v=0Ow1Lcl-gj4

(Oppenhiemer made The Act of Killing, which I think is one of the greatest films ever made about genocide, one of the greatest films ever infact)

>La lista de Schindler
>Schindler the clever girl
Jesus Christ, Spain

Do you think he's right?
also
Do you think he's right about everything?

Because i love some of Haneke's films, like The Piano Teacher, Happy End & Amour especially, but he often presents some questionable ideas in them.

>I watched the french documentary 'night and fog' which Haneke recommends.
It's historically outdated though, it was a time when people believed that nazis were making soap from jew fat.

In Chile my commie teacher make us watch the movie but only because he didn't liked natsocs.

We watched Kiriko at my school. It was so kino even the valleyhill girls shut their traps. Imagine Stacy being quiet! You can't!!

I don't even remember them saying that.
I didn't really even take away facts from it, or knowledge, but more a deep sense of pain and empathy, far more so than i've felt watching any contemporary documentaries about it, or fiction films like Schindlers list of even Son of Saul.
I don't think any historical inaccuracies in the film even matter, as it's not really a source of information.
Can you watch that video of Oppenhiemer talking about why he likes it and tell me why you think he's wrong?
It's very short.

>a deep sense of pain and empathy, far more so than i've felt watching any contemporary documentaries about it, or fiction films like Schindlers list of even Son of Saul.
That's right, and I actually liked it, but it's a "partisan" movie, not an historical documentary.
>Can you watch that video of Oppenhiemer talking about why he likes it and tell me why you think he's wrong?
Link please ? I'm lazy.

youtube.com/watch?v=0Ow1Lcl-gj4

have you seen the act of killing btw?

>That's right, and I actually liked it, but it's a "partisan" movie, not an historical documentary.
I see what you're saying though

Well I don't think he's wrong, his questions are legit and not in contradiction with my statement.

you made a valid point i'm just too used to any possibly negative comment being made in service of a wholly negative view of something because it's rare to get a considered perspective or any kind of nuance, so sorry and i do take your point and see it wasn't made in service of a larger argument that the film sucks or is not valid or whatever.

>i'm just too used to any possibly negative comment being made in service of a wholly negative view of something
Welcome on 4ch.

I got kicked out of class in high school when we watched it because I listened to O&A at the time and they used drops from it quite often and when they showed up in the movie I started laughing
>I am essential to ze war effort!
>I pahdon you.

We like fictional stories.

The idea that you cant use a historical event to make someone feel a certain way is a bit overreaching for me. He argues that the more responsible thing to do is to step back and let the audience make their own conclusions about the subject, which I appreciate, but I dont agree that it should be a hard and fast rule for all stories dealing with that subject matter.
The value of Schindlers List is that the movie uses a lot of techniques (music, pacing, dialog, shot composition) to communicate a specific idea or emotion to the audience, and it works whether or not you agree with it or think it's too blunt in its approach.
I like Haneke a lot more than Spielberg, but I dont like making blanket statements about how certain stories should be told because it potentially limits the kind of possible expression.

It is not bad, but the fucking ending sucked sweaty ass. The dude sacrificed everything for them, and when he was kneeling and bawling at the end that he could save few more if he only sold his car and they just stare at him through their noses with the 'Yes, you should have' expression.

Yea Forums isnt, /pol/immigrants are

Completely ignores the jewish contribution to european world wars.

Just imagine what is would be like if all jews really were exterminated. History would say that it was the time period that marked the end of a demonic threat.

*blushes*
