As far as I can tell it had no real impact on his character, and has been largely ignored, so who the fuck knows.

Everyone has to play their part. That flaming sword guy was brought back 10 times all so he could be a stepstool for Arya. Jon is the same, ultimately unimportant.

He was planned to defeat night king and claim the throne, but then current times happened and future is female

fan service

>I need Jon to become King in the North and defeat the ebil Boltons
>but i can't have him just desert the Night's Watch, because that way he stops being le epic honourable hero xd
>wat do?
>...
>technically, you are sworn into the Night's Watch for life
>which means your memebership ends after you died
>which mean,s if you die but then return to life then it's all a-okay and he is still honourable and cool and a good guy
>yeah, this is great, completely subverting expectations, just like Macbeth, I am just like the Shakespeare
>George, you are of genius

red herring :^)

to fuck his aunt

because my sister would have stopped watching the show if they didn't

He needed to be alive to motivate Arya to go to winterfell instead of KL

To help Daenerys win the throne :)

So S5 could have a cliffhanger ending

To kill Bran when he becomes the new NK of course.

To be fair George had no real control over what D&D did and one of them was responsible for pic related.

Put a baby in his aunt

To get silver hair pussy leftovers and breed a DAUGHTER bc having male kids is misogyny

What a manlet

You think this isn't happening in the books as well
>inb4 he didn't wrote the books
He did, just waiting until the show ends to surprise everybody

Wait they were responsible for this shitshow?

He's the only one able to bring Dany to the North.

Why would the Lord of Light care about that?

>That flaming sword guy

His name is Based Beric and you will address him as such you filthy normie

Attached: beric-thrones.jpg.480x0_q71_crop-scale.jpg (480x323, 16K)

That's why this show is doomed.

They started off with no magic. Nothing but a red comet in the sky. Then magic slowly started reappearing and will climax with something that won't live up to 8 years of hype.

Even if he did that doesn’t mean he’s gonna write what’s in the show. If I was writing these books and watching what these dudes are doing I’d distance myself just enough where’s people don’t expect the same thing, but also ride off the wave of publicity to get my books noticed even more than they would normally.

Based Ser Beric*

YO HOLD THE FUCK UP NOW:
If "muh memories of victory over the dead by our ancestors" were not enough to kill NK or his armies ages ago, why was killing Bran along with those memories essential to him?
And if Sam found the same knowledge of killing WWs from the books of Citadel, meaning the memory was already recorded, what was the point of it all?

Attached: RREEEEEE.jpg (1280x540, 52K)

>protected the magical goblina so she could teleport behind the NK and kill the show
He died UNBASED.

Better question: Why isn't he dead yet?

>that flaming sword guy

This is the type of person Show adaptions are made for. Explicitly the later seasons

He isn't going to write stuff like Euron fucking Cersei, but stuff like Jon going back to life will happen in the books as well, don't be in denial

Is he naked?

>He was planned to defeat night king and claim the throne, but then current times happened and future is female
Lol

>That flaming sword guy was brought back 10 times all so he could be a stepstool for Arya

I think characters like Beric and Bran serve no real purpose but to progress the storyline of Jon.

Beric's sole purpose is to show Melisandre that it's possible to resurrect the dead through praying to the lord of light. Why is that important? Because Jon needs to die in order to be released from his oath to the nights watch. Melissandre can then resurrect him because she's already seen Beric come back. He serves no other purpose.

Brans sole purpose is to be able to see into the past to confirm Jon's parentage. That's it. The fact that they had Arya kill the night king completely abandons the central plot line of the story and it feels cheap.

they killed him to follow the books, but he's supposed to have warged into his wolf right before his death but that would be retarded to film

>he doesn't know each characters name and a brief history of their childhood

will he fuck dany as a wolf in the books?

Damn, that makes me remember that this show used to NOT completely cater to women on reddit and Twitter

god I hope

this

To act as sacrifice to the Drowned God, of course.

This. This is it. This is fucking it.
This is beyond DABID. It's not even human to write shit like this anymore. It's so icompetent and illogical, one might call it eldritch.
We could have had Azor Jaime, and it would have been kino. We could have had the easy and predictable Azor Jon and it still might have been kino.We could have had Azor Sandor and fuck me if it would'nt have been kino. Azor Bran, Azor Jorah, Azor Theon, Pod, Brienne, Tormund, Edd... I could have done with all of them.
But no. We have to appeal to the fans. The same casual fans who think Daeneys' name is Khaleesi, who don't know who Jon Arryn is, who can't write "Cersei" after 8 seasons.
So now the ancient, apocalypse-bringing, 8000 years old Night King, lord of the White Walkers, is instantly killed by a flat-faced goblin long-jumping 10 meters after zooming past a circle of zombies, a dozen white walkers and an undead dragon, and pulling a Rey drop-trick-stab.
Bravo indeed.

>B-But at least the boo-
"No!". GRRM is a piece of lard who will never EVER finish his books. The fat has clotted his brain to the point he doesn't remember how to write, let alone how to conclude his story, and will probably kill him the next time he goes for a light jog. He probably didn't even write a single page of Winds of Winter. I could write a 500 page critic of "The (8 hours) Long Night" faster than George "Rotund Retard" Martin can write a single sentence on a character's shit's consistency.
No, he will die alone in his fat-palace, knowing his life's work has been fucked into the ground. Because that's how it will be remembered. It will be remembered as the show, and everyone will assume that's what the Fatman had intended for his ending. 20 good men, finger in the bum, le balls and wine's cock XD... That is Gurrm's Legacy.
Fuck this shitshow, Fuck this gay earth, Fuck Daniel and David.
And most of all FUCK YOU GEORGE.

What was up with that random ass white wolf? And is a spear formation really that useful against hordes that throw themselves just at you?

He didn't.
Dance with Dragons was over 5 years late.
If you read his blog posts he treats A Song of Ice and Fire as a chore he's forced to go back to and it's been that way for a decade.

>he treats A Song of Ice and Fire as a chore he's forced to go back to and it's been that way for a decade.
This.
The series should have been a trilogy.

Benioff was the writer for that wolverine origins movie

Say whatever you want him, but that motherfucker still found a way to get shit done.

why didn't Snowy rip out the throats of the guys stabbing him?

jon attempting to convince cersei was a waste of time, had he stayed dead the NK would never have got a dragon and the could have faced the ww at the wall.

For nothing it seems as the prophecy was balls

It's an outstandingly mediocre series to begin with.

did he do xmen 3? the arya thing reminded me of Beast jumpin out of nowhere to stick magneto.
difference is beast's mutant powers are that he can jump stupid distances.

To bend the knee.

almost based, but ultimately tryhard

>bring back Jon
>have him go through some serious shit to become king of the north
>now he can go recruit dany
>she brings her dragons north
>one of them dies and is resurrected
>this resurrected dragon is what brings down the wall
>the wall fell because Jon was resurrected
What did R'hllor mean by this?

Maybe Bran becomes the real big bad and only Jon can stop him?

that would make no sense given that Bran is 'all of our history' or some shit.

its so dumb that dabid will probably do it.

It's be hilarious if he's pushed off of something tall again.

>that motherfucker still found a way to get shit done.
yeah, he found a way to turn the show into complete shit.

manlet jokes

To have xes

He's a Lord actually

>watching GoT
>calling others normie
Dumb smoothbrain

subversion

So he could go to the north to attempt to capture an undead to show to the queen to ask for help to fight a battle he would not have to fight ever since the NK would not have killed the dragon when Danarys went there to save his ass, dragon that he used to destroy the wall he wouldn't be able to unless jon snow went there to begin with.

To be made fun of his height

This explains a lot

He saw that only Azor Arya can kill his eternal advisary, the Night King, and only Jon would be stupid enough to do the nessecary shit to get him past the wall within arms reach of Arya.

So he did it just so he could dab on the NK?

He had to restart Dany's dead uterus.
Callin' it

It would be handled much better. In the books, there are consequences that come with resurrection. Characters who come back are completely different from their previously living selves, and Jon Snow won't be an exception. Not to mention, the potential external conflicts and story progressions that come from being the guy who came back to life that the book will certainly cover.

There is literally no point. It's a television show. Find love.

Ratings.

Attached: Episode 3.jpg (1876x276, 219K)

Same happens in the books dumbass.

So he could witness the end of the reign of white males as lesbian arya and her queen kalheesi rule over the seven kingdoms

It was purely to get him out of the night's watch.

Still 3 episodes left, so maybe they'll come up with something appropriately shit to explain why he was brought back.

To scream at a dragon

To kill the final boss, the Mad Queen Dany, and then die childless to end the Targaryen bloodline forever.

the fuck are you on about, the white walker plot is literally the first thing we are introduced to in s1e1

Kind of confirmed spoilers ahead
He came back to kill Danny, which is fucking stupid seeing as she may be somewhat of a hotheaded but she also shows great leadership skills and compassion for the common folk. She also ruled people before, Jon was just a military commander which does not make him a good ruler. He should've killed the NK, it's cliche but that was his fucking goal since season 1, not to kill Danny which will most likely very conveniently go mad just to justify Jon killing her. Why does Danny have to die by Jon's hand? Probably the same reason Arya killed the NK, because it le shocking xdd and subverts expectations just like Ned's death did, right guise?

Attached: 1459438212568.jpg (421x421, 62K)

to pay taxes

>she also shows great leadership skills and compassion for the common folk
>great leadership skills
literally when?
>compassion
remember episode 1 of season 8 first scene where she was entering winterfell and some peasants were scared by her dragons and she fucking smiles? remember killing the emisaries in Slaver's Bay? remember mass murdering the hell out of Slaver's Bay in general because of her own vision on how world is supposed to be? (which makes no sense as slavery and serfdom is the same shit with other name and is arguably, less centralized)

To become King And kill the mad Qween

Mary Sue

>why didn't Snowy rip out the throats of the guys stabbing him?
Ghost was locked away before the attack. Mel even warned Jon to keep Ghost close, but he ignored it and got shivved.
As for the original question of why he was brought back, he had to die to get out of his Night's Watch oath, so he could be king and have children.

>the bad washes out the good
not that user but fuck off pleb. Targeted killings for actual crimes is not mass murder, those emissaries were the same people that broke the truce Tyrion negotiated and their armies were in the process of attacking her city, and that was not a smile from enjoying people being scared but from seeing her dragons cause no one else cared about her.

And she showed great leadership by hearing everyone's petitions every day and compromising when it meant peace

Because fans wanted him to be brought back. There was no other point, and seeing what they chose to do with his character since his resurrection, I think he should have stayed dead as the last great character of the show to bite the dust before everything went to shit.

If you want to have a little laugh for yourself, go back and re-watch Season 6 and 7 and feel free to observe the massive impact that his resurrection had on the story and on his character development. Absolute jack shit. It was as if it never even happened at all.

Attached: image.png (500x359, 152K)

Face it guy - he's been cucked.

The guy is a bad actor and I check out whenever he talks

>literally when?
Doesn't kill the nobleman she wanted to execute without giving him a fair trial first just to prove she isn't like her father
She frees the unsullied and every slave she comes across and eventually brings peace to the slavers bay. She also rules the dothraki which means that they won't raid these cities anymore.
>She smiled at spooked peasants!!!!
She also defended their lives in the very next episode against a personification of death capable of slaying her dragons and risking her chances at ever retaking the iron throne.
She's not perfect but don't make her out to be the next mad king when she spends all 8 seasons proving that she isn't.

See

even though he didn't kill the Night King he is still the rightful heir to the Iron Throne is he not?

>Dany
>great leadership skills

Attached: Cuteler.jpg (299x299, 12K)

You too.

this makes so much sense

>show literally starts off with wights and white walkers

>Beric was brought back 10 times to be a stepping stool for Arya

Attached: 1474260173813.jpg (402x604, 33K)

To motivate Arya :)

Because female viewership.

Duh.

This seems like the case, but literally resurrecting a character as a plot device to move them to another location without affecting them otherwise is not great storytelling. There are a lot of ways it could be done within the normal scope of the story.

Pact of Ice and Fire

TO
SUBVERT
EXPECTATIONS

He was literaly destined to kill the night king but the showrunners decided that a fulfilling arc was too obvious and decided to change it for Arya just for the fuck of it.

THAT'S literaly it, they said so in the behind the scenes clip.

Attached: 365653281479.png (500x506, 113K)

>Benioff was the writer for that wolverine origins movie
KEK what a horrible movie. These fucking kikes are doing Star Wars now. This is what happens when you have no talent but you have Hollywood connections.

to scream at a dead dragon

>slavery is a crime because of my own set of beliefs
>therefore serfdom is good
And I am the pleb
>those emissaries were the same people that broke the truce Tyrion negotiated and their armies were in the process of attacking her city
No, those were EMISSARIES, not slavers. They were there to do diplomacy and were slaves most likely
>And she showed great leadership by hearing everyone's petitions every day and compromising when it meant peace
holy fuck rulers fucking rule?!? call the fucking press, this is not abnormal dude, and no, just because the mad king or joffrey didn't do it that doesn't mean she is a good ruler, just average at best and definetly not a great leader.
She started the war in Slaver's Bay in the first place by murdering slavers in Astapor after "selling" her dragon, effectibly stealing the unsullied, which results in Astapor falling into slavery again because the slaves enslaved the old slavers. She did fuck all.
>Doesn't kill the nobleman she wanted to execute without giving him a fair trial first just to prove she isn't like her father
literally just to prove it. had Barristan not tell her she would have done it anyway. And she has done worse. Of course both you retards are sold on the HBO vision of Dany, but Slaver's Bay is fucked.
>She frees the unsullied and every slave she comes across and eventually brings peace to the slavers bay
because the show said so and wanted to give closure to that plotline. It makes no sense. To create peace you kill all your enemies? I though she wanted to learn how to rule? but season 5 and 6 didn't teach that. Just kill everyone and all is fine.
>She also rules the dothraki which means that they won't raid these cities anymore.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>people actually believe this
hang yourself unironically. people are more complicated than
>oh, white pussy bitch inmune to fire!
>we must follow her every command for some reason!
once again. they just do because the show says so.

How were his memories brought back despite brain death?
>magic
Where did the magic retrieve his memories form?

D&D are just following any basic fan theories now.

This is the reason. He died so he could leave the Night’s Watch

magic

The third book is kino

Whomst?

Back to then fucking darkness I guess!

Attached: beric.jpg (426x640, 66K)

RIP sweet Beric. You deserved so much better.

>Jon comes back
>Forgets his Stark family heritage and bastardry.
>Becomes an absolute champion of the Lord of Light, living only to defeat the Others.

Jon will completely change himself like Beric and disregard all worldly connections, living only to save the people around him from the apocalypse. That's how I see it happening in the books anyway.

To bang is aunt.

Continuining
>She also defended their lives in the very next episode against a personification of death capable of slaying her dragons and risking her chances at ever retaking the iron throne.
Because of the Iron Throne and because the White Walkers are a geniune threat on everyone. There is no line in the show in which it is explicitly stated she does it for the kingdom compared to Stannis.
>She's not perfect but don't make her out to be the next mad king when she spends all 8 seasons proving that she isn't.
Season 1 Dany was the best. She is what she is. An Innocent little girl who knows nothing about the world. Then she fucks Drogo and gets all uppity. Then she gets dragons and gets more entitled. Show Mereen was a complete disaster. Worse that the sleeping pill that is Book Mereen, yet Dany in the books is managing to win over the people. Show Dany just kills everyone but gets sweeped under the rug by HBO's editing.
>she isn't the mad king!!!!
I don't fucking care. she is an entitled brat who always needed someone to do her bidding. she is not a good ruler, commander, administrator or diplomat. she just has dragons and a last name.

flossed over his dead body as well

Kit is such a manlet

Dany doesn't have sefs retard, and now that she is the ruler and these guys killed dozens of slaves to leave them up on roads, she can judge them.

They were slavers, they were representatives of the other slave cities attacking her and even tried to rat one guy as not being like them because he's more a commoner and merchant (he's tg e slaver who bought Jorah)

And talk shit all you want, she's done more actual ruling than Jon, Sansa and Cersei combined

to cheer for daenerys

YASSS QUEEEN

Just to suffer

>I greentext the whole post even though it is literally only one sentence because if I only texted "Lol" people wouldn't know what I was laughing about

>Dany doesn't have sefs retard
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serfdom
>Serfdom is the status of many peasants under feudalism
>As with slaves, serfs could be bought, sold, or traded (with some limitations as they generally could be sold only together with land, with the exception of the kholops in Russia and villeins in gross in England who could be traded like regular slaves)
>they were representatives of the other slave cities attacking her and even tried to rat one guy as not being like them because he's more a commoner and merchant
I don't remember this perfectly, but there is no reason to send slavers to make diplomacy with a woman who is known for killing slavers. It's either the show's fault or the show's fault. you can't win on this.
>And talk shit all you want, she's done more actual ruling than Jon, Sansa and Cersei combined
Not an achievement at all. Literally all lords that aren't the main cast have more experience in ruling because they have to rule their own lands.
>Cersei has less experience than Dany ruling
No. Not even in the books. Cersei is actually more intelligent in ACoK than Tyrion and knows the court culture and her strong points. Remember that she was the one who wanted the Alquemist to start doing wildfire and Tywin tells that to Tyrion in the books because he is an spoiled brat who wants all the credit.

>the apocalypse is just a sidequest
Aptly put

Are you talking about the pact between the children and the first men, or something else? And why would the Lord of Light care about THAT?

to subvert your expectations

Why did she need Beric when she has the ability to phase through an army of the undead and kill the Night King?

tfw he was so used to be stabbed to death that he just kept going after being impaled a dozen times

Attached: 1526585399272.jpg (750x750, 97K)

Because if Beric wasn't there at that point in time during the chase, her and The Hound would get caught and die.

She could've just phased through all of the zombies like she did to get to the Night King. She didn't need either of their help.

based but cringepilled

But Mel was there too? Why not just resurrect Arya the one time instead of Beric countless times?

her face has the shape of a dorito

>He was literaly destined to kill the night king
no he fucking wasn't. he was destined to fulfill the pact of ice and fire.

Why wouldn't it?

>"serfdom is slavery" american maymay
Serfdom was a social contract between people and landowners. In exchange for working their lands, the barons would provide a place to live, work and protection. Only in Late-era France and Russia did it ever reach slavery-tier dreadful conditions.

It also validates everyone who laughed at the threat of the Night King. He was killed by a little girl and defeated at the first organized resistance launched at him. A resistance mind you which involved launching light cavalry into total darkness without any support and positioning people who fight in a phalanx formation in front of trenches that were intended to be lit on fire. This resistance also was a fraction of the manpower that could have been theoretically fielded by Westeros. In the end Robb Stark's army had the potential to be more dangerous than the Night King and his army.

the pact of ice and fire. look up your own shit faggot

The Prince that was Promised was supposed to defeat the Night King and take the throne. That was never Jon.

Actual leaks, do not read if you don’t want this shitshow spoiled for you.

he kills dany

Because this show is absolute garbage. I was wondering the same thing. Mel is at full power there and Thoros was casually resurrecting Beric without being able to ignite an entire army's worth of weapons.

>And is a spear formation really that useful against hordes that throw themselves just at you?
It's exceptionally useful. It is how the Romans conquered Gaul and Britannia and then changed the world forever.

and Tyrion

If the NK isn't replaced by Bran or Jon I'm going to lose my shit.

Attached: 1466110234529.jpg (370x334, 14K)

You just need longer spears

final bosses=cersei (killed by Jaime) and dany (killed by Jon)

Dany needs to go back to Essos. Her destiny is to be the Aegon the Conquerer of Essos, and unite all the different groups under one ruler, so that one day it can become more like Westeros - but without THE WHEEL, of course. She's obsessed with the Iron Throne even though she has partially achieved something greater.

So this manlet white male can bench the knee in front of strong woman.
Bravo Lord of the light

for the inevitable funko pop

The NK knew Jon was coming for him, so he did everything he could to cockblock him, with the wights and the dragon.
He wasn't expecting anyone else to pose a threat.

No, HBO pays him to not release any new book that could go against their agenda

Jon was the one who brought everyone together. He was the key for their success. If it wasn't for Jon, arya would never have had the chance to kill the night king. How can people
not get this? Everything he did (and everyone else) lead him to this moment in time. Bran kept saying that in the fooking ep,

The point was for the night king to die. nothing matters at this point and everyone can now be killed off.

no they don't. why do you lie?

Threadly reminder that Littlefinger technically fulfilled the prophecy by giving the knife that killed the NK to Bran, and in turn to Arya. He does nothing without expecting something in return. Naturally, Littlefinger couldn't have killed the NK on his own. What better way to do it than have someone else kill him? Also, he is still alive and left Winterfell S7 Ep 5. A faceless woman took his place when he was "killed". Then again D&D are too stupid to do this. Disregard everything I said.

Attached: CIA 2.jpg (960x529, 80K)

hahahaahahhahahahahaahahaha. He was literally just brought back to life so he could block some wights for arya to escape

This shit show gives me at least a little more hope for wheel of time. All the books are already out so it should be pretty easy to just... 1-6 faithfully, turn 7-11 into two seasons, 12-14 easy. Satisfying conclusion, payoff worth the wait, all that.

So our hopes and dreams could be dashed.

>Great leadership skills
How about you go to Essos to show us all how great she made it? Silence, liberal.

You mean arya 360 noscopes cersei then dabs on the mountain?

To kill dany. I'm glad.

to be cucked by the female characters from accomplishing anything great. got cucked by sansa during the battle of the bastards. got cucked by arya. and now get cucked by dany. it's their fuck you to their male audience

And what was the point of that?

She should have resurrected Beric at that point.

>Hurr durr I'm contrarian

Nah fuck you man. At least first book is fucking great, second either even better or the start of the end depending on your tastes and in the third gurms decided to do fucking four books more instead of, ending it all.

Maaaaybe it could have been a quadrology, but fuck man, even that's stretching it.

D&D are hacks and should be shot.

Arya is the new hobbit, catching the greater power off guard, while Jon is Aragorn. It's poetry.

so that he had justification to hang Ollie

The Night Kings mark on Brans arm if going to be significant just you wait and see!!!

>Completely ignoring the point
And how is the white walker plot going?

>Getting stabbed to shit while blocking off the white walkers from Arya and the Hound
based

Why did that old bitch turn to dust at the end?

To save Arya. Just like everyone else was.

Never rewatching this shit again now. It's a shame because the first couple of seasons were kino.

Was always fascinated by this character. And all it was for was to save Arya from a couple of zombies now he's dead forever.

Lmao.

She was prolonging her life with the amulet, since when she removed it previously we saw she was a really haggered, old trollish looking woman. She probably spent a great deal of her power doing all she did during the fight, while also feeling like her purpose was fulfilled to the Lord of Light, that she felt it was time to be at peace and let go of her corporal form. She also knew Davos probably still hadn't fully forgiven her for what she did to Stannis' daughter and going out on your own terms is better than facing trial / punishment.

shore is summer in here

to rule the 7 kingdoms

the nk was just a minor inconvenience

Because he's the King that was promised, or something.

That's not true, though. His watch doesn't end until he stops moving. If he came back to life he's still in the watch and he's fucked. But then there's no night's watch anymore because there's no wall to guard and the zomby goasts are dead.

LMAO, who cares? have sex. kek, whatever man...hehehe. jon snows.

Because my sister and mom would have stopped watching the show if he didn't come back. He's literally the reason why women watch this show.

There is no fucking way that any battle of winterfell against the undead in the books is going to happen like it did in the tv series.

But there's a good chance the battle of winterfell against the undead will never get written.

user some women aren’t normies. There could be women in this thread right now

they're not even doing that

implying Arya isn't popular with true fans

to get dany's army killed

they should have been stopped then, how many chances are these hacks gonna be given?

You’re right but show Arya is not the book Arya we enjoy. We enjoy the conflicted-heart book Arya who uses her wits to kill a man with a poisoned coin, not the one who epic murders all the Frey’s.

>Promise me, Ned.
>Next time we see each other, we'll talk about your mother. I promise.

This is just 2 examples.

Arya killing the NK destroyed Jon's whole character, and his whole plot going back to season 1.
If I were GRRM I'd be beyond pissed.

the lord of light read ahead in the script

Well who's fault was that? Dude took the paycheck for the tv series, so he made his bed now he has to lie in it.

It was obviously fucking Jon.
He's literally the fucking uncrowned prince of the seven kingdom's. (Like his father was)

D&D just subverted expectations for no reason, Jon is literally the main character.

Don't be mean to the new kid, he's probably pretty cool if you'd get to know him.

It takes a village, fren. He helped some.

>to call him short

How many Ho-De-Dos are on this show?

Based and CIApilled. Don't lose faith.

see you in the finale, faggots

Where are you guys getting these? I've seen this spoiler more than once.

>name misspelling

Shouldn't he have turned to dust or something when Melly died?

me too, seriously hope that happens. Lots of shit reaction videos from bars with people crying seems about right as the ending for this train wreck

Shireen was sacrificed for Jon

how long do souls hang around for? Were 17 people sacrificed for beric?

so he can kill bran after the mark consumes him and turns him into the night king in king's landing

remember the visions of king's landing in snow?
retards fell for a false flag
people will be praising dnd as gods in a few weeks time

Anyone else legitimately think it was Lord Farquaad from the thumbnail?

You have the taste of a cynical peasant.

I hope this happens, fucking hate dany

if arya with her unfinished training could get behind the nk in that situation then any other actual faceless man could

He's never been shown to care about Westerosi politics and it seems like a stupid thing for a god to care about. Also, Jon doesn't even worship him. Why would he raise Jon Snow to fight for him? If his desire really was having a specific person on the Iron Throne, wouldn't he want a follower of his...? Same thing with Dany, if he only rez'd him to help her take it. Really, what does he care if it's Jon or Dani or Cercei on the throne?
I DID look it up. It's the pact between the children and the first men, RIGHT? That's the one? I was asking you for clarification because it didn't seem to have anything to do with The Lord of Light or why he would resurrect Jon at a quick read of the summary. I'm not going to scour the internet reading several pages of Wiki info or fan theories looking for exactly wtf you're talking about. Either tell me why it matters or stfu, dick.

>Threadly reminder that Littlefinger technically fulfilled the prophecy

I like it, but Arya loaned that dagger out to Sansa, didn't she? She stabbed NK with a rando dragon glass dagger.

What separates this battle from the last repelling of the white walkers from centuries ago?
>Everyone's got dragon glass
You know who you've got to thank for that?
>Fucking Sam booooooi
The only fucking guy in the series to read a history book and learn from the mistakes of the past. Sam is the only reason the NK was able to be defeated at all. Otherwise everyone would be spending 5x longer fighting common zombies because otherwise it'd take more than one stab to put them down.

And Jon was going to just leave Sam to die.

His only purpose was to have sex with Dany. Like literally all he contributed was that she went North. Arya could've just snuck past a zillion wights and ended it anytime as long as Bran was used as bait.

youtube.com/watch?v=1k0TqJQaCJU

kek based.

Can I get full spoilers for what is left of the season?

To impregnate Dany

He came back because he will come back in the books and fight Euron, who will be the big bad after becoming the drowned god.

The Night King isn't a character in the books and wasn't a part of Georges original plan so it doesn't matter who killed him.

We can still very well get Azor Jon.

Thoros probably had at least one soul charge at any given point since Beric usually got himself killed during or shortly after pitched battle.

to fuck Sansa

>a common saying but not their words

>Why was he brought back to life?

Literally because for no reason other than girls think he is cute, girls are good for ratings, rating equals profits.

>*record scratch

>I think characters like Beric and Bran serve no real purpose but to progress the storyline of Arya.
At this point if you think writers of this show give a shit about Jon you're sadly mistaken

If you think about it, even if Jon hadn't been in the Battle of Winterfell, the outcome would have been exactly the same. He did literally nothing except fall from a Dragon.

to bide more time so arya, as a elite assassin, can come up with the idea to maybe try and kill the night king.

To kill Dani.

just noticed rewatching, after she's drops the knife, it cuts back to a shot of her face, and the night king is some how holding her up by her collar bone

yep

did the writers forgot about Azor Ahai and stuff?

This.

>and take the throne
That was never party of the prophecy, retard

This was without a doubt the best damn summary that I have read with regards to everything that was wrong with that horrible ending. In my opinion, it was Lost level writing. But hey the future is female.

Azor Ahai is an aggregate of people. It's been explained that way in theories too. They all have to work together to fix shit.

Easy answer: to keep Winterfell basically functional enough to set up the drop.
Alt answer: the Lord of Light gives a shit about who sits on the Iron Throne and his influence in that is still desirable.

Why not at least kill Arya and have beric give her the kiss of life, Shows respect for the book plot and actually needs him there. Him dying 7 times means literally nothing.

would unironically like this and the meltdown would be near 2016 election levels

>as the last great character of the show to bite the dus
Wait. Didn't Tywin and Stannis die after him?

So he can leave the night's watch and fuck his aunt

This is a 10/10 in Britland

>Rotund Retard

kek

Like an Animatronic.

Jon Snow sucks massive big black cock. He bends over like a good beta cuck for nigger dick. Jon Snow worships huge hung nigger ding dong in heaven for all eternity. Bigger nigger alpha males dominate beta bitch white boys in any sexual display of dominance. It is always clear that superior mighty ebony members deserve more praise than jealous faggot white beta males. Niggers have more testosterone, and are more suit to breed with women. I, faggot white boy, will forever yearn for bbc in my hungry ass. I, faggot white boy, pledge my soul to serve bbc cum gods for all eternity. Gay for big black nigger dick forever. Gay for big black nigger ding dong for life. White boys are all secretly gay for the thought of a thick veiny long juicy black cock that could give our girlfriends way better orgasms than we could ever imagine with our puny pink teeny weenies.
Also I love Game of Thrones

HIS NAME WAS BASED BERIC

Tax policy

are you insane?

>defeat night king and claim the throne, but then current times happened and future is female
Most plausible explanation.

How are bad writers not blacklisted or something? If I fuck up my job, I am done. Not only at my job but inside the industry too.

>Why was he brought back to life?
So no one would ask "what happens to the dragons when dany dies?"... They obviously go to her incest baby of course!

Archetypal hero cannot die. He must defeat the forces of evil.

If the story calls for his death, the tv writers will always bring him back to life. The irony and the paradox

I'm crying, sides in orbit. They should make this the new pledge of the Night's Watch.

He was such a cool and mysterious character only to be reduced to be a Ho-da-door

Attached: 1504147955593.png (589x843, 281K)

Dondarion and clegane are destined to play a major role in ending the long night or whatever by literally dragging arya around in the earlier seasons. Beric drags her to mellisandre who tells her shes a mary sue and sandor drags her to literally fucking nothing to show her that her life is meaningless and she should be a gay faceless man

For fucks sake I just realized I had completely forgotten about Jon Snow being able to warg because the show completely abandons it.

And by that logic ed sheeran is also a chosen warrior of light or whatever because he tells her to go to winterfell

that was David Benioff who also wrote Troy (2004) so i think it balances out

He was the last of the favorites.
Too bad I don't give a fuck anymore otherwise I would Yea Forums-mourn his death.

>Can I dwell on what I scarce remember? I held a castle on the Marches once, and there was a woman I was pledged to marry, but I could not find that castle today, nor tell you the color of that woman's hair. Who knighted me, old friend? What were my favorite foods? It all fades. Sometimes I think I was born on the bloody grass in that grove of ash, with the taste of fire in my mouth and a hole in my chest. Are you my mother, Thoros?
>Her cloak and collar hid the gash his brother's blade had made, but her face was even worse than he remembered. The flesh had gone pudding soft in the water and turned the color of curdled milk. Half her hair was gone and the rest had turned as white and brittle as a crone’s. Beneath her ravaged scalp, her face was shredded skin and black blood where she had raked herself with her nails. But her eyes were the most terrible thing. Her eyes saw him, and they hated.
>Lolz my watch is done, I'm out

To plant the seed of Ice and Fire in his aunt

no one in the show cares so why should I

What if he ends up never coming back in the books? The last one ends with him dying, right?

in the book it's the stark mom that gets rezed after having her throat slit at the red wedding so she's like a creepy revenge obsessed zombie. Significantly more metal, in my opinion.

This is what happens when you have no talent but you're jewish

First of all, have sex. Second, become normie. Thirdnd, you can now enjoy the EPIC THIRD EPISODE OF THE EIGHTH SEASON OF THE BEST SHOW ON TELEVISION LMAO

Have sex :^)

They have friends in high places, and also give good head.

He was a fan favorite

Lol, dude just have sex

>Essos
She's Genghis Khan with tits. Volantis and the other free cities are going to be nothing but ashes and mountains of skulls once she's finished with it.

Also Poland and Austria and that makes it like 1/3 of Europe

To fuck the queen?

Why does he look Polynesian here?

Yeah, like Dabid would ever be that awesome.

Sorry user, but the series has reduced him into a flaming sword guy.

>the wights got past the flame barricade by just piling onto it to snuff out the flames

weren't wights shown multiple times, most recently in the LITERAL previous episode, to be extremely flammable and burst into flames when lit?

Attached: dio.png (695x391, 450K)

Whatever the real reason is remains to be seen

The *new* reason is going to be in the next two episodes, like killing dany or something

Because that would be too good.

no tier list image to go along with it, so I'm gonna go cringe on this one

Honest to god answer? No snark? To get Arya to Winterfell. I hate it too but look at what we have. LoL took a direct hand in a few events, all of which domino into Arya being where she needed to be.

Beric was the catalyst to keep her from going home too soon unprepared. The Hound was scared out of King's Landing by fire and taught her what he could then she went for more training. Stannis needed to be prodded to attack Winterfell, giving Sansa and Jon insight into how to beat Ramsay. Jon was brought back because Arya was going to KL to kill Cersei, Sansa wasn't enough to lure her.

I guess Gendry getting a leech blowjob and Shireen being BBQ was a misinterpretation. But the times LoL intervenes prior to Arya being there all feed into it. So that much isn't shit writing. It's just everything else.

NO, you FUCKING faggot

arya gave sansa an obsidian dagger, you can tell because its BLACK and looks like its made of DRAGONGLASS

arya stabbed the night king with the Valerian steel dagger that was given to her by bran that was given to him by littlefinger that was given back to him by catelyn who got it off of that random dude that tried to kill bran in episode 2

Doesn't she have purple eyes in the book? I thought all the targs distinguishing features included purple eyes.

>Troy (2004)
You mean another story he butchered.

Jon will warg into Ghost, so he won't lose that much of himself after he will be brought back to life. Read the 5 book, but only once.

Dramatic effect. It's called television.

To kill Dany when she turn insane

3 eyed raven will take over his body in the last episode and rule the kingdom as king. You really think he wants to spend his life as a cripple?

Wouldn't even surprise me if Daenerys gets to sit on the iron throne in the end, just because of girlpower bullshit.

this would be the best ending

Attached: 1556260025321.jpg (319x331, 15K)

Good touch with the "No!"

he'll ultimately kill Dany and become the prince that was promised

this show is gay you fags are wasting your time

so when will Jon start calling Dany "auntie"?

fucking based

Attached: 1536099840804.gif (150x173, 2.06M)

oh my keks, dragon bitch is by FAR one of the worst tacticians, the most uninspiring of any leaders on this show, literally only got where she is because 'lol fireproof, thanks for free dragons, me want iron throne', and being whiteknighted by every single male around her

Ugh just turn your brain off??

a bro, and a true gentleman
It should have been the hound taking his sword, lighting it and facing down that dragon in the end while Jon/Jamie kill the NK
Completely done with this shitshow

>shamelessly moving goalpost

>and pulling a Rey drop-trick-stab.
Far cry 3 did it first

>Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is?

youtu.be/BG9WVZ7zmog?t=135

anime moving at incredibly high speeds

>The Prince that was Promised was supposed to defeat the Night King and take the throne
is the PTWP really supposed to become king? I think the PTWP (Arya) already fulfilled her destiny and might die in the following episodes. I don't think she will kill Cersei nor Dany, much less become Queen through some hack

resident evil did it with a gun way back

No.
Dude Tywin died in season 4, what the fuck?

Dany must do something REALLY FUCKING BAD for Jon wanting to kill her
So, who is it gonna be? Who is gonna die by Daenerys' hand? It's either Sansa or Arya

he was necessary to bring the dragon bitch to the north
and he will also trigger the internal war against her

Remember to use spoilers

They diverted from the books so hard
a few years that I didn't think they'd pay attention to any of the actual lore of the universe and make up their own. There is no use in giving a fuck I'm in the sunken cost side of things and just want this show over with.

Rewatching most of season 1 after not seeing it in a few years is night and day in terms of quality and writing.

That's retarded, in the books Jon BREAKS HIS VOWS and decides to march south to intervene in crown affairs. This is ultimately why he's killed, and it makes any loophole in the oath irrelevant if he's resurrected.

In the show he's killed because Thorne is alt right or whatever

100% sansa

Attached: respect.png (1592x892, 1.81M)

holy fuck its true, origins wolverine was one of the worst movies ive ever seen and this has been openly criticized in the new deadpool movies themselves let alone by fans online for years how the hell did this man continue to get work? just how circumcised is his penis?

the merc with the mouth has no mouth! subverted! oh everyone hated that? uhhh... arya kills the night king! give this man money!

I think so to. I kinda wish it was Arya though. It would get the feminists the most upset

And if you look at the red wedding, that is subverting expectations. They managed to come out of left field with something shocking, unexpected and we'll put together. D&D fail to bring this type of scene together in that last episode. They think they're doing shit like GRRM but it is god awful cape shit tier. It's so annoying

troy was fucking awful you retard

no real reasons to kill arya tho, she just mind her own business, doesnt want to rule
big brain sansa on the other hand is doing master puppeter moves at her back

True. Hopefully Arya will die while they face Cersei

What did he do since he came back to life? That's why. Was that so hard?

There's only one faceless man.

This is likely WHY Arya killed the Night King in all honesty.

Cersei and Danny will die at the end here both as villains and if Jon killed the Night King GoT would get wrecked by the metoo movement for being anti women. Arya killing the Night King allows them to end it with female villains and the Danny twist cause they just made headlines with how empowering GOT is to women and female characters etc...

I'm pissed too but I'm very aware this is to allow for the "mad danny" plot to even go down at all.

dunno if they can turn dany into evil
i mean, if jon says he wants the throne it's in her right to battle him for it, he's got no real evidence beside a piece of paper wrote by sam (the original should be rotten by now) and the word of a cripple
that wouldnt make her evil

He was brought back to life to have a sword fight with Euron Greyjoy.
