So James Marsden's career is pretty much over, right? Any hope he has left of making it as a major star is going to die with this disaster of a Sonic movie, and before this he was starring in fucking Taco Bell commercials. I think we can go ahead and proclaim him dead.

>make millions of dollars staring in shit like hop, xmen, sonic, westworld and various commercials
>in fact, have been in some show or film every single year of your 20+ year career
>some sperg thinks your career is over because he is a tourist from Yea Forums who doesn't actually like film or television

What exactly makes this sonic movie so much more terrible than the other shit being churned out? Didn't see any difference between the trailer for this and the pokemon movie.

I thought his career was already dead lol

he's only 5'10. he never stood a chance in modern hollywood as a successful "handsome leading man" typecast.

BLUE. ARMS.

It's pretty obvious.

The chatacter design is too uncanny valley

Pokemon is popular among children even today and the universe is much bigger. Teens, kids, "adults" will all see it.

Sonic just runs fast and is by now pretty much a literal who

sonic has had more shows on more major networks over the last several years and is probably more relevant among children today than pocket monsters. millennial manchildren are the main consumers of pocket monsters today.

he is a good looking guy and could be a fucking huge star.

his gimmick could be "give all the movies that tom cruise doesnt want to star" and thats it.

Yea Forums will be wrong again like when everyone thought captain marvel was gonna bomb hard

except non-autistic children don't care for sonic

>sonic has had more shows
the one pokemon show must have like 10 times as many episodes as all sonic shows put together lmao

it's like 315 sonic vs 1070 pokemon. the main difference is that the entire pokemon run over the past two decades has been on the same networks where the sonic show has been spread around and gotten more exposure as a show (but obviously not as a franchise/brand name in general)

Since his character died in Westworld yeah it's over

He's always been someone; that should have had a bigger career but somehow was just a supporting lead at best.

he's basically chris pine except not a jew, so of course the roles go to pine instead.

he's a permanent c-lister. don't begrudge a man for making a living

shame I really liked him in westworld playing teddy

Being too handsome can be a hindrance if you can't play a believable everyman

It's a re-hash.

you must be a vietnam vet to think that Sonic is more relevant than pokemon

where do you even watch pokemon as a kid if your millennial parents don't foist it upon you? sonic was on fucking cartoon network, nick jr., the main disney channels, as a youtube web series, etc. kids can't escape it.
