How are they going to draw audiences back in after the insane amount of closure in Endgame?
How are they going to draw audiences back in after the insane amount of closure in Endgame?
They don't need to. Normalfags have been conditioned to swarm theaters whenever the latest capeshit comes out. They'd pay out the ass to watch the Russos 69 each other for three hours if the Marvel logo was shown onscreen for half a second.
they're gonna wind down, relatively speaking. think phase 1 again.
By adding Sneed.
This. If you really think about it they kinda lucked out with Fox owning so many of their proeperites because it forced the studio to pace themselves. Now we can have a whole second half of the MCU introducing characters just as important as Spiderman/Ironman/Hulk, etc. It really worked out in their favor.
plenty of sequels are coming up. Spider-Man FFH, Guardians 3, Dr Strange 2, Black Panther 2 etc
Meanwhile they'll use The Eternals to lead into the more cosmic side and tease the next big bad
HOLY FUCKBALLS DEADPOOL GETS TO QUIP WITH SPIDERMAN
EPIC DUDE
Deadpool is not part of the MCU, and thank god he never will be. The entire X men will be recasted.
Actually had a theory that the snap and following un-snap activated the X gene in some of the people it affected.
Disney said that the Fox Deadpool is staying. He's the only fox character going unchanged
How long before they start to drop references and cameos of their new properties in phase 4? They didn't waste time when they got Spider-Man back.
Basically this. The MCU as a whole is a draw now.
Sure some of the movies will be more popular than others and we may never see the heights of Endgame again but it will remain popular for the next 10-20 years as long as they dont fuck it up majorly.
Easiest thing is to do everything all over again, but with new, younger actors starting with an Iron Man I remake.
>Spiderman Far From Home has Oscorp looking to buy the old Avengers Tower
>"Unfortunately it's already been purchased by a higher bidder"
>Ends up becoming the Baxter Building
I can see it now.
As for a straight up cameo, it depends on the release schedule. We are for sure going to get some sort of silver surfer/Galactus cameo in Guardians 3, but if the next movie after Spiderman is Black Panther 2 or some shit it probably won't be until after that
Any incorporation of Deadpool into MCU movies will require the character's personality to be toned down to be compatible with the much more profitable PG-13 ratings.
I think they said they'll keep Deadpool movies R-rated, but with crossover they'll keep him PG-13
They said they are keeping him R rated too. They aren't going to fix what isn't broken.
I'm sure they have a whole room of people working trying to figure out how they can keep him R rated while making sure families know it's not a normal MCU movie and incorporate the Fox version into the MCU without creating a continuity error.
Personally, I'm stumped. Even if they make an R Rated Deadpool movie in the MCU, how do they advertise cameos/crossover characters (ala Iron Man in Homecoming) without confusing parents
The solution is obvious.
Deadpool Kills the Marvel Cinematic Universe
You can continue on with more things regardless of closure.
Here's a plot idea I came up with in my head just now for Avengers 5:
>New, supervillain (doesn't really matter who) overwhelms Avengers
>Determine that they could beat the supervillain if only Tony Stark were still alive
>In their desperation, they decide to use their time travel tech to bring him back to fight
>Success! Tony Stark helps them beat the villain
>One small problem: the timeline in which they picked him in up is one in which he is evil
>Avengers now have to team up and fight him
>Avengers: Iron Terror
See how easy that was? Just one drop of creativity can overtake any obstacle left in place by previous content.
Do you think people care? People don't care about story/visuals /script/acting/cinematography /cgi / jokes/ action / originality
They just go to see MCU movies so they can post online how they are huge nerds
That's not how the MCU time travel works but I seen what you are trying to say
The funny thing is Iron-Man is the easiest character to bring back. They could easily just say he created an AI of himself just Jarvis. Jarvis was self-aware in every way. The suits can be used by AI and it’s definitely the kind of thing Tony Stark would in the event of his death.
This isn't a bad idea actually
>Imediately fanservicey for Deadpool/comic fans
>Instantly let's parents know that it isn't for children, and just because it's an MCU movie doesn't mean Deadpool is suddenly child friendly
You could use the plot to explain how he got to the MCU too.
>Have some sort of universal rift that brings the XMen into the MCU
>Deadpool thinks the new avengers are somehow responsible and kills them and in an attempt to get home
>It's revealed at the end that he wasn't in the REAL MCU, but instead a different very similar universe to retcon everyone's death
It's sloppy and could use a ton of work, but there is potential
I was thinking about that, too.
New movie idea:
>A few years from now, Morgan Stark (daughter of Tony) becomes an adult and for some reason stumbles upon a Iron Man suit designed for her by her father before he died
>It's assisted by AI with his voice with all of the snarky comments and sense of humor
>Working title: Iron Maiden
Note: Paltrow said that Endgame would be her last MCU movie, so she can't be used in the title role, hence an older version of the daughter would need to be used instead.
I honestly hope they don’t use these. There’s already so many movies, MCU was kind of cool at first and even sometimes later because it was literal who’s.
There’s been multiple F4 and XMen movies, and I don’t give a shit about “this time they’ll do it RIGHT!”
They'll need to drop bread crumbs for whatever the next big arc is early, that'll to both help make sure people go to see films they might be less inclined to see (Eternals, Shang-Chi, any other movies introducing relative unknowns) but also get speculation going on who the next big bad is. Some characters are popular enough, either in general or because of their past movies that they can help keep the MCU going until the overarching plot really starts making any motion (Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Guardians). And then they've got the X-Men and Fantastic Four properties, the former of which will instantly give a jumpstart to the MCU in case of waning interests by the time their movie comes out in ~2022, the later of which might not be as popular but does inject Doom into the franchise, which if nothing else can be used as a recurring villain that branches into other characters' movies and boost interest there.
Basically, they're going to have a very hard time fucking up the franchise for the next ~5 years, and if done properly, they could still keep the franchise running pretty high.
they will definitely use it, but it's probably gonna be another 4-5 years before that
It's over. Every movie after this is going to do mediocre, screencap this.
The age of cape flicks is ending.
People aren't gonna care and seem content with leaving things here as the true finale. I have yet to see anyone give a fuck about a Phase 4 or anything, everyone instead expresses how it's over.
>Avengers Alliance sprites
I miss that fuckin game
Fuck this shit, fuck Deadpool and fuck his entire fanbase.
your meme is dead and you get no (you)s
Kree - Skrull - Shi'Ar
Galactus - and his heralds
Doom
Magneto
Masters of Evil
Thunderbolts
Secret Wars
Sinister Six
They got plenty to hype up and so on.
>closure
>implying there was anything in this garbage patchwork story framework that needed closure aside from resolving the cliffhanger from infinity war
They just somehow tricked people into not being pissed off at being played for fools like this and somehow being dumb enough to emotionally invest into half a movie.
Longshot in Mojo World
Chamber stand alone movie
Douglock movie
Being this jealous.
Sorry DC sucks so bad.
I just realized that I never watched Iron Man 3 and I'm not even sure I watched Iron Man 2. I thought I watched all the movies
Jr and evans wanted out, of course its easy to bring them back plotwise retards.
No
Marvel has fans excited to be a part of another saga that will be yet another amazing climax!
Hopefully not the ENTIRE group. I think Hugh Jackman's been great as wolverine. Thing is, he's been wolverine so long he most likely wont be signing anything new with marvel that'll lock him in for another decade.
Fassbender has also been a great young Mags. I wouldn't mind seeing him stick around. Unfortunately, marvel will pivot back to current day mags after dark phoenix.
Stop.
