Pure pottery. It doesn't deserved to be remembered. It was a 9/10 season up until the very last episode which turned it into a shit 4/10 insult
I've had my fill of everything being blacks, feminists and creepy beta white men desu
>"Man was a LARP in 'Nam. You know what that is? Live Action Role-Playing."
What did Pizzolatto mean by this?
rolan... dem duracell keedz
Season 3 fell SO far short of expectations. That 2-3 year hiatus between s2 and s3 created so much anticipation for Pizza's next project, and he shat the bed
Probably one of the worst finale's to a TV show in recent memory.
>IT WAS JUST A PRANK BRO
Literally the worst possible ending
It was absolutely kino till the last episode when our expectations were subverted
TRUE NIGGER
Yeah I've never seen a finale turn a above average GOOD season into a really really bad one. They managed to make one episode finale ruin the whole otherwise good season. There's no way any of then actually thought the finale was good? They made it stupid in purpose.
>IT WAS JUST GONE BABY GONE BRO
Good season but nowhere near as fun to watch as Farrell and Vaughan
you're just upset it wasn't spooky scary skeleton yellow king shit. you probably invested way too much effort and time into the various hypotheses that were spouted around here.
They wrapped up the murder mystery well but not in an obvious way
Except the first season wasnt spooky scary yellow king shit either your massive retard
The first seven episodes were excellent television and the finale 8th episode turned it into the dumbest thing I've ever watched. Whole season was a insult to season 1 fans
I swear he resented season 1 fans for not liking season 2. So he said " I'll give you a crime and mystery and everything good from season 1, actually nope nothing happened haha fuck you."
What actually happened in the end that made it all a prank? Spoiler it so jannies dont get mad
dem purcel keeedz
Didn't get into any retarded "theories" or whatever you're implying. He gave the first seven episodes the atmosphere and intensity that season 1 had. Then because nobody liked his fucking stupid second season he obviously made the finale bad on purpose
>LOL NOTHING HAPPENED XD
hating this pile of shit episode is common sense. Don't be stupid and imply hating this literal garbage means I was knee deep in nerdy onions-shit 59 minute YouTube videos.
What?
I didn't watch one episode. What happened that made it all fake?
Imagine being so monumentally dumb that you thought the ending was okay
>Woah... You got me pizza... I actually thought there was a purpose to all this. Guess not! So Clever! How DO YOU COME UP WITH THIS?!? BRAVO
a boy and a girl get lost and the boy is found death in the first episode while the girl still missing , this lead to a 3 decade long investigation that gets ends when
the death was an accident and the girl has been adopted to cover up the story by a woman, then the girls escape and maybe is dead or maybe is living an happy life, this is left unclear since the protagonist has alzheimer and can't fucking recognise her in the ending
it's a pretty fucking huge letdown
The season was really good and atmospheric with really great pace. Unfortunately the final episode didn't deliver satisfying ending. I would still recommend it.
So yeah I didn't hate the season or even the finale wasn't the worst than some shows have had. I just hoped the ending would have been much more satisfying or something you could have figured out yourself.
Sharp Objects was the better True Detective sequel season
Mfw this thread is filled with literal brainlets who couldn’t appreciate the melancholic genius of this season, it’s themes and commentary on modern detective stories. Fucking zoomers I swear
Last episode was a insult.
>Dude what if it was all for nothing? Haha like it was all a prankkk.god I hate my fans so much.
"People" who love season 2 defend it. Cause
>Hating popular thing make me individual
>Liking thing hated by others make me smart
yikes
thanks, now I can skip it
>everyone only likes something becauze Yea Forums is le ebin contrarians
Fuck off retard
>Expecation subverted
>post modern fan hate
>soooo deeep
was pizza boy a one hit wonder?
Now say it without meme arrows
It would've been good if Saulner was the only director.
Next time you reply to me make some kind of argument. Yea Forums is full of contrarians, it's a fact.
Sorry that you think you're an independent free thinking intellectua just for liking season 2 more than 1. It's very sad.
I think the finale was trying to emulate that time is a flat circle theme of the show. I didn't like it at first but the finale has sat a bit better with me since I first watched it.
Meme arrows or not he still made an argument that you have yet to even attempt to challenge. When are you gonna make an argument? Just shut the fuck up.
> Be a fucking stupid contrarian
> Can't make an argument.
No sweetie, even though you clearly think you are a fucking genius for liking universally disliked things. You're not.
Nigga meme arrows are not an argument. He just distorts my words is all. I don’t see anything bad with directors subverting expectorations if it’s done right. I do admit the new season was a bit sloppy and heavy handed at times, but pizza still managed to achieve what he was going for. Of course if people can’t see beyond “le boring mumbling negro with Alzheimer” than I don’t know what to say. This season tackled some very complex themes and topics which you rarely come across in modern tv shows. I am not even being a contrarian for contrarian’s sake. I just really liked it is all
My man you are a pleb
Last episode should've left a bad taste in your mouth. It's not even writing anymore. It's laziness and contempt for people that will swallow it up and say it was okay.
I literally just realized I never finished the last 3 or 4 episodes. Jesus.
Ending was garbage
Still way better than S2 though
>It's not even writing anymore
Care to elaborate? Cuz it’s you who’s outing himself as a pleb friendo
S1 & S2 were both excellent. Is S3 on par?
Did he find dem keedz?
>What if it was all a smokescreen. There was no mystery. It was all for nothing. Just a prank
You call that writing? Damn
>damn... He sure showed season 1 fanboys a lesson. He sure punked them.
>Anybody who hated this ending just mad cause they wanted a spin off of season 1
>No ... There's nothing wrong with subverting your expectations
>No! You just can't see the genius behind it! You don't think it's lazy horrible writing you're just angry for not getting season 1.2
Disgusting. A literal retard in my thread.
Please be bait
>I think the finale was trying to emulate that time is a flat circle theme of the show.
You're probably right, even the S2, as different as it was, did that in a very obvious way in the final ep.
Hurr
The ending was an attempt to surprise you/ subvert your expectations. That all it was, nothing more. it takes no effort in writing at all and nowadays people constantly fall for it/ thinks it's compelling.even though it's just laziness and appealing to easily impressed retards.
>You know how we lead audience to believe X will happen this whole time? well what if we make Y happen out of nowhere. They will think it's brilliant
It's so cheap and appealing to retards. Everytime some hack pulls this cheap trick you idiots think it's compelling writing and call it clever. Keep falling for shit writing npc.
>Be pizza
>Cringe at the thousands of le spooky yellow Kang theories on YouTube and reddit
>They won't shut the fuck up.
>It won't stop
>Will season 3 bring back Yella Kang?
>Le flat circle.
"What if I make audience think they have season 1.2 but at the end it turns out it was actually all for nothing/just a Alzheimer's patient chasing a fart in the wind.maybe these idiots will stfu"?
Pretty easy to see right? Oops according to your post you some how can't see season 3 was mocking faggots like you. Plain as day the last episode put faggots like to shame and you still go at it.
What did he mean by this?
youtube.com
...
Well I did, thank god. Until you made this god awful thread atleast
I don't understand everyone's praise for this. I'm on S01E03 and can barely stay awake. It sucks.
ale pierwszy sezon to ty szanuj
I liked it overall and it started so strong, but it moved at a snail's pace and in the end there just wasn't much of a payoff. It feels kind of minor in the grand scheme of things
Nagger
Basketball-American
>Pizza has to explain the plot in Instagram comments
Cringe
Okay, well, what didn't you like about it?
?
It was playing against assumptions from season one that it was a big giant conspiracy. No one ever said to think it was one.
Did we even watch the same thing? It was pretty neutral when it came to these issues. Dorff was actually the somber one in the case.
Also pretty good opening. Good symbolism. The first season one was better though.
All in all, good acting, good makeup, decent timeline work, mediocre story.
You guys just don't understand detective kino.
We're supposed to feel like the show has no plot and is going nowhere, this is meant to make us feel the same lack of direction and constant sense of being lost that Hays felt.
The cliffhangers are meant to build up to nothing, because it emulates the frustration of being a real detective: you get up all excited about a clue, but turns out it's just a false lead.
The scenes between Amelia and Hays are meant to be repetitive and annoying, because that's what being stuck in an unhappy marriage is like. They, too, want to "opt out" of fighting each other, but can't seem to stop. It's a cycle.
The show is meant to feel poorly written, because it reflects the improvised nature of most real crimes and their cover-ups, it doesn't all make sense and it's not all planned beforehand.
The several leads and subplots that are simply forgotten about are there for a reason: to make us see the world through Hays' eyes, where he feels like he left everything behind, untouched, unable to investigate it.
It feels "dull" and "boring" because it's trying to show us how obsessed Hays and Amelia have to be to carry through with this investigation for decades.
The solution for the crime is meant to be predictable, because it's teaching us about intuition.
It's all meant to be disappointing and make you feel let down, because that's what life is about.
Pizza is trying to be a fraud, because that's how the protagonists felt when they realized they've failed Julie.
It's a bad show on purpose, because it shows how bad having a purpose can be.
Plebs GTFO of Yea Forums
>mfw people were making guesses about who was the bad guy and Pizza was replying
