What is it called when a character (or even the narrator) in a novel, TV show, movie, etc acknowledges flaws in the writing? Like a character saying that something makes no sense or a plan is full of holes, etc. I'm sure I've read something about it having some sort of proper name, like a way for the author to deflect criticism by saying "yeah I know there's a plothole, or that this is bad writing, look how the script acknowledges it"

I don't believe such a term exists. This requires some nomenclature.

What is it called when the picture stops whilst the audio continues? Always loved that effect

I was thinking more when the action stops whilst the audio from the actual scene continues. Not a narrator moment

She looks sexy doing it, the rest don't.

1) Think an example of a popular movie doing that 2) Look for that movie in tvtropes 3) Search for that trope

more generally breaking the fourth wall but I bet tvtropes has a completely cringeworthy name for this specifically that only they ever use

I think that's just because she's attractive, user. Partially due to the fact it's a well edited picture. She still looks dumb as shit biting a wire.
