This guy was my favorite in I, Tonya and BlackKKlansman. Was such a pleasant surprise to see him in Cobra Kai.

This season gave me crippling depression.

This season kinda made me feel bad for Kreese. I mean, he's still a bigot, racist piece of shit, but when Johnny follows him we see him for what he really is: A poor, sad old man who's all alone. The only reason he's a threat afterwards is because Johnny is a stunted manchild.
Doesn't excuse what he pulls at the end, tho. He'll have to be taken down.

I hope we get a Vietnam flashback for him in season 3. With how morally grey everything else is Kreese kind of stands out as the only true sociopath so I'd like to see some more dimensions of him.

you're liking him/disliking him for the wrong reasons. Kreese is an old soldier, maybe a little fucked up, who lives his life as if it were a war zone, that explains most of his personality traits. In his mind he really believes he's doing the right thing by taking the old school "this is war" way, even if he has to manipulate J.L in his way to make it happen; he likes the guy. He shines as an "antagonist" because, he ruining what Johnny Lawrence has built.

Cobrabros, watch the trilogy. In Part III, the main villain reveals that he financed Cobra Kai because Kreese saved his life many times in the war. Kreese led platoons, he knew how to command brigades, so it was demoralizing that he couldn't lead kids the same way. These OG characters are deep man. With Ali coming next season, if you don't watch ALL the films, you're doing yourself a disservice.

This may be true in part but I wouldn't put much stock in anything Silver says because he was shifty as fuck and lied all the goddamn time.
Also, Kreese kept telling how he led black ops and was a certified badass in this season and that all proved to be bull.

Weaker season, Miguel took a back seat, Miguels hair was on point for at least half a season. They really needed to ride hawk into the ground as le evil guy. Lesbians out of nowhere. Good music (probably the best thing about the series), as usual. Stingray is a love or hate character (definitely feels like a self-insert). The nostalgia wasn't used as effectively. Larusso feels super disconnected from Miyagi, in fact his whole "family problems" arc was shit house. Johnny Lawrence is holding the show together. Kreese is a cardboard baddie and was probably the wrong way to go. Now they're trying-maybe to resurrect Ali? The girls were actually pretty hot, but they don't show Sams body during the pool scene which is a wasted opportunity.
