You have to understand Daniel's character. He never, EVER, wants anything to do with the people who tormented him during his younger years, and so he found peace though hard work and honesty, those were his guiding principles and what saved his life, quite literally. From season one we already know he's very insecure about Sam throwing parties and drinking, to the point even other characters acknowledge it - and this being one of the only things that can make him lose his cool for real, Johnny's "you gotta calm down, kids do this all the time" attitude only made him go berserk, as the Miyagi-dos are known for doing from time to time.

Of course not dude, but this show is about how these men are struggling against their past, about the damage that was done to them through their coping mechanisms and the philosophies they decided to adopt during tough times. All Cobra Kais still shiver at Kreese's mention, Dutch ended up in prison, Johnny not only failed to become an "ex-degenerate", he became an "Ace Degenerate". Daniel might seem like he has it together, but living a life of inner peace and humility, knowing you're missing out on wild parties and wondering what is it like to hook up with hot chicks and all that, that's difficult for a young man, and I think Daniel's reactions just show that his coping mechanisms were to vilify that sort of behavior to an obsessive degree, and that makes his character have a lot more depth than just "he's a perfect man who has it all together in all aspects of his life just because he won a couple tournaments".
