Such is the unpredictable nature of humanity my boy.

Yes. Brie Larson plays despondent and traumatized well, which was perfect for somebody who got kidnapped and held prisoner for years.

This.
It's actually pretty sad what happened.
Politics were a mistake.

Yes

MCU will destroy her career as a serious actor, like it did for RDJ

>Jlaw
Actually the exact same thing happened with her.
Yea Forums would blow their loads over her pics and suddenly changed heart when she said some dumb stuff.

It's a shame that no one now will know that even if she wasn't the best, Brie could definitely do method acting.
Everyone will just think of her as that one brick wall cunt superhero. Signing for capeshit is a mistake.

Said absolutely no one ever. Every thread was shitting on her being cast and calling her a potatoface

I was referring to the period before Captain Marvel.
When Short Term 12 and Room were coming out.

Capeshit is always a mistake in terms of career choice, if you want to be taken more seriously in the industry.
Despite that, a lot of these actors bring joy to kids which is ultimately a decent trade off.
I've always thought Johnny Depp is a shit actor, but I respect the things he's done for the Make a Wish Foundation, and similar entities.
It's easy to discard children when you're a cynical adult but think of a time when you were a kid and the kind of things that helped shape you or misshape you into what you are. Even a little bit of a positive push can be beneficial to your character down the line.

Room and Short Term 12 were truly kino. I hope Brie gets into movies like those again.

It is a good movie, but not kino. Short Term 12 is though.

I cried, twice. I hate Brie Larson, but she deserved the oscar.

Don't hate. Understand that she became a SJW to feel like she belongs somewhere under the false understanding that she can help people.
A lot of these actors did the same thing, because they are told to do so, and there's a pressure to not be like everyone else.

Brie sure knows how to talk to kids. Is it because of her kid co-star in this film?

I think the reason why she is so idealistic is because she was homeschooled and generally doesn't really talk to much people outside her work because of social anxiety.

This looks like potential kino cause Kaufman.

Yeah, I also think Short Term 12 and Room went to her head a little bit, and she now has this pressure to "help" other women because of it, but it comes across as forced and/or preachy to a lot of people.

she was in a failed oscarbait movie recently

Oh, I just saw she was replaced. Never mind then.

>replaced
Fuck. RIP, that sounded like real potential kino.

It's because she babysits.

My Irishfu replaced her

Literally who, but I'll be watching cause it sounds like a sleeper hit.
Toni Collette's a pretty decent actress too.

She better pull it off well. The book synopsis sounds very interesting to be in a film.

Maybe itll be bad for Brie but acting like the MCU wasn't a huge boon for RDJ is ridiculous. He made an absolute killing off the MCU, enough to set him and his future kids for life. Before the MCU, he had nothing and could have very well relapsed.

Room totally broke her, I think. She put herself in Ma's shoes for 6 months, locked herself in a room with barely sunlight in it, changed her diet and so on. She said she had to get therapy after the film because she was just in pieces after her method acting for the role was over.

You could shoot a Birdman-tier kino out of this whole situation.

Can the mouse save Carol Danvers as a character or will Brie get forced to act as a feminist doormat for the next ten years?
