I have no problem with Melisandre committing suicide after The Night King died; she served her purpose at that point. I have no problem with her lighting the trench, which did buy some time. I do have a problem with her lighting the Dothraki's swords, since all that did was give them an unwarranted confidence boost, which got them killed.
It seems like that, for all the good she did, she did just as many things. I also think D&D took her quote about Arya shutting blue eyes out of context entirely.
