Uhh did that "V" animate?

Shame it got cancelled, I wish I was Anna's little mammal sex slave.

worst board

I remember liking that show... does it still hold up today?

the original mini-series and the final battle are kino, the tv show made right after is total shit.
the 00s remakes are beyond total shit.

OP here. It does, at least in my opinion. CG is a little tacky, but the writing is still pretty solid.

what did the V stands for?

your virginity

why live

Viagra

That show really pushed the limits of lesbian undertones.

I loved the 80's one with the jail baby scene and the sand critters (Freddy Krueger homage? Considering Robert Englund was in V, maybe). Watched the remake and had forgotten it within a week. Too devoid of thrills

What the fuck is up with that dude's hair

I liked watching it when it was airing... when I was 12. Looking back, I'm pretty sure the reason it was shit was because it just focused on badly-written drama instead of either a) writing the drama well or b) actually going in on the sci-fi, which V seemed afraid to do.

I liked it. Shame it was cancelled.

It's the 'designer turd' hairstyle

100% SPOILERS 100% AMAZING

Pretty amazing that it got cancelled twice with unresolved cliffhangers both times. It's fucking cursed.

>yfw that is predictive programming, a warning

Good work user

The 1980s were the height of society.

ALSO THE BEST THEME OF ANY TV SERIES EVER.

They don't make em like they used to.

I prefer the book

The initial V mini-series is one of the finest television programmes of all time- thrilling, scary, poignant, forever relevant, and fantastically written. Absolute 101% kino.

The Final Battle is awesome, but has some really goofy, sloppy shit in it, especially the Starchild stuff.

The weekly show is lowest common denominator US TV pap- The A-Team meets Dallas with laser guns. Fun show, but nonsense.

The remake had potential and lots of good ideas, but like most modern US drama shows, it basically felt like they were making it up as they went along and was ultimately forgettable.

nailed it

Daniel killing his elderly neighbor blew my mind as a child.

V The Final Battle theme was fucking kino

Watched it for Inara. Really liked the ending, cancellation ironically made it better.

He's one of the best villains ever. He has absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever. He's just a massive, massive fucking cunt.

BUMP FOR UBER KINO

I cheered when they took him away to eat him.

The aliens were called the Visitors.

VIC-TORY!

Remember he was responsible for the death of Ruby AND his grandfather

He was a neighbourhood tyrant

I wish it didn't get cancelled, it was fantastic. I loved the low budget style of the special effects. Also thought it was pretty cool that they had a priest as one of the heroes, that was pretty unusual.

I hated how the Resistance was three people with a ADHD camera spinning round them in their secret meetings

Still, I enjoyed it while it lasted and wish it could have gone further

Remake a shit.

I'm old enough that I watched the original on network tv

My parents wouldn't let me watch it because it was too scary, which naturally made it the most exciting thing in the world.

When I finally did get to watch it, it didn't disappoint.
