Which Hobbit flick is this?
Horrendous piss grading aswell
It's not clear where it's turning honestly. It got it's ear yanked so it could be going in a circle
It's hilarious how people shit on GOT and their shit battles when LOTR had way more stupid battle decisions
the only response you will get is literally old good
i don't see what that has got to do with anything?
HAHHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA
LOOK AT THUIS FYUCJING NIGGER AND LAUGHHHHHHHHHHHHH HAHAHAHAHA
rotk is an awful film and it's hilarious that it won so many awards
This shit is so restrained and conservative compared to the CGI shlock that is standard in every action film now, its quite hilarious
I don't understand how adults sit in a theater for 2+ hours and enjoy CGI bullshit, it makes a lot of people really excited tho, maybe I'm the dipshit
Such as?
>restrained and conservative
lmao just put some spandex on these characters and it's the same as capeshit

I mean I would say in the case of LotR, there's enough cool non-CG fantasy stuff, legitimately well directed dramatic moments and fun characters to make up for it.
Yes the Fellowship is the only truly great film, here's based Viggo Mortensen explaining it all
>All three LOTR films were nominated for best picture at the Academy Awards, with the final installment, The Return of the King, taking that top prize, as well as a best director statue for Jackson. But Mortensen has a decidedly different take on the quality of the films. He believes The Fellowship of the Ring is the best movie in the franchise, in part because Jackson relied less on special effects for that outing.
>“Peter was always a geek in terms of technology but, once he had the means to do it, and the evolution of the technology really took off, he never looked back,” Mortensen says. “In the first movie, yes, there’s Rivendell, and Mordor, but there’s sort of an organic quality to it, actors acting with each other, and real landscapes; it’s grittier.”
>Mortensen says the “ballooning” of Jackson’s reliance on CGI began with the second film, The Two Towers, and has increased with each subsequent project. “It was grandiose, and all that, but whatever was subtle, in the first movie, gradually got lost in the second and third. Now with The Hobbit, one and two, it’s like that to the power of 10,” Mortensen says.
>Mortensen has deliberately chosen more character-driven fare since LOTR launched him into global superstardom, and had hopes that Jackson might return to his small-film roots as well.
>“I was sure he would do another intimately scaled film like Heavenly Creatures, maybe with this project about New Zealanders in the First World War he wanted to make,” Mortensen says. “But then he did King Kong. And then he did The Lovely Bones - and I thought that would be his smaller movie. But the problem is, he did it on a $90million budget. That should have been a $15million movie. The special effects thing, the genie, was out of the bottle, and it has him.”

I think LotR was good by chance, because peter jackson relies so much on cgi, i dont think he's good at his job. The hobbit and the king kong one were a shit show.
Fellowship will always be the best LotR. It's exactly how he said it, grittier, more realistic.
The special effects have not aged well.
this. and dwarves are natural sprinters.
debateable. the cave troll in fellowship still looks better than most stuff today
The difference is you can actually tell whats happening. If this was released in 2019 it would be filmed with shaky cam and the elephents would be running around jumping/doing backflips like they weighted nothing.
the chosen one has spaketh
checked
I actually think most of it still looks better than the glossy video game trailer tier cgi of most movies today.
they started in 1999 but you can't even tell besides little things like this

Fuck yourself faggot
It doesnt at all but nice digs

Music plays a big role, that's for sure. Modern scores for blockbuster flicks are garbage

The difference is this is the final fight scene of the entire series, not the final fight scene of each movie.
You all liked this and it pawed way to Endgame. You dug your own grave, now lie in it.
seething gotfags lmao
Your mom unironically likes you.
>Modern scores
It always blow my mind when I watch an anime and hear real instruments and melodies, not just low droning and the same generic "feel happy" music.

Animators are just more sensitive to and appreciative of the effects of music than live-action directors. It's been a problem in Hollywood since the '90s at least. I also get the sense that the suits who make the biggest decisions about the music don't listen to any music at all besides whatever played in a big movie trailer last week.
What did they mean by this?
