It's for the best that it goes untouched. 40k is more fleshed-out, flexible and fit for relatively contained stories (since you can fuck up entire planets in 40k without touching most of the lore and it's no big deal vs fantasy being contained to a portion of not-earth).
Not enough tits in either fantasy or 40k, btw.

40k is a more interesting premise. Warhammer fantasy is basically just a regular Tolkien-like setting, while 40k is unique among all science fiction settings except maybe Dune

Except they forget about that and have 7 different clans working together to casually BTFO an entire faction, and only remember they need to preserve the status quo at the last second. Then the utterly invincible Skaven hordes will spontaneously combust into backstabbings and the whole thing instantly dissolves to fucking nothing.
