First, Ner'Zhul was a powerful as all fuck Shaman for the Shadowmoon trapped inside the helm of domination, secondly, Arthas was an experienced paladin, no fucks giving bad ass who'd purge his own people for the greater good wielding a sword that fucking LITERALLY stole souls that he could then commune with and learn from. Fucker even tore out his own heart because it held him back. He was only bested because literal demi-gods and a sword made specifically for ending the undead showed up in his house and it took everything they had to best him.
Night King is a shallow rip off, even down to his fucking dragon.

I thought maybe you had a point but now that I posted the pics and am looking at them again it only reinforces my opinion that they were in fact probably influenced directly by this game. Some of the characters and clothing designs from GOT look literally ripped straight from this game. The game begins with zombies everywhere and the main character wandering through catacombs also. There are zombie dragons and even a Harpy enemy.
