In Endgame he sold the father/daughter relationship early on which is a key element of the movie's climax. His scene with Howard Stark was good.

I don't really think you can credibly call his performance sub-par. Sure, in many scenes he's just delivering exposition and plot dialog and quipping with other Avengers, but that's just what these movies are at this point and there's nothing wrong with his performance. If you're sick of it after watching the same character in so many movies that's not really surprising but there's only so much you can do with a fast-paced dump of technobabble about the time travel through the quantum realm.
