Yeah, but in MCU the stones themselves are activated manually by holding them or closing the fist with the infinity gauntlet.
She literally did what others did in IW - prevented him from closing fist. After he took power stone out form the gauntlet to activate it in other hand, he one shot her out of the battle (literally, she doesn't show up until the very end of the movie)

I was sad she didn't do more. She just blew up ANOTHER ship really fast. She could have fucked him up, but they had to make her job because her movie is still relatively new. Her haircut was 10/10 adorable. I wanted to see her fuck more shit up honestly, not just be a cardboard cut out that blows up another ship and then fucks off.
