That makes sense. I always kinda felt that Jade could end up on the abusive side with how intense her behavior could get. I absolutely adore Liz Gillies as an actress but Jade was just cruel at times, and it wasn't even played for laughs, it was just straight up bullying. Like in the first episode of the series when she poured coffee all over Tori and made her walk on the ground like a dog just because she was talking to her boyfriend. That wasn't even funny, just ruthless. Which is why I made this thread asking what's her problem, because it's never really explained in the show why she acts like that.
And yeah, I suspect Victoria and Jogia had a relationship or were at least fuck buddies in real life and I chalk that up to why they had such great chemistry/sexual tension on screen. Because as you said no one else in the show exuded that passionate energy.

this was 100% clearly what was the intention, but literally the entire online fanbase preferred literally every potential couple but that one (it was full of lesbians and people who wanted Jade & indian guy to stick together).
I also think the writers were shocked at how popular Jade herself ended up being, they obviously expected the people to hate her and cheer her getting her comeuppance, but tori was a bit of a cunt and Jade was clearly a superior singer & actress. Similar shit happend on iCarly when the writers clearly wrote Sam as a cunt, but because they did the sob story "bad mom" storylines and misreading their audience, they ended up with 95% of their vocal fans wanting Sam to win everything.
