It was Sonic, wasn't it
It was Sonic, wasn't it
Episode 9
It's Aladdin.
why should we care what this twitterfag has to say
We can only hope, but nah, it has to be Sonic
I'd enjot this if only for the desperate damage control that will flood the internet immediately.
i guess dark phoenix, bryan singer has definitely lost it.
Probably Episode 9.
I don't know if you know this, but JJ can't end anything to save his life.
That's why Ep3 was so good, it wasn't an ending...it was a beginning.
...
Dark Phoenix. Apparently they had to redo the entire second half in reshoots because the test audiences hated it so much. It was also directed by the retard who wrote X3: The Last Stand. That’s right, the Phoenix saga was fucked up by the same guy twice.
Dark Phoenix
he didn't direct dark phoenix
dark phoenix they realized sophie turner can't act
He's primarily a producer and Dark Phoenix is the first film he's directing
Pick your top 5 most likely candidates:
>Detective Pikachu
>Aladdin
>Godzilla: KotM
>Dark Phoenix
>Men in Black: International
>Toy Story 4
>Spider-man: FFH
>The Lion King
>Dora
>Artemis Fowl
>It: Chapter 2
>Joker
>Maleficent 2
>Terminator: Dark Fate
>Sonic
>Frozen 2
>Star Wars Episode 9
PROBABLY: hellboy
Cinema is dead.
YO
That’s even worse, honestly. You don’t give a movie this big to a first-timer.
>Terminator: Dark Fate
>Dark Phoenix
>Men in Black: International
Probably one of these, leaning Dark Phoenix.
could be literally any of these
1. Dark Phoenix
2. Terminator: Dark Fate
3. Aladdin
4. Artemis Fowl
5. Star Wars
Sonic looks like shit, but Paramount looks like they're owning their failure. Doesn't look like the result of behind the scenes fuckery. Also the capeshit comparison in the OP makes it even more likely.
What's a big budget these days? It says Sonic's was 90 mil
Dark phoenix or terminator
>Dark Phoenix
>Terminator: Dark Fate
>Men in Black: International
>Sonic
>blockbuster
No one gives a flying fuck about Sonic, it's in the same category as Super Mario Bros.
I pick these 3:
maleficent 2 - jolie is an ugly old bitter mentally insane skeletor who the fuck want to watch that
dark phoenix - literally no one is hyped for that
terminator dark fate - no john connor. hes being erased from the main time line. no clark too so normalfags dont care
1. Sonic
2. Dark Phoenix
3. Men in Black
4. Aladdin
5. Terminator
>Detective Pikachu
This is gonna be praised through the roof. If it wasn't up against Endgame it could make near 2B. It still might
>Aladdin
Absolute shite but it's Disney so people will defend it
>Dark Phoenix
Mega flop but with the Fox/Disney merger imminent I doubt anyone involved cares
>Men in Black: International
Looks pretty fun and it's pretty much Thor Ragnarok 2, I'm sure it will do well.
>Toy Story 4
Huge profit, huge critic scores, mediocre audience scores. It's certain to be awful but it's still Disney nostalgiabait
>Spider-man: FFH
I wanna say capeshit is dead after Endgame but I've overestimated capebabies before. This will do well
>The Lion King
This is gonna be a straight downgrade in every respect from the original but if you say that you're a racist
>Dora
Mega kino. Best picture award incoming
>Artemis Fowl
Literally who?
>Joker
I have no idea how to predict DC movies anymore after Justice League/Aquaman/Shazam.
>Terminator: Dark Fate
Megaflop
>Sonic
I don't think you need me to tell you
>Frozen 2
Little girls are an easy market
>Episode 9
Same shit as the last two, absolute trash but its Disney. It will make less but the shill machine never stops.
I'd guess the most likely candidates for the OP are Sonic, Hellboy, Dora, Terminator and Dark Phoenix
it wasn't anything specific, just a random safe prediction by a nobody. however, yes, the statement could apply to sonic
He already said it wasn't.
>If it wasn't up against Endgame it could make near 2B. It still might
don't kid your self
it will struggle to make even 1b, not that it needs
You’re underestimating it. It could really go either way. We already know the movie is great from the reviews
>We already know the movie is great from the reviews
It's either Episode 9 or X-Men. I'm leaning towards X-Men though because Sophie Turner seriously sucks as an actress and Jennifer Laurence has been mailing it in for the last 3 movies.
>movie about the biggest franchise on the planet that literally everyone knows following a hugely successful reboot of the games (Pokemon Go) and led by one of the biggest comedy actors around right now can't make over $1B
The fact that the trailers actually look good, the people involved actually seem to give a shit and its apparently testing well enough to warrent a whole cinematic universe helps too.
Still not sure why they chose this release date. Endgame is literally the only movie on the planet that could compete with a Pokemon blockbuster
Your mom's vagina is dead after I fucked it so hard
nah I work in the same office where most of the Episode 9 edit is going on. They're all real gay in a good way about it. If it does end up being shit then everyone is just delusional.
Dark Phoenix for sure. They had to delay it for a reason.
As long as it's not Joker I couldn't give a shit.
>Dora
>Sonic
>Artemis Fowl
These aren't major blockbusters. You could throw Terminator in there as well because they'd have accounted for the shitpile that was the last film and not gone crazy with the budget.
>IT 2
Will arguably make the biggest bank out of all of those listed and is also not a major blockbuster.
King of the Monsters disproves your assertion.
>Detective Pikachu
>This is gonna be praised through the roof. If it wasn't up against Endgame it could make near 2B. It still might
Retard spotted
The Irishman. I am starting to wonder about this one. It has a 200 million dollar budget. Deniro, Pesci, Pacino, Keitel, and its supposed to be released this summer, still no trailer or anything, no info on screenings, and they are using CGI to make them all look young again. Could be a disaster.
Joke's on you - I have two dads
Get Godzilla off of that list you fucking mongoloid
it's also vague enough to be completely meaningless
Has Sonic been cursed since 1994? Other than Mania everything related to the franchise has been either terrible or mediocre.
user, I think the joke's still on you...
who thought will smith would make a good genie
is sonic a girl?
>Detective Pikachu
>hey guys lets take the first ever "real" pokemon movie and make the lead some sort of mocha nigger even though it makes no sense at all
It'll be Aladdin hands down
>step 1: rub duh lamp
>step 2: make yah wish
>step 3:
>Aladdin
The trailer makes it look like it was shot on basic cable budget
>Dark Phoenix
We all know how fucked was this from the get go
>Sonic
GANGSTA'S PARADISE
There might be a few turds among the rest, but nothing else looks like Batman and Robin levels of a bomb. So I'll add Hellboy which actually proved itself to be a clusterfuck on all levels.
>We already know the movie is great from the reviews
Twitter blue checkmark shills do not count.
bro I like Sonic but in no fucking universe could the Sonic movie be considered a "major blockbuster".
>Godzilla on that list
more like one of the top movies most likely to be a success
I mean I love Godzilla and I'm hyped for KoTM but it's really not going to make a lot of money. Outside of Japan nobody gives a fuck about GZ, did 2014 even make that much bank?
definitely NOT:
toy story
IT
dora
frozen
godzilla
the rest are all good candidates
To normies they often do
Normies just say:
>Hey what's out?
>movie X wanna go see it?
>what are the reviews like?
>The reviews for it are good
>let's go this friday
Nah. Even if it’s not well received, it’ll still be better received than TLJ. They’re gonna course correct hard and while it’ll feel forced, it’ll at least be somewhere near how TFA was received overall. Not only that but there’s still a large portion of the fan base that will love it regardless because it’s Star Wars.
2019 will be the year of glorious cringekino
Aladdin (No one is excited for it 3 trailers in.)
Dark Phoenix (Nothing but terrible things said so far.)
Dora (Is this a question?)
Terminator (It’s in its DNA to suck.)
Sonic (Duh.)
I was gonna say maybe Artemis Fowl but really that looks more like a very meh movie that will just barely slip into the negative and no one will see it. It’ll just be like A Wrinkle in Time and the Nutcracker movie from last year. Detective Pikachu will be “cute” and have like a 79%. Pokefans will eat it up. Godzilla will be loved by fans but probably not critics. 59%. MiB might be a surprising hit. Toy Story 4 is safe unless they really fuck it up. If Thor 2 is the worst reviewed Marvel movie then Spider-Man is definitely safe. The Lion King will be loved at first and hated later once the soullessness sets in. IT is undoubtedly fine. Joker will get railed by some fans but the critics will love it. Maleficent 2 I’m unsure. I’m thinking high 60s low 70s on RT. Frozen 2 will not be as beloved as the first but it will make a shit ton and still get an 83% RT score. Episode IX is going to be more well received by the fan base at large but you’ll still have the people turned off by TLJ acting like it’s worse than it is.
>the plot is a nigger trying to find his missing dad
>this somehow makes no sense
Dark Phoenix. It's already been compared to bman and robin.
I woke up and there's about 9 threads up for this movie. I assume the trailers up and did not go well?
Episode 9
Dark Phoenix
MIB International
Terminator Dark Fate
>Men in Black: International
>Dark Phoenix
>Terminator: Dark Fate
>Star Wars Episode 9
>If it does end up being shit then everyone is just delusional.
Reminder that they all thought that TLJ was a masterpiece that the fans would love
We already found out user.
New Terminator is my bet. They're not even marketing it. It's releasing in October, that awkward time between the summer and awards season.
They're expecting a massive flop
That's taking so long because so much of the film is cgi that there's nothing they can show until it's fully done.
Thing is, even if the cgi is terrible, it will still be a fun film. It's just going to be Goodfellas 3
Artemis Fowl is gonna be terrible, it's obvious they completely butchered the first book.
>Pokemon Go is a reboot
they're all going to be shit
My money is on Dark Phoenix
Teminator and Star Wars won't win anyone back, but neither will be anywhere as disastrous as their previous installment. Men in Black will be "eh, it was alright" tier.
>major blockbuster
>90 million
>big budget
lmao chill fucking fanboy brigade
it's literally just a list of all the blockbusters coming out this year
please fuck off to reddit you literal child holy FUCK
Reboot in interest I mean. Poor choice of word
I don't think so. You can watch Rian interacting with all the department heads and it's exactly like the TPM behind the scenes. Everyone is just nodding awkwardly and looking concerned.
It's terminator. It's a major blockbuster, it has a massive budget, it has no male lead characters since they wrote connor out. They're shooting scenes in different continents increasing the costs of the production. It's coming out this year and there's no trailer and there's no pictures or any footage so far.
It's produced by Cameron. It'll be fine.
Terminator is already a long dead franchise though. There's no way it could get Batman & Robin levels of cult hatred since everyone already expects it.
Sonic was getting it before the trailer even dropped. So many people are gonna see it out of pure morbid curiosity.
Hellboy
I mean the execs and at least some of the actors. But fair point, if the actual "grunts" think TROS is looking good, then it probably won't be the same absolute shitheap as tlj
How many times, Sonic isn't a major blockbuster, it's $90 million.
It's guaranteed to be a disaster. Someone on Letterboxd called it, it's gonna look like "Get Yourself High".
>every single one is either an adaptation, a sequel or a remake
Of course. Why are you still watching commercial Hollywood movies?
It's definitely not Episode 9, It, Joker, Frozen 2, Toy Story 4 or Spiderman
Could be any of the others though.
The only movies I've seen in theater in the past 10 years were Saving Dory (younger cousins wanted to see it) and Blade Runner 2049.
like Alita?
The fuck have they been smoking, all of these look horrible
My money's on Aladdin
Dark Phoenix last trailer made it look decent.
>Maleficent 2
How in the FUCK? It literally ended with "and they lived happily ever after"
Aladdin or Sonic
>If I make prediction as generic and non-specific as possible, it will have to be found true eventually
Do you guys believe in astrology too?
I don't know about this movie, CGI Sonic looks pretty bad, but I like Jim Carreys look at least.
the ammount of movies that could be this movie shows how fucked up cinema is as a medium.
and i understand complaining about capeshit fatigue, but the options are:
> live action disney movies
> alleatory intellectual properties
> some stupid book from walmart best sellers list
> remakes
> something starring the rock
its over. done.
Just pick any of the jew 'blockbusters'
Artemis Fowl
Sonic
Dark Phoenix
Everything else will be fair to middling in reviews
jim carrey was all WOKE BOOMER and once the money was necessary, back to get some easy cash on a gigantic and previsible piece of shit of a movie.
> pure artistic integrity and no worries about materialism.
fucking STD asshole.
at least try to do a new mask, ace ventura, some shit that could be borderline interesting. no.
It's got to be either Dark Phoenix or Aladdin.
Forgot about this already. Yeah, that was probably it.
either sonic, terminator, MIB, or joker
Either Sonic or this
It was pretty much confirmed XMEN or SONIC.
But most likely XMEN, since its been partially confirmed.
Or maybe, just maybe, he saw a film that looked fun and that his kids might enjoy and which would allow him to act goofy on set in a relaxed environment without having to worry about politics or gun-advocacy or drugs or all the rest...
Broke even and the movie is fantastic, so yes.
captain marvel?
I’m really sick of jews and their pets.
aladdin
dora
sonic
frozen 2 (frozen is obviously extremely popular but i didn't enjoy the teaser trailer)
shart warts
Isn't there one of these just about every year?
LIL DONNIE
Everything that could go wrong with Apocalypse Now went wrong but is regarded as one of the greatest movies of all time
Likewise Jaws and others like Fitzcarraldo
Dora might do okay because now she's sexy. Most people over 25 don't know anything about the IP either.
