Captain america really was brilliant. Sends the two most useless avengers to get the soul stone so one of them ends up dead. No one would care anyway. Tony got the biggest send off in the universe. Black widow was mourned for about 5 minutes.

hawkeye already lost his family and nat was the closest to him. look at the ques that imply they love each other in the movie like holding hands etc.
