For my taste? No. It's more like a regular action-fantasy flick. Like GoT S6 or S7. Watchable if you're into kind of thing and it there's some surprises but certainly not groundbreaking or deep.

Really, really hard to say. Geralt is kind of a natural SJW because his life would be a lot more simple if everyone would just get along, but meanwhile all kingdoms and factions have blood in their hands and there is no real good or evil ones. You're wrong. It won't be the "next GoT" as Netflix is hoping. First, their format of releasing everything at once doesn't generate hype; anything they release like this won't generate much buzz no matter how good. Second, the cast is mediocre; GoT had fucking Sean Bean as main character for the first season. Third, it's Netflix, the production budget is boud to be garbage; say what you want about the last seasons, but Got s01 had a great production. Fourth, Witcher is an adventure, focused on Geralt for the majority of it, there's is no grand intrigue or smart politics going on for brainlets to feel smart; Geralt has a task and he goes to do it, no subterfuge, no major twists. And last, the Witcher is not well written; the short stories are alright, they work as short stories, but the actual series is mind-blowing boring, Geralt goes looking for Ciri for about four books, building up his D&D party, but for the love of God I can't really remember what he does in that adventure.
