It's not intellectual enough to go that route so they included these cheap horror scenes to carry it along, but it's not horror or thrilling enough either.
The colour scheme and those handheld camera shots with Isaac were pretty ugly aswell.
I enjoyed the film for the cheap and fun sci-fi mystery that it is, but thats about it. It's a fairly middling affair overall.
