So why now? And why so many of them? I think getting people excited for 2 is going to be challenge enough but I can see it happening. But for 3 films after that, one each year? I'd have to be one hell of a movie.
The first one was cool. But 3D is pretty much irrelevant and unless he does 60FPS or some shit like that I doubt it'll have the same impact.

I'd be really impressed if they somehow make Avatar relevant again.
Looking back at it, I don't really think it holds up well, and I don't mean the CGI, but the story and characters themselves. In fact had the original been released today, I bet people would have seen the bad guy as a massive badass and the main cast as losers, especially with capeshit ruling everything.
