Plus he invents some weird space magic bullshit that prevents anyone from time travelling ever again so I don't have to see a million "why didn't they just go back to Tony Stark's funeral and borrow the glove?" threads after each movie.
Reboot it. Again. Fantastic Four was all about the bants between the characters, and technobabble. The MCU does both of these to the point of excess, so it's a perfect fit. I'll go with the meme casting of Kryzinski and Blunt as Reed and Sue, but only if they bring back Chiklis for The Thing, as he loved the part, and he really was a perfect Ben.
Dylan Hill
But does he have the voice for Doom?
Jaxson Ward
They fight one of their other retarded villains.
Fantastic Four one has them getting powers except for Doom. Except he actually does have powers and is plotting behind the scenes while everyone thinks he's good. The Fantastic Four fight [stupid villain] then Doom shows up and helps them defeat villain, revealing his powers.
World thinks Doom is a good guy, F4 think he's good guy. We see him plotting behind the scenes in future movies until his big moment to shine.
Wyatt Ward
Has F4 just been swept under the rug completely by the MCU? I don't follow the movies but I like Doom as a villian. But haven't they made like 3 different reboots of F4 over the years? Have they all just been buried
Evan Morris
Astronauts who have been lost for decades return. They have powers. Reed Richards is quick to adapt to the whole superhero thing and forms the team. He works closely with Dr. Strange.
Instead of making Reed the kind of guy who beats his wife, you get across that he's an asshole to the audience by having him openly shit on Tony Stark for fucking up so many times claiming he could have done a better job. This sets him up as egotistical which informs his relationship with Doom.
Doom is easy. After the Snap, he rose to rule over a small insular country in Europe. Undoing the Snap actually fucked him over, he was doing quite well for himself. He's not a fucking Twitter CEO or whatever he was in the previous adaptations. He is DOOM - a megalomaniacal sorceror/scientist who believes that only he is fit to rule. He wants to get his hands on all of the technology/magic that allowed the Avengers to stop Thanos, surmising that he can reverse-engineer it for his own purposes. Never explain why he wears the mask
William Campbell
All the previous F4 movies weren't MCU, just produced in association. FOX had the rights to them until just recently.
It's a fresh slate
Christian Morgan
so you plan for another 10 years buildup to make Doom a Thanos level villain (in terms of impacts on the whole MCU). I'm not a comic book fan, don't know if there is already such a story or they should rewrite the whole universe (others superheros, villains,.. stories) to come up with a kino movie that has Doom as the final boss
Dominic Sanders
I can see it already Yea Forums's pure seething as Doom's actor is revealed
Building up Doom as the next Thanos is a mistake. He should be more like a constant antagonist that reaches across several films because of his all-consuming interest in technology and magic, allowing him to harass both Dr. Strange and Antman with equal zeal.
The next Thanos is obviously Galactus, and they'll need Doom's help to fight him in the end. He's the new Loki.
Easton Williams
I could care less about this thread but just wanted to stop by and say DOOM is Marvel's best villain. Goodbye.
Austin Carter
I'm not sure about Doom and F4, but I can guarantee you that the excuse for X-Men/Mutants appearing will be the "massive surge of energy" from when Thanos first snap'd that rocket talks about
Wanda and Quicksilver got their powers from just being around the mind stone after all didn't they?
John Ortiz
potential problem Magneto can no longer realistically be a holocaust survivor, he'd have to be like 100 years old, but it's maybe the most important aspect of his character
Luis Turner
they can probably just write in some BS that he ages slower because of reasons.
John Sullivan
He’s got slowed aging or some regenerative powers now because he can control the iron in his blood or some bullshit. Problem solved.
Brody Martinez
I don't know about in the comics, but in the previous X-men movies he could only do that "control iron the blood" trick because one of his minions injected the guard with iron in a previous scene
I don't think that's part of his normal powerset but that's probably the reason they'd use anyway.
Jaxon Ross
I agree, he fills the role of Loki as the antagonist/hero as the plot demands. Next Big Bad should build up to Galactus.
It's super easy to write in. Cap implied in Endgame that a number of countries governments collapsed. Sokovia is one of them. Doom, in 5 years, organized the area and turned it into Latveria.
Carter Taylor
Yep, that's what I was thinking, he's one of the few people who realized the potential of a post-snap world and capitalized on it. Now he's pissed that the Avengers have given him a setback - and as we know, that's more than enough for DOOM to hold a grudge for all eternity.
He'll want all that juicy Stark tech that is probably being held in secret now. He'll want Strange's various artifacts. He'll want Quantum Tech. You can write DOOM into practically every movie going forward. He wants Vibranium from Wakanda etc.
