its my favorite book series, a lot of people hate it because its long winded, which it can be, but i think the pros way outshine the cons. they also spout sjw nonsense about it, but my read through i always thought that the author absolutely hated women, because 99% of female characters are stupid cunts, annoying cunts, or just downright ridiculous.

I just finished book 8, and it’s been fantastic. Book 8 definitely started to slow down and so far book 9 is okay, focusing on some of the shittier characters.
I love it though, been a wild ride, like I said I just started book 9 and I began readin em November so I’m very into it.

It can be lengthy and drawn out at times, like other anons said. The first book is a bit derivative but after that it gets pretty good. Has great worldbuilding and lots of character POV if you're into that sort of thing. Very neat magic system.
