Jon didn't have a large part in this because he is not a Stark, nor a Snow but Aegon and a Targaryen...

Jon didn't have a large part in this because he is not a Stark, nor a Snow but Aegon and a Targaryen. He's place is not at Winterfell. This isn't his battle.
The White Walker menace isn't done yet. Remember the vision Daenerys had seasons back in the show of a destroyed Iron Throne covered in snow and a dragon flying above a very blue and wintered King's Landing.
Cercei has Qyburn. Qubyrn resurrected The Mountain as a zombie/undead. She might also have the knowledge on how to create more White Walkers like the Children of the Forrest did to fight those who oppose her, she will lose control and history will repeat itself.
Winterfell is not the large battle. It's a minor one. Not many people died in this episode because it was purely fan service. They wanted to show all the major characters battle one more time before they all get slaughtered at the last couple of episodes in a shocking way 'cuz Valar Morghulis.
One of the things this show has is shocking deaths that are either well done or cheap. I don't think they're giving up on them. D&D may be a bunch of morons but I still don't believe they'd really fuck their last couple of episodes. Plus I think Martin would've helped them a little.

Or I may be in denial and full of shit lol but I still have hope bros.

hope is the first step on the road towards disappointment

lel you really think they planned that far ahead?
Do you really think they added foreshadowing?

The only seasons that had foreshadowing were 1/2 and then a soon as d&d got full reigns on the series they threw it out of the window. Daenerys' vision has absolutely no meaning. It does not foreshadow anything. Its supposed to just be a visual to show the looming threat of 'le spooky winter is coming'. I cannot believe they built up the White walkers to be such a huge threat and killed them off in 1 episode lmao. Pathetic.

This, anyone expecting some le ebin throwback to Danys tower vision in season 1 hasnt been paying attention to the last 5 seasons of shit

Kinda depressing how this season has gone.

I mean...think about it. King's Landing is like the capital of Westeros. Why would the great battle be set on Winterfell? Something doesn't feel right. This isn't the end.

I can only think this was for budget reasons. Turning kings landing into winter with the city covered in snow would have cost way too much.

>This isn't the end.
What gave it away? The fact there are 3 eps left?
1 ep will be dedicated to aftermath of the battle and NK backstory explained by Bran
1 ep for dealing with Cersei and the Gold fags
1 ep for tying everything up and giving everyone an ending. Also Jon kills Dany but that might happen in the penultimate episode

okay user im going to tell you what happens in the last couple of eps.

>Cerci sees that the north is weakened, attacks,

>is fended off.

>north goes on final desperate assault.

>invade kings landing

>cleganebowl happens, probably both die out in the fight, there may even be some kind of reversal where the hound burns the mountain

>all of the lesser characters die (ie not jon, dany, the starks and the lannisters

>jamie kills cerci

>dany/jon win, some main characters die in the process, maybe jamie after killing

>Jon probably dies fighting (perhaps betrayed by dany), dany takes iron throne, arya and sansa go back to winterfell, tyrion becomes queens hand.

There you go. Cliche and predictable but thats how D&D likes to write things.

It's always been about the Starks

>NK backstory explained by Bran
ashahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahaha

you really still have hope that's going to happen?

It would be absolute shit in terms of writing and story progression. So yeah it might.

I see you're in the second stage of denial

The denial and coping for this fuckfest is hilarious.
>th-there's no way dabid forgot about this right guys

No they originally were following book lore, realized they didn't have the budget/did not care, and decided on their bullshit

In the previous episode...
Jaimie: What about afterwards?
Bran: How do you know there IS an afterwards?

youtube.com/watch?v=cAUSiNb0Pm4

>cersi di3s
>Jon escorts Dany to the throne
>she sits down but hers a mettalic sound
>huge spike trap cersi setup in the throne gores dany

Oof

They didn't plan ahead, but an intern might have been rewatching the series and brought this scene up to them so they hastily wrote some shit that kind of ties into it and that normies are going to praise to high heaven because "HOLY SHIT THEY WERE PLANNING THIS ALL ALONG SO EPIC". Mark my words

>The White Walker menace isn't done yet
I'm so sorry, user. I know you're just trying to cope, but you have to stop living in denial.

>implying the showrunners even remember what happened in seasons 1-6

LOL

What Should have happened:
>Aria should not have killed the NK. Aria should have finished killing her list if they must insist that she somehow is a faceless assassin. (even though her training consisted of dancing a few weeks with her dance admitted dance instructor from Dabos in "fencing" the only sword training she ever had, for needle, and then she trained a few months with the faceless man, doing chores such as cleaning, cleaning the dead and selling seashells by the sea shore. She ignored all training and was expelled and never completed any training at all for the assassin. They made her into the meme.
>They shouldn't shit up their show with the grrl power propaganda.
>John Snow should have done something last episode. Anything. But they had him do absolutely nothing.
>For some reason the 8 year old girl needed to kill an undead giant before he killed her. Grrl power. Retarded.
>The NK should have had an episode dedicated to his story, his motivations and an explanation of who he was. (Hint at targarian, ancestor because the Dragon Fire immunity)
>If they wanted a twist, have the NK actually a good guy. What did he do that was bad all throughout the seasons? Made an army.
>Have him march south because bran awoke something under the tree and became posessed by it. Bran actually is the bad guy, the spirit was imprisoned by the NK in the tree. The NK charge was to ensure the spirit stayed imprisoned.
>Have bran Kill NK by warging into someone and fucking him up.
>Make them all have to team up to kill Bran in last episode.

Attached: GOT nothing personnel.gif (700x1000, 259K)

even if it is a fake-out a better fake-out would still be Jon, or hell Theon especially with the Drowndgod's creed of "what is dead never died but rises stronger". have him throw a dragonglass dagger as his swan song after being speared

>NK backstory
they've already done this, children of the forest made him to stop men invading Westeros, he turned on them and the CotF teamed up with men to drive them north and then build the wall. we dont need Bran to tell everyone this because the audience already knows this

>nor a Snow
can anybody explain WHY dying releases him from his vows? He's clearly alive enough to fulfill them.

(((lawyer))) loophole, not even in the medieval period would that shit stick but its written by d&d

until my dying day etc. etc. and I mean if a bunch of fags are gonna betray you and their vows and you come back to life then fuck em i'm outta there too. He volunteered anyway. Try and fuckin stop him.

No one knows shit, thats not a backstory. You cant just build up some fucking final boss from the very first ep and have him be a 2 dimensional "he was created to kill lol" and be done with it

s-sure bud, i--i-t will all be revealed s-soon

you did not, i repeat, did not waste your time watching something with no payoff for 8 seasons

that is a backstory, the bloke can't talk, he's literally there to be the embodiment of death & winter. we got how he was made and why, thats enough for that kind of threat.

>I don’t think Dan and Dave’s ending is going to be that different from my ending because of the conversations we did have
collider.com/game-of-thrones-ending-show-book-differences/

I still have hope because of this. Martin wouldn't disappoint as much as D&D's idiocy.

>jon snow
snow, like ice
>aegon targaryan
targaryans have dragons and dragons spew fire
ice + fire
bravo dabid

Actually I made a shitpost before reading this but I'm with you here. Hope this is how it works out

bravo georgie

So he is some 2d killing machine and cant speak yet somehow made a deal with Craster? Why didnt he just kill Craster since that is what he was designed for?

Craster was giving him babies, he was turning them into more WW. do you really think those two sat down with each other and had a chat. he's been around for thousands of years, more WWs gives him more range/control for his dead army. this isn't a major plot point, it was settled when we saw him taking a baby and turning it

>thats enough for that kind of threat
Ye no

Of course its a plot point since it goes against his design of being a killing machine by actively sparing a human he was designed to kill. What the fuck do you think he just stumbled across Crasters son outside and left a note saying "thnx pls leave moar and ill leave u aline m8". I know it is because he uses the babies to creat Wight Walkers but there has to be s point between him going against his design and being a baby snatcher. Same reason of why is it only babies that can be turned into WWs why couldnt he turn anyone into them like the umber shota? Bran offered a half arsed explanation about him wanting to remove humans from memory so thats why he is lusting after Bran but there was an obvious connection since he entered Brans vision of the past and stuck a tracking device on him, but how did he enter his vision? How did he know Bran was warging into a bunch of inconspicuous birds?

He's right though, that IS enough for the threat he was supposed to be. The White Walkers and the Night King were supposed to be a personified version of the cold, cruel harshness of nature - specifically winter.
Just because the current writers completely fucked it up doesn't mean it's the backstory's fault. They screwed it up by turning him into some generic weenie commander who overlooked his extremely massive weakness.

do you really need him to monologue about his feelings.

Mate I know exactly how you feel, it is suffering. And I am not even a bookfag, just a heavily invested showatcher, was rooting for bran=NK theory..
What I want to say is that I've come to peace when I realised this show is no longer for us but for our mothers and aunts, it pains me to say that but its true

You really think they would be able to establish all that and wrap it up in three episodes, without it seeming rushed?

Why march now then? Why didnt he skip Winterfell when he knew it was going to be so well guarded? Going for Bran? Ok, so he isnt death machine that has a primary task only to kill. What was his original plan of passing the wall if he didnt know dany will come with the dragons?

Are you satisfied with how things turned out?

Babies are babies maybe adults are too old/too. he was trapped behind the wall of thousands of years, taking Crastor's kids gives him more resources than just killing them.
>but how did he enter his vision?
he's also part of the tree network, just like the children, he just doesn't have the power over it that the 3 eyed raven does, by turning bran he get that power.
>a bunch of inconspicuous birds?
no. no normal bird would fly at a dragon during a blizzard, NK knows the 3ER can warg.

>Are you satisfied with how things turned out?
not with his death in ep3, if he was chasing them down to KL or deeper south and WF was just a battle and the end was in the finally then yes, sure... assuming again he isn't killed by teleporting Arya

>Cliche and predictable but thats how D&D likes to write things.
>LITERALLY had Arya kill the Night King despite everyones expectations

idiot

And without explanation this is just your head cannon, do you not see the problem? And i wasnt talking about Bran spying on the him in the last ep, im talking about a few seasons ago when he just looks at the crow and Bran immediately knows he is staring into his soul

Most characters are going to have Disney endings. The deaths shit is a meme at this point

What you are describing is the first step, may seven blessings user

>Going for Bran?
yes to kill the tree memory network, so nothing survives even if every human is killed.
> Ok, so he isnt death machine that has a primary task only to kill.
he is but he isn't mindless

Cersei stabs herself with Dragonglass and she becomes the Night Queen.

>hugely teased and foreshadowed azor ahai prophecy is false
>Melly saying she will die and meet arya again are true

Attached: 1556559146236.jpg (413x419, 80K)

they are both part of the tree network, NK also knew exactly where to find Bran when he was diving into the memories. this has all been explained

No it hasnt been explained that hes paet of the tree network. Stop trying to establish your own backstory after you said he doesnt need one. Bran realised the Children created him, nothing more nothing less, nothing suggested he was part of a fucking weirwood

I can't believe they used the white walkers in the end of every season as cliffhanger and they end up killing them off in 1 fucking episode

>NK was made by the CotF
>CotF made/are a part of the tree network
>NK marks Bran when he is in the network looking through memories
>NoThInG SuGgEsTed He WaS PaRt Of A FuCkInG WeIrWoOd
i said he doesn't need more a a backstory

They can, they did, and it will. Get over it user.

Why do all of this when they can just get Arya teleporting behind Cercei?

They even forgot who Daario Naharis was

Again establishing your own head canon backstory because you saw a piece of dragon glass getting pushed into his heart you think not only has he suddenly become a greenseer he is also now part of the weirwood?
The children created him, do you think if you create a fucking cheese toasty then it means it can suddenly sit on your sofa and watch tv?
Fuck out of here you retard. The fact you defend shitty writing is truly a testament to itself.
Dont @ me i cant be arsed arguing with a literal woman

>he is also now part of the weirwood?
thats how he marked Bran, from within the network, which is why the wards failed and the dead could get into the cave. rewatch hold the door.
>The children created him
and then at some point the Children joined up with men to fight against them. you're forgetting the 1st men worshiped the trees as Old Gods, probably because the pact they made included getting saved into the network. your forgetting the children were with the 3 eyed raven in the cave even though they are the ones who made NK

again its all there, you just can't remember it or you're a dullard.

>I don’t think
This makes it seem like GRRM doesn't know how the show is going to end. The show has hardly even resembled the books since season 5 or so. I really doubt the endings will be that similar.

You really imagine anything happening off screen can you?? Theres YEARS going by and you think you saw all her training on screen?

And also having the tried tf out " he wasnt evil we jist dont know why hes murdering everybody!" Trope would be lame, we got 3 more episodes the time for his backstory was last season

But somehow we saw her cleaning the floor in dozens of episodes

Snow on the throne = Jon Snow on the throne

he is a stark you dingus, through his mother. and before you say the woman doesnt count, its mentioned that most of the stark children take more after catelyn in appearance.

So the other stuff didnt happen for sure because you saw her cleaning? Like your 100% that on this show about magic tree people and dragons that a child (whose passion since childhood has been fighting) couldnt learn to stab in the background. You saw her learning about how to be faceless which is a big part of being a sneaky assassin but the fact that you didnt see anyone going "AND THATS HOW YOU KILL PEOPLE" means it didnt happen??

I'm thinking what she saw in her visions is what we would happen if she did not follow her destiny. What she sacrificed to have her throne. She needed the blood magic so that the lives of her husband, child and his stallion could be used to have her dragons. She needed to fight the others to save Westeros so that there was an kingdoms to rule over.

Also im starting to see yours as a complaint about arya not having enough screen time rather than not giving her enough good writing. Everyone else seems to be able to suspend their disbelief about Arya except you.

>You really imagine anything happening off screen can you?? Theres YEARS going by and you think you saw all her training on screen?
Kind of like how everything about Sansa being smart happened off screen too? Because Sansa is the smartest person Aria ever met. Even though Sansa was shown in the first season refusing to pay attention to her teacher because she wanted to daydream about marrying Prince Joffrey. Sansa is smart though, because she was able to survive at Kings Landing with the Lannisters, only because of their good graces and them allowing her to live. She is smart though, because she told Tyrion, who was established as the smartest man in the known world (he had to be because his other weaknesses were women, drink and he was an ugly dwarf, so like he said in the first season, used the only thing he had- his brain- and read every book to get smart. But Sansa is smart because she told Tyrion in the first episode this season that she thought Tyrion was supposed to be smart. Then after Aria told her she was the smartest person Aria ever met, Sansa asked John why they needed Dany, with her 2 dragons.

Nah, There needed to be at least some type of training other than the Mr Miagi, from the Karate Kid bullshit that Aria didn't even wait around and find out what wiping dead mens assholes and sweeping the floors and mopping had to do with training to be a faceless man assassin.

Hahaha no

Next episode: chat about whether they go South

Penultimate episode: battle at KL

Last episode: wrap up

There's no time for your nonsense theory. This is the bargaining stage.

His mother is a Stark and he was raised in Winterfell as a Starks bastard, pretty much just like Theon.

>north goes on final desperate assault.
>invade kings landing
But how? They have like a dozen men left by the looks of it. The Unsullied, Valemen and Dothraki are all dead. The Northern army got BTFO'd in the war of the five kings, BTFO'd again at the battle of the bastards and then half got covered by the long night while the entire Stark force got massacred. If they can scrounge up any more then a couple hundred retainers then it'll be complete horseshit.

> Spends the entire show leading up to this
> This isn't his battle.
lmao. like yeah man...just turn your brain off LMAO. Enjoy. have sex.
