Shown to be a prodigy from a young age

>Shown to be a prodigy from a young age
>Daughter of one of the best swordsmen and honorable men in the land
>Trained in the most prolific styles in the world by the best swordsman ever
>Well traveled and hardened by her adventure, returns to the ancestral continent native to humans
>Trained by assassins of highest caliber and works the divine will of an actual god of the home of humans (Essos) the Many Face God. Not the hethen old/new god of westeros
>Has supernatural assassin abilities of muted movement, face stealing, and shapeshifting coupled with her natural ability and high training
Westeros is not a land of man, and none of the heroes of it represent the will of man. Arya is the only one to reconnect with mankind's roots, home, and gods to truly slay that which would snuff out the sons of man.

awesome reddit essay I gotta say

Remember when she was just a victim of politics having to find her way without the protection of parents and family?

So is she Azor Ahai? Serious question

if there's anything similar to that in the show, well duh
who the fuck else?

With the way Beric and Melisandre’s fates were really shown to be tied to hers at the end and their deaths and shots with her kept going, the implication is that she is in fact azor ahai.

Top kek OP’s anus BTFO

Then how does Jon fit into all this. What purpose was he brought back if not to be a divine savior. To be king? To take back Winterfell so that it may be a stronghold for mankind? I honestly don’t know where any of this is going other then Mellie is the worst prophet in the history of everything.

>What purpose was he brought back if not to be a divine savior.

idk, but Beric was brought back like 7 times and did far less than Jon.

He is the rightful king. He is Fire and Ice.

why can’t they make her a great warrior but also not have a shitty personality and do out of place anime shit all the time? It’s the way they did it. If you weren’t already expecting some female power shit going into this fight, you haven’t been paying attention to the show the last few seasons. It’s not that she did it, it’s how poorly they executed it. The show feels so deflated now. The pay off to everything was disappointing.

Anime OC is literally better than any other political special snowflake.
I hope they make Arya even more ridiculous.

Arya is a good character.
Maisie and the show do a piss poor job at portraying her and just make her anime strong instead of any character growth.

It would have been fine for Arya to kill The Night King, the show is just horribly written so a) there wasn't enough emphasis placed on the Faceless Men being these extremely deadly magical assassins outside Jaqen going on an invisible rampage like he was the Predator, twisting people's heads around, and basically saying "I can kill anyone...anyone. You just need to give me a name and the time to get it done." And that was how many seasons ago? There's backstory in the books that would have you believe that killing someone like the Night King might be a really difficult task for a Faceless Man, but they themselves are basically portrayed as forces of death so you might say "okay that's believable."

b) Arya in the show especially didn't really train meaningfully with the Faceless Men. She's not a Faceless Man. It's no surprise this is getting compared to TLJ and nu-wars because this is the Rey situation all over again. Arya didn't train significantly enough for it to make sense for her to have the abilities of a full fledged Faceless Man. She just took a little vacation through their introductory program and is now even MORE lethal than this cult of trained magical killers. It hollows out the story and reduces the tension, threat, and impact of the White Walkers.

c) Perhaps the most egregious which nullifies everything I've said above and a lot of people have said already, killing the Night King isn't really a part of Arya's arc. She wasn't training to be a Faceless Man to confront the Night King. She was training to take out Cersei. Jon was "training" to take out The Night King. This is like Rocky training to beat Apollo, but thanks to subverting our expectations Apollo dies in a car accident on the way to the match or Micky jumps in the ring and beats up Apollo instead.

I mean Arya doesn't "pay" anything to kill the most dangerous threat mankind has seen in centuries. She gets a boo boo on her head.

Bro, you just dabbed on OP epic style!

Imho, we'll see the true kino version of GoT when GRRM finishes his books and they get adapted as movies

I thought you guys mocked reddit, but you still post their content?

>>Daughter of one of the best swordsmen and honorable men in the land
My dad is an electrician. Guess that makes me one too! Cool

this started out good

newfag

People always post shit from reddit and sometimes even copy/paste comments from there to start discussion

it doesnt matter how skilled she is

She killed him without effort, that completely ruined night king as a character and the whole story actually.

I think modern writers think that ther hero Journey structure is a silly thing and dont need to care about it at all

None probably. Without him Danny wouldn't have joined the fight and Bolton's wouldn't be defeated and the undead would have probably taken over the entire world. So that's a purpose.

But why aren't we taking these red priests/priestesses words with grains of salt? "The Lord of light must have saved you for a reason" I call horse shit. Some fire demon grants cultists wishes in moments of true desperation sure that's true, but the entire religion built around it is still man made and probably made up for the same reason every other religion was made up; for money

Without him, Dany never would have brought a dragon north of the wall to give the Night King a dragon to destroy the wall and so therefore there wouldn't have been an invasion in the first place.

the people that browse reddit arent the ones mocking reddit

d&b don't even know what that is

All I know is Jaime is light bringer though.

He's gonna kill Cersei and either he'll get flaming pimp hand or his sword and brienne's will catch on fire because "ice on fire"
