what the fuck was his problem?
What the fuck was his problem?
The problem was that they changed the book from the chiefs perspective Jacks. His action in the book was seen as more insane since the staff and inmates didn't know why the fuck he was acting like he did and you ony learn that at a later stage of the book.
You mean the nurses problem op ?
Christopher Lloyd in his debut role stole the show in this movie
You mean women's problem?
The nurse did nothing wrong. She kept them stable, listened to the dumb democracy vote thing, and even forgave the fishing outing.
after she got attacked she rightfully felt threatened by this actual criminal.
if I was a kid when I saw it, i'd maybe see ratchet as a "villain" but she's incredibly reasonable for a female which is rare for a movie
Manic "free spirit" asshole who thinks he should be able to do whatever he wants whenever he wants. I hate nurse Bitchface but imagine having to put up with a rabble rousing shithead like that? I was glad when they zapped his worthless ass!!!FACT!!!
She enforced her power by demeaning the patients and turning them against eachother.
She's way worse in the book. Watching the movie years later I didn't find her to be super villainous.
this is bait
Nicholson's character is the only sane one
more bait
ratched is a complete monster
where the fuck am I
how are chan people not seeing this
I think it's half or more than half the people are there willingly and can leave when they want. I won't say she's evil because she's just doing her job, group therapy, trying to get them to quit smoking. I have no idea how institutions work in any decade, she was probably just following rules.
He was lobotomized and turned into a vegetable. They essentially murdered him over a petty power struggle.
He tried to murder her.
I like this thread, I like this film, I want to contribute to the discussion but I don’t know what to talk about. Give me something really specific.
>He was lobotomized and turned into a vegetable. They essentially murdered him over a petty power struggle.
AFTER he tried to choke a woman to death and only AFTER shithead decided to throw a party blahblahblah. Why even bother trying to explain this to you. You obviously identity with that shit disturbing asshole because you're an anti-authoritarian who hates that civilization has rules in order to function and you, like he, thinks they don't apply to you. Then when you get in shit you play victim and act like you've done nothing wrong.
Quote about Randle McMurphy - "recidivist criminal Randle McMurphy is moved to a mental institution after serving a short sentence on a prison farm for statutory rape of a 15-year-old."
Fuck him. He's an asswipe!!!FACT!!!
Only after she as good as murdered Billy. And while McMurphy may have been at fault there, what they did to him was monstrous.
It was just a prank bro, he was faking being crazy. he only lost his cool because that Billy boy killed himself.
Randle was seconds away from escaping home free, if he didnt go back to see what happened he'd be out in the real world with his GF and friend
book was fantastic, movie didn't make a huge amount of sense
I cant remember the details anymore but was McMurphy really a pedo?
No no, you don't understand. For mental patients the best thing to do is just "be yourself" and go carpe diem. That's why a genius like nicholson is needed because he is so clever and lively that he can actually heal those guys. Following rules? Having a calm place? What are you an old fart?
He was already lobotomized. Just a classic example of an adult pretending to be still in his rebellious stage. Kinda like modern adults.
The difference between this book and 'Sometimes a Great Notion'.
