More plot armor my lord?
First for /bestboy/ surviving outside the castle with no armour or protection
what show is this? There are no colours in GoT
4th for Cersei raping everyone
STOP THIS MADNESS IN THE NAME OF YOUR KING
We're here (for now).
I shant
The whole concept of dothraki is so useless
why are they so hyped
Even with the Arya Ahai bullshit, this episode did have some Kino moments that are worth talking about
>Every second Mel was on screen
>Flaming swords light up
>Dothraki are slaughtered and all their bladed flicker out
>Handfull of survivors bolt back
>Dead start to overwhelm the living
>Unsullied hold the line while the rest of the army retreats
>Grey Worm makes the choice to sacrifice his Unsullied comrades
>Giant versus Lyanna. Both the yeeting and the kill
>Arya in the library
>Beric's end
>Dragon dogfight
>Wights crawling over Drogon like ants
>Night King raises the dead
>Theon
>Mel's death
>"Your people can't fight"
Local rapist not to tough after getting wrecked
I fucking love this show so much... 6 years since i've seen it for the first time... started in season 3... read the books... rewatched the series around 3 times... read every theory imaginable... this is how they end it???? i'm actually heart broken guys.. I could barely sleep last night...... all I was thinking about last week was this episode and it was much worse than I could ever imagine... I can't believe this shit...
>Jorah dies because Dany is literally too retarded to tell her dragon to jump or turn and breathe fire
Based and filter all reddit namefags.
the flaming swords were cool, but a bit overdone. From the castle, it looked like their infantry was being set on fire
THE BOOOOOOAR IS PREGNANT
SUBVERT
*grabs nuts*
DEEZ
EXPECTATIONS
>final battle of humanity vs the dead
>Bran is warged into the past, being protected by Jaime and Brienne
>white walker stabs Brienne with her own sword, she lays on the ground dying
>cut to young Jaime kneeling, with Aerys Targaryean saying "In the name of the Warrior, I charge you to be brave..."
>Jaime kills the WW, and after a brief moment of grief, draws the sword from Brienne, now aflame
>cut to Aerys: "Do you swear to defend the innocent and the helpless, in the name of the Seven?"
>Jaime looks at Oathkeeper, then sees the Night King appearing
>young Jaime: "I swear it"
>Night King stares at Bran, his ultimate target
>Jaime steps in between them, chuckling to himself
>"Do you know what they call me?"
>as Azor Ahai walks toward the Night King, all that can be heard is a cacophony of voices from past seasons cursing:
>"Kingslayer.. Kingslayer! KINGSLAYER!"
Now she decides she wants the dwarf dick??
so many kino scenes...
it's funny because it's true
Were the White Walkers a mistake?
Bessies tits stream
Hot
IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ME, I WAS THE ONE SUPPOSED TO KILL THE NIGHT KING BUT THAT DAMN BOOOAAAAARRRRR
I liked this episode.
Shame 'bout my boy Theon, but otherwise I liked it.
where the fuck was Davos throughout all this, it was so dark I couldn't see him.
Lmao just turn up the brightness. Or buy a decent screen
>Every single important thing in the battle was done by a woman
What did they mean by this?
So hold up
does that mean that Dany still has a legion of unsullied and dothraki to ferry since Yara and her ironborn are still out there?
White Walkers are okay
The Night King was a mistake
Really when you introduce The Big Bad Guy like that you're basically forced into a confrontation like this. Like sure they could have handled it a lot better but ultimately a big fight against the king zombie man was never really going to be fulfilling in the way Game of Thrones is supposed to be fulfilling. The way they stopped the White Walkers should have been more interesting.
>show starts to focus on zombies
>everyone complains
>show eliminates zombies in one episode
>everyone complains
>wasting cavalry by making them charge into a large undead force consisting of giants/ice spiders/direwolves and fucknot
are the others mute?why are they not talking?
This is what my brother literally said. I said it'd be better if Jon fought him or something and he said "oh, well it's different because you think they're gonna have an epic sword fight but she just comes out of nowhere." Then he tried to make sense of this shit by saying she was leaping from the trees to avoid the giant horde of WW. We had to rewind it several times to show him that she didn't just fall out of a tree.
They mean some CIA glownigger will shoot them with a heart attack dart if they don't stay "on message"
>the white walkers would literally have won if they'd just sat at the back and waited until their army of the dead killed everyone
*kills cersei*
>show starts to focus on zombies
>everyone complains
yeah sure just make shit up
not like the show opened up with zombies or anything
chad king was so based this entire episode until he died like a wimp
i need a webm of him pulling up with his squad to kill bran
Madness!
>It was too dark
Look I enhanced my screen contrast and it's perfectly fine now, pic related
youtube.com
>those terrible cg towers
where the fuck did the budget for this show go? they clearly made ep 3 dark as fuck as long as possible to hide the terrible cgi
Thing is Arya has all those fucking assassin skills, she could have done this in a much more creative way
Knowing that they were going to ultimately treat them this way? Yes. Knowing what they did now back then, the show would've probably been a lot better if they just never introduced them or their non-threat to the world. All they ended up being was a point of tension that never went anywhere other than some minor B characters dying.
The second that I saw that D&D said they were going to be drinking a lot and staying away from the internet is the moment I lost hope for the climax of the series. So many things they could've done to create a satisfying ending to the WW storyline, but they went the lazy pandering way.
This just doesn't work with shitty web quality. Should be okay when watching a good BD encode in a dark room.
DID THEY JUST FUCKING KILL ONE OF THE DRAGONS OFFSCREEN ?
I guess having the women get raped by bones was more important than showing it
It's important to note that neither are they trained to fight in the snow, nor are their horses bred to be capable in it.
I was watching this episode in a bar, it was perfectly fine lighting autists, it didn't need pretentious cinematography
/got/
>Daenerys still have forces
what the fuck
The NK had to enter Winterfell. He was off his dragon and Jon Snow was behind him. Snow could have eventually cut through the zombies and reached him. Also, there may be some reason why he had to be the one to kill Bran at that point and not just any wight.
YAAAS QUEEN SLAY
they shot it dark on purpose, otherwise everything would look so fake, and for special effects they could just use low res animations & save on money
more money was spend on actors wages than on all the extras, the crew, and whatever else was required - combined.
Yes for real. Literally WALDER FREY was a bigger villain than the Night King
Qarth, the Greatest City that Ever Was or Will Be
paypigs who are writing reviews and shit are complaining about it, too. And not just the darkness but the general incomprehensibility of the combat scenes.
who is this guy lol link the video
Only the front line of Unsullied got sacrificed to hold the line.
Don't use cgi and use real zombies instead
Haïti can provide them
Literally what happened.
HBO obviously just gave them a significantly smaller budget for their last season since they won't be seeing a return-profit with more episodes.
HBO's funding ruined game of thrones. It should've been a full 10 episode long season with a 2 hour episode 9
What a disappointment. I don't even want to finish the show now.
Why did Mel die? Has she been alive since the last Azor Ahai?
she literally has a lot of dothraki forces and a legion of unsullied that weren't ferried because of the ironborn
Here's what should have happened when Arya killed the King: the other white walker lords should have murdered her in retaliation and then retreated
But 0 Dothraki left right?
Same
Amazing how accurate this turned out to be.
why retreat the humans are all 1 second away from dying
Lord Onions of House Nu-Males
youtu.be
>mfw Rickon and Dickon become the gay emperors of Essos
They should have also made the battle less one-sided
melisandre should have raised beric one last time as ultra undead rhllor zombie with fiery eyes and fire coming out of his wounds (like the undead dragon i guess) and then he goes out and allahu akhbars the night kings liutenants, leaving the path open for arya/the hound to double team the NK. that whole fucking sequence of beric and the hound teaming up to save arya and then barricading themselves in with mel who says the magic words to give arya confidence is just SCREAMING for a teamup moment where they each play a part. maybe jon should have been there too, protecting bran for a moment or something, since he did absolutely fuck all this episode.
>tfw this show could've been so much more if they just decided to write in more plotlines from Essos instead of just all the fags with Dany.
need to shoop out LF Sansa and Pod with the 3 NK's companions
Holy shit I remember laughing my ass off about this weeks ago about how complete absurd and asinine it would be.
And then it happened.... I'll never love another show again.
>Mels death
I liked it better when Chronicles of riddick did it like a decade ago
>We hoped to kind of avoid the expected. Jon Snow has always been the hero, the one who's been the savior, but it just didn't seem right to us, for this moment.
what did Benioff mean by this?
only little dothraki got ferried because of ironborn
she still has a horde of dothraki screamers back home
You are such a tasteless braindead pleb it is sickening
Holy shit this is sad.
I blame SJW's and the Me Too movement for this ending
too accurate
More emotionless Bran and Theon's dead face.
>didn't had any armor
>didn't had any valyrian weapon
>melly gave fire to their weapons but it's pretty useless cuz shape of their weapons
>fighting with horses in dark is pretty bad idea in general
they were just there to increase their enemies size
Have sex
>he's always been the hero
he did jack shit this episode, what kind of hero is that? he flew around then watched as everyone had to burn the stupid trenches when he had a dragon that could do it.
Contracts are 7 years, so for season 8 all of the original actors got -massive- bumps. They may be paid on a per episode basis, hence the reduction in number of episodes to help mitigate that. I don't think they shot at night to reduce the CGI budget, although it's possible. It certainly was the case with Blackwater. It's probably more like a legit creative decision that just didn't work as well as they might have planned. 90% of the battle looks like muddled garbage.
Even Bran shooting NK with hidden crossbow would have been better.
Someone do this with dying Theon, Bran (saying how beaytiful it is) and the companions.
What are all of these threads in the catalog about? What show is this?
She is an insufferable moron
so eliminating them 3 episodes before the end makes a difference? this shit dragged on too long anyway. the night king was made for a war that has no relevance to the show.
damn whos this
That was the most bored I've ever been watching this show
The only way D&D can redeem themselves at this point is to kill all of the fan favorite characters in the last episode
Would have liked if
>NK grabs Arya
>No one can kill me!
>drops dagger
>I am NO ONE.
>grabs dagger and sticks him with the pointy end.
HBO's The Sopranos
>Even SAM FUCKING TARLY did more work that Jon
>Pod, Briene, Tormund, Jaime and Gendry doing good work
what the fuck man
why didn't they just leave one dragon in the castle to burn wights from the walls/towers as the approached?
It was a plus that Sansa went back to her useless childish self for a few lines
Like a sequel? Is that A.J's daughter?
shut the fuck up
actually, i like it.
BASED
>lmao u guyz couldn't see?! XD just get better eyes!
>our guy is gone
who do we root for now?
unironically the most based character in the show and the entire episode. Him btfo'ing everybody and not caring was great. He had mutual respect for Bran and the people who tried to fight him with honour (Theon), only to get fucking abolished by D&D
FROM
>jews
>jewing
what a surprise
Faggot.
WHAT DID THOSE GODAMN SYMBOLS MEAN THAT NK KEPT LEAVING AROUND ALL OVER THE PLACE?!@?@??@?#$I$#
There was very little red/green in this episode so why would being colourblind matter
youtube.com
I just had to make this :D
all this ultra forced strong-woman bullshit is really starting to turn me gay. why do women have to ruin every fantasy setting they're involved in?
There's no way that this is how it ends in the books
I can't believe Cercei is the final boss. I couldn't even imagine a worse ending holy shit
He was turbo autistic
It was too kino to come true.
I don't want GOT but I keep hearing from normies that the night king died. Does that mean the series is finally over and we can return to baneposting?
best part of the episode
bumhole art, foreshadowing the massive turd that was coming
Euron
I would have liked her disguising herself as a corpse more.
But user, we can't do that on our tvs.
Jaime
Pod
Bronn
Davos
I would say Gendry but he's been goblin'd
>all this ultra forced strong-woman bullshit is really starting to turn me gay
I turned off all my lights and I *still* spent most of the show just trying decipher what the fuck was happening.
How would he have handled the war?
Yes you can. Go into settings
>Lord of Light kept bringing Beric back to save Arya from death
So whats the point of bringing Jon back?
>nothin personal
It meant nothing all along! Consider your expectations subverted, kid.
Rhaegar is Azor. Literally born under a red comet during the burning of Summerhall while everyone is crying. How the fuck do Jon or Arya fit the salt and smoke shit? Why are you people so retarded?
remember all this times /got/ joked about how arya would omae wa mo shindeiru the night king, and no one even replied to those posts because they were low effort low-hanging-fruit jokes? i remember.
Why was Ghost sent out to fight? What can he actually do? Does he have dragonglass dentures or something?
I'm really mad about this.
Anyone can hook me up to the dark web so I can send D&D some of that hot deadly anthrax?
what was the deal with this motherfucker's ice sword?
Reminder that Podrick saw more action than Jon. Hell, even Sam did more than Jon.
Eating and drinking and shitting and fucking
So the north and everyone else has no army now.
How can they win? It better not be "we have dragons surrender" bullshit
>thinking about all the shitty arya fanart that will be inspired by this episode
I don't think I'm ready...
well in the book Beric brough back catelyn stark as some crazy vengeful zombie so i'm 100% sure the show started going way off the rails in season 6
>Seven Hells, he's making even the women and children pay the Iron Price!
HOLD THA FUCKIN DOOOOOOOOOR
I would've forgiven everything terrible this show had done if Arya died when she teleported behind him. And then the credits rolled.
Can you imagine? Would've been hilarious.
Who cares, he's gone now....
i actually would not be surprised if someone legitimately hurt or killed dabid over this, some people really are rabid when it comes to things like this
Azor Theon
Roastie bar reactions when.
I wouldn't be suprised if DD read about the Night’s King and made him into the night king, and without the books to guide them trough it they had no idea how to resolve the story with him.
>they also joked about lf being alive
what did they mean by this?
>Jon could've spent the entire time in the crypts and had the same impact on the war
>Jon could've not been in the entire episode and had the same impact on the war
This.
All the fucking slow-mo and dramatic music.
All the minutes of literally nothing happening.
All the retarded shit.
i'm so glad goodest boy survive.
Arya doesn't. Jon was born during the war so that's smoke, the salt is from tears. Jon was also born under the bleeding star, Arthur Dayne
>you lived to see game of thrones become a zombie b-movie where the good guys team up to beat a big bad evil man
Watch it, Dany.
I hope someone will kill them they betrayed us
they are the real life boltons
Jaime and Bran.
The only people unstable enough to care that much were screaming yasss queen yasss with tears running down their faces at this scene.
>there may be some reason
And now we will never know.
>his dagger ends up being used to kill the Big Bad
was he, dare I say it, the true mastermind all along?
Overall honestly this episode was pretty great except for
>Sam running around like a retard and somehow surviving
>Lyanna Mormont
>The ending
>Your people can't fight.
>AAAAAA HELP ME JORAH
More like Dothrakucks.
WE'LL JOIN OUR HORSES
F
Heres a post I haven't seen in a long time
God they're going to be so insufferable when Azor Arya kills the Night King. What a fucking sentence to type out
>d&d did to bookfags and loyal showfags the same thing the boltons did to the starks
you're not wrong actually
When I saw the night king on his dragon at winterfell I knew it would be shit.
I thought he would fly south to kill cercei, awaken tons of zombies and do a pincer attack next episode.
I learned this lesson long ago. It was over something different but it still meant a lot to me and when they completely dropped the ball on the conclusion of their work I felt so empty. But at least you know now and won't ever get hyped for anything ever again, and if it does manage to surprise you you'll appreciate it since you would have never expected anything to ever be good again.
So we all agree his scenes were the only good part of the episode, right?
People unironically comparing this to The Lord of the Rings make me physically ill.
The action was pretty fun this episode but it didn't have anywhere near the degree of substance Helm's Deep had.
>knife was almost used to kill Bran
>killed NK instead
Pottery
I expected Nights King to kneel down to Bran when they met, would have been kino. Or have Bran fucking warg into him or something. Instead we got this piece of fucking garbage
>Has a fucking icicle as a weapon for 7 seasons
>Literally no reason he could have just had another icicle
>DUDE WHAT IF HE HAD LIKE AN ICE SWORD
seriously, compared to the gibberish that was Endgame I was okay with the episode. a lot worked well and my expectations were (realistically) low so I wasn't disappointed.
This. Him and his entourage gave me mad Thulsa Doom & co vibes. Also his cheeky fookin grin as he emerges from the flames unscathed.
This is a GoT thread m8.
did both danaerys dragons survive?
Also let's talk aboit the fact that it was LF who helped kill NK with the dagger.
He was following Melly around giving her mean looks
They killed him off in such a meaningless fucking way.
Sam being eternally lucky is fine in my book. Falstaff was lucky, hell even Javert got by on sheer good fortune and it worked. Lyanna is a taste thing I guess but I'm fine with it, I thought it was a cool send off for an ensemble dark horse and it was well acted. Ending was dumb as rocks though
you've clearly forgotten the suicide Orc with an olympic torch and the hilariously bad CGI with rohan riders randomly waving swords around.
Yeah, it's pretty much the sole scenes I can remember of the episode 20 min after.
F
he went out like a man and had a great kill count, but i wish dabid let him buy a little more time, maybe let him get up once more after getting stabbed in the gut, and try to stop the NK again, and then get put down permanently? just a thought
>instead of the Godswood, which is a tactical mess to defend, they put Bran in a tower
>NK enters through the window, attention focused on Bran
>Jaime pushes him out of the window, he falls directly onto a dragonglass spike
>"the things I do for love"
The last episode of Star Trek Discovery did the exact same thing on their finale. It was just as forced and retarded there too, actually worse.
Despite the terrible execution, Im happy we are done with the White Walker story line.
Shit was fucking dumb from the start. At least with the final 3 episodes we get some human v human battles, intrigue, and politics. Which is what the core of the show is/was.
Hopefully we get some imteresting double crosses, backstabbing, plotting and executions.
It's hard to put in to words.
I think it fell short because it was simply a black and white good vs evil.
All the mysticism and lore and magic meant nothing.
If Azor Ahai meant nothing because it was all just prophecy and it doesn't mean it will happen, I'd understand but they didn't translate that across at all.
Where was the mystery about what's hiding deep in the crypts?
We got nothing from Bran or even the Night King. Everything meant nothing
>the Valaryian Dagger from Season 1 ends up being the most important weapon of the show
>Still literally no explanation who made this dagger or where it came from
If Theon just stood aside for a few mins he might've survived...
>He didn't ironically enjoy this episode
lmaoing at you losers
He had to spare Melisandre. If he’d been dead, Davos would have killed her.
Also if he had been dead Dany might not have joined the Great War and they needed the dragons.
Littlefinger being alive would be the shows saving grace in my view. Imagine if he did win after all that
I'm never going to care about a movie/book/tv show ever again
Genuinely thought for a moment that Bran and the Night King were working together from the way they looked at each other for a split second. Bran being revealed as the bad guy and almost the mastermind of the white walkers victory would have been far more kind.
What film did D&D steal the >its a gut stab lol
? I'm sure I've seen it before
Yeah it looked like he was about to kneel.
so is Rhaegal dead?
couldn't see shit this episode
>Bran sends him off to die
>He could have just hidden behind the tree and lived
>"This battle will make the red wedding seem like a rehearsal"
more main characters died in the red wedding than they will in the entirety of this season
It was already the most important weapon and the Valyrians made it but Littlefinger sent it. This was not the issue
So glad I stopped watching this crap after they killed Stannis
I don't know if they can salvage anything in the last 3 episodes
i was really hopping he would take the wound and with his last breath he would do anything to slow down the NK. Like stabbing his knee while he was on the ground. Anything that wouldn´t make his final scene worth.
I would have much preferred if Theon (or whoever for that matter) pulled the classic move on the NK where they tank a stab to the chest and then stab the NK with dragonglass/valyrian steel while they're up close and personal before resulting in them both dying.
Arya's hand switch was kind of neat but it just felt too easy/contrived.
Him ending up on the throne after everyone has killed each other would be best end.
watch, we'll get a bran flashback where he psychically influences someone in the past to create it for whatever reason
They didn't kill off many this episode so they'll die by Cersei's hand in the last 3 episodes, right guys?
>”Tell the Targaryen whore, her eunuchs, and her horsefuckers to take their worthless arses back to Essos. I’ll take care of these wight fucking shits meself.”
Then Bobby would wait by the tree with Bran and call the Night King a pussy for not facing him in single combat like a damn man.
>”Oi, yew ‘orn-‘eaded bastid. Yew gort the bawls ta face a real man or didja nuts drop orf from the caul?”
Then Bobby would break every bone in his frail, desiccated body with his hammer, and just continue to hammer away at the reassembling pieces until he got bored and finally finished him with a dragonglass dagger Bran offered him a couple of hours earlier.
Same. The episode and the entire show would had been completely redeemed if Bran was the mastermind all along.
>Arya pulls the same stunt the Trex used at the end of Jurassic Park
>Jumping in from just outside of the frame
Only in that movie it was actually awesome.
>intrigue, and politics
Hahaha, good one.
You'll get more meaningless action and quips that's all.
>intrigue, and politics.
we won't get any of this
No
it's not clear what happened to Jon's
he's in ep4 teaser
What the fuck WASN'T their deal?
>have the best weapons, presumably sentient, able to control the dead just like the NK
>don't do anything the entire show, kill no one of note
>just stand around glaring at shit
WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE POINT OF BRAN TURNING INTO A FLOCK OF BIRDS FOR THE ENTIRE BATTLE
this show is literally nu-star wars tier now
just turn on the brightness bro
here's the best scene
*Whorthless.
The Last Jedi
no, not that. I'm thinking of a classic
>Theon's death, the only noteworthy one in the episode, was completely ruined by having the thread completely destroyed seconds later
It's like if the Red Wedding happened, then 30 seconds later and some army loyal to the North came out of nowhere and killed all the Boltons and Freys.
Night King wasn't a mistake they just can't write for shit. Some revelations with bran and the walker lore could have been done. Also it would have been extremely satisfying if he went to Kings Landing and took it over with Winterfell either winning or losing. Main characters would do a focused raid on the Red Keep with Jon and the other main characters fighting the white walkers in the throne room it would've been perfect.
>John randomly screaming at the dragon
???
AHAHAHAHAHASDSDFDFVDFgdkfjghdkfjghsaAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhdsfj
Nah he's alive, the preview for the next episode shows both of them flying around
he had just realized he was about to get cucked out of his plot arc
It's literally impossible for them to top the red wedding. Ned's death and the Red Wedding are the two most memorable parts of the shows because it felt like the main characters were fucking dying. Unless Jon, Dany, and Tyrion all die (they won't) then this is BS.
I got the exact same feeling. I was expecting some kind of mindfuck like Bran was controlling the NK or had gone back in time and told him to come to him
unfortunately arya's terminator fight and jumping in from out of frame to kill the NK is D&D's idea of clever writing so I wouldn't get your hopes up.
so did any of the many spoilers turned out to be real? did any of them mentioned arya killing NK
threat*
The ending actually wasn't bad and made a great deal of sense thematically on its own. It's just that they butchered Arya so bad with making her a woke superhero from S5 on that her killing the NK just seemed cheap as fuck.
I'm so fucking sad, men...
Not even laughing at this shit is worth it. It's not just my time I spent watching this show and reading these books. It's not just the disappointment that comes with that. But imagine being one of these people that worked on the show, that gave nearly a decade of their life that built up to THIS TRASH. Imagine being Alfie Allen, pouring your heart out into this show, into this character, only to be killed off by these fucking retard in such a dumb way.
Fuck, I am genuinely mad. So much money and talent just WASTED because of the incompetency of a few writers.
Arya sort of looks like a ham.
jon will sacrifice himself to become the new night king
How can they think anyone cares about Cersei and the clown show Euron is kek?
shut the fuck up dothraki screamer
Stannis
It would have been better if she killed him by bashing his head with the dagger's hilt. Then at least the episode would have had some character progression... I mean, learning that you don't always have to stick em with the pointy end isn't much of an arch for Arya, but its something.
There were some kino moments tbf
Theons redemption
Jaime on the battlefield turning and looking into the eye of the ice storm
The night king raising the dead around Jon
Reminder that if Jon Snow hadn't come back to life the WW would never have crossed the wall.
>Arya who was totally uninvolved with the whole shenanigans with the entire north
>Who fucked off to another realm and trained to become a 100 sneak ninja assassin
>Somehow ends up being the one who kills the big bad villain because the night king who reacted really fast by grabbing her somehow didn't just throw her right away
I will never not be mad, literally a convenient way to write off what they can't have a satisfying ending to. Everything would have been fine if Arya decided to just go to King's Landing and killed Cersei while Jon Snow handles the north.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA@AAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAUDYYFFBGUGUFIRJFBFUSKFJRIR7FYCH4T4729EIFJFBRI28FHCBFU83
Why did he arrange the bodies in spirals and circles? Why didn't dragon fire kill him?
How would that make any sense?
>Tyrion and Varys are the last ones standing, Sansa sits on the Iron Throne
>"So this is how our little game ends. Death and the pit of chaos"
>CHAOS ISN'T A PIT
>Littlefinger pulls of Sansa's face reveling his underneath. It was him all along
>CHAOS IS A LADDAAAAH
None of the ones I've seen were remotely accurate regarding this episode. HBO have done a great job muddying the waters and spreading fake leaks everywhere this season, last season the leaks were basically confirmed first episode and were completely accurate throughout the rest of the season.
BEND OVER NIGHT KING I'M ABOUT TO MAKE THE NINE
Wouldn't he have survived dragon fire to the face?
im having fun, but you can cope however you want :)
he saw 50 steps ahead
What? It sounds like a cool twist but literally what would the point be? What would his motivation be?
>be important character
>have no helmet
>slay slay slay never die
>other characters with helmets die with a slight push by the zombies
terrible episode, I do give points though to the one smart main character, called Grey Worm for actually putting his helmet on before battle
>the classic move on the NK where they tank a stab to the chest and then stab the NK with dragonglass/valyrian steel while they're up close and personal before resulting in them both dying.
Would've been even better if he tried that but his dragonglass weapon shattered on the Night King's armour.
targs aren't immune to fire, stop this meme
The problem is that there simply aren't enough colors at the ends of the digital color spectrum. The vast majority of devices are limited to 16bit color. And when the device is rounding to the nearest accurate color, it begins to run out of options near the dark and light ends. There are only so many to choose from.
The only way this would look better, is if the BD has more color information, and you have a TV capable of displaying more than 16bit.
This season is officially 5th season tier
>reacts so fast he can turn around and effortlessly pluck someone out of mid-air
>can't react fast enough to do anything about that retarded slo-mo knife trick
>Survive the fucking Zombie apocalypse
>Your bitch queen now orders you to march south to die for her quest for the Throne
>Everyone just accepts their fate
As fucking if they wouldn't just mass desert after this.
>How can they think anyone cares about Cersei and the clown show Euron is kek?
D&D always cared only about game of thrones. NK and other prophecy bullshit never really interested them.
>NK goes up to Bran
>They smile at each other
>Bran tells him he's done well
>NK bows
>Bran tells him to finish it
>NK and WWs kill majority of MCs, only Jon/Daenerys escape
It could've been a based episode bros
something older, an action movie I think. Fuck its driving me mad
All the big shows do this once they get super popular. You've already got them hooked, and they'll watch whatever at that point. So you cut the budget in half every following season and use the money to fund the next big thing. Rinse and repeat. Who gives a fuck what it looks like or if the ending is any good. Hire the cheapest writers not the most experienced ones. All that shit, it's a business after all
i was hoping he would grab the night king's ankle or something
Is it only some of them then?
He had his hand burned when he tossed Mormont's lamp to a white walker in Season 1, what made you think he's survive dragonflame
>Dany's army is weakened
Now is Stannis' time to reveal himself and claim his rightful throne.
still the riverlands, the vale, a lot of armies left who wouldn't support a random lannister whore on the throne
Why didn't the good guys and the Night King team up and beat Cershit, then they could have made the Night King the King of the Norf Norf
Hold out hope for Wheel of Time? Hopefully it sticks to the books and shows how a matriarchal society is necrotic over time. Plus harem
are they gonna do anything with him or nah
the 1080 version is better than the other one.
Dany surviving the fire in S1 is a one time thing, none of them are immune.
No way they have any significant number of troops remaining. They'll probably bring in Edmure ex machina since I think he's listed for some episode, and have a Riverlands army materialise to fight for them or some shit.
>stopped watching but still keeping tabs on exactly what happens
lol
worse. At least 5 had some interesting political maneuvering and plot-payoffs. This season is just a JJ Abrams wet-dream with zero substance. GoT has gone full-hollywood
Would probably wrestle Drogon into submission and charge the Night King with his warhammer stating he doesn't need dragonglass to beat the everliving fuck out of this cuntbag and call everyone a bunch of weak pussies
Stannis
oh you sweet summer child...
She also did it in season 7 :)
In that case they should have a better final boss. And thry should have featured the walkers less.
I didnt even mind the fact that Arya killed him it was just so stupid how easily she did it
This and the Dothraki flames slowly dwindling out and the screams turn to silence.
If must have been terrifying to see if you were a soldier there
He's a fucking white male.
jaime was knighted by dayne you pleb
>who made this dagger and where it came from
Littlefinger used it to frame Tyrion. It was made of Valyrian steel and as we all know none has been made since the doom of Valyria, it has only been reforged. I would guess it was made in Valyria. It may have been a Targ dagger originally.
>know it's gonna be shit
>continues to surprise by being even more shit
>theoryfags btfo
this show is amazing.
Where was Ghost in the trailer for the next episode? I couldn't see him.
That was awful. They have been anime as fuck for ages and yet instead of opting for an anime final battle they instead did nothing personnel kid. Incredible.
Theon was good though.
Him deciding humanity is garbage due to his own experience and what he has seen as the raven or something. Would take any reason over the lame shit we got.
This, or anything unpredictable or unexpected really. For show that became huge because of >le twists and turns, this was ridiculously safe and schematic. What are they afraid of? Can't make some radical plot decisions because it might upset the twitter whores and cucks?
would've been 200% better than what we got
after all Bran broke the wall's spell by passing it, and did so with full knowledge of what he was doing, right?
>Hold out hope for Wheel of Time?
Main showrunner is a SJW cuck, so bury your hopes
GODDAMNIT I HATE ARYA SO MUCH OF COURSE THAT FUCKING SMUG GOBLIN KILLS THE NK
>thanks for the plot armor D&D
>mfw NK only wanted to ask Bran where Craster's and Gilly's son is
>and reading these books
books will be different. the show since S4 has been based on everything up to ADWD plus a single story conference with GRRM around that time. keep your chin up bro.
I was waiting for some kind of twist in the last moments to redeem the episode but it ended the most boring and retarded way.
Theon was already redeemed.
Jaime charged a fucking dragon by himself.
The Night King did that in Hardhome and it was way better.
Stop kidding yourself. This was garbage and offered nothing.
If dragonfire doesn't kill the Night King why does Valyrian Steel?
He wanted the NK to kill all the non-whites and Dany before taking over
>Hopefully we get some imteresting double crosses, backstabbing, plotting and executions
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Depends on if Tyrion or Sansa die
So 100 000 dothrakis charged 100 000 whights, and died?
lmao SHAME
kek. but yeah at least an effort would have been cool.
Theon's plan of run up and die was ambitious to say the least.
Valyrian steel is magic, not just regular steel forged with dragonfire
>pinned to the wall for minutes
>nobody kills them
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH
Is WOT even good? I tried it and it started off in such a generic way I couldn't stand it. Seemed like fucking garbage.
He could have just bitchslapped her midair
Yea it turned into a disney superhero movie. a B tier disney superhero movie. Like Thor: The Dark World.
lol who? He's been completely forgotten even before BotB. Did he even know the undead were attacking?
Yes. Before it’s all said and done, he’ll play Salieri.
>Arya in the library
that shot was retarded, the whole scene shouldn't exist, where was she even trying to get to ffs, why cross throigh the library? oh scurrying across creaky wood is silent but blood drop is loud.. all so she could be 'saved' from her contrived capture for muh prophecy holy shit what a massive disappointment
I just think it's gay that she stabbed him with Valyrian Steel instead of Dragonglass. You know, the shit that the Children of the Forest jammed into his chest to make him?
LITTLE MAN SCREAMING
countless bodies drop to reveal the last men standing
...and they're all named characters.
Truly my favorite anime
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
How was the shot of Jaime not cool as fuck to look at?
WHO CARES
YAAAAASSSSS QUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN SLAYYYYY
SUBVERTED YOUR EXPECTATIONS
>The virgin undead Dragon
>The chad bastard
he was going for his sword and was just about to grab it, he literally could have unsheathed it and turned around and stabbed her right in the fucking stomach
Guy used that dagger to try and kill Bran, now it's used to save him.
Pottery
>i literally refuse to learn a lesson
>please jews, steal more source material that you dont have to write and then butcher it cuz u feel like writing
dragons are literally the source of magic in GOT universe tho
This was worse than Hollywood. At least they get their screenplay mostly right for their audience, this episode was an assortment of random scenes without any consequence or purpose, and not in an intended or good way. I could cut this episode down to 10 minutes without losing anything.
Theon could have survived if he didn't charge the Night King because Wolverine killed him only 20 seconds later
Based
>What would his motivation be?
The iron throne. This show is called game of thrones after all.
Winning the game is the motivation of every major character.
Instant regret
jon morphs into a gundam suit and uppercuts the dragon
I would have accepted that explanation if they hadn't killed off Petyr Baelish in the most retarded way possible. He literally saved the world by furnishing that dagger into their possession.
>the riverlands become relevant again when the plot calls for it
The only redemption is if Edmure walks in shirtless wearing sunglasses and being drunk and marches to KL alone
I wished she’d killed him in a way befitting an assassin. I wish she’d sniped his ass with a dragonglass arrow.
It was nothing better than what we already had. Jaime charging Dany was the most kino moment of his past S4. Should've died then.
>Dany surviving the fire in S1 is a one time thing
no it isn't there is multiple occasions where she is immune to heat and standing in fire multiple times as well.
every stealth video game cliche was in that scene
Has this episode proven beyond a doubt that we are in fact living in a society?
Remember when Beric told Jon to kill the Night King and Jon replied that it isn't as simple as that?
WHO THE FUCK CARES AM I RIGHT GIRL POWERR YAAAAAAAAAAS QUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN SLAYYY
WOMEN >>>>> EVERYTHING ELSE > MEN
ALL MEN MUST DIE BUT NOT WOMEN
YAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
>6’ vs. 5’11”
Information?
Yeah the show fucked it up.
guys how do I explain to my normie friends arya is the worst character in the show? every time I bring up she's a flawless mary sue they say she can't be because she's a bloodthirsty assasin. also they don't know what anime is
plus they're in the centre of the field and enemies just seem to make way for them
>there are more arya fucking scenes in the episode preview
what did dabid mean by this??
So Mellisandres entire story was to give Arya a pep talk? That was good enough for her to die?
SSSSSSSSLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
It's what I was thinking.
The show grew too big to not be a clichee and a fanbois pleaser.
There is no escape. After seeing it in Dr. Who, GoT, Star Trek/Wars and capeshit all in the same year i think I'm done with anything for a long time. Wait for this trend to die out and if it doesn't, then I'll still feel much better not watching all that shit anymore. We'll always have the old shit
She really needs to get pregnant for the King who was promised
>NK approaches Bran
>Arya appears and had her dagger on NK's throat
>Bran says gleefully 'Good, Arya good. Kill him'
>NK looked at Bran and at Arya with pleading eyes.
>Bran says 'Kill him now.'
>Arya says 'I shouldn't..'
>Bran says 'Do it.'.
>Arya cuts his throat.
Beric was rezzed to get her there
Melly lived to inspire her to action
Bet you money the final scene of the show zooms under a glacier and reveals the Night King reforming on an icy throne. They already established that somebody turned back the Long Night by destroying the Night King and the fucker came back all the same. He didn't just go home.
Why does Dany look so smug in the preview? Surely the characters would be shaken to the core from what they've seen
Surely subverted your expectations huh? ;)
QUEEN SLAY
YAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSS
The music in the background reminded me of that scene where cersei blows up the giant sept in Kings Landing. I constantly expected someone major to die and then nothing happened...
>Prince who was promised
>Prince has no gender so it could also mean princess
>Arya is in fact the prince/princess who was promised
>but Arya is not a princess because Jon is her cousin not her Brother, and cousins of Kings are not princesses
>The only way for Arya to be a princess is to be the daughter or sister of a ruling monarch
Sansa of house Stark, first of her name, Queen of the Andals and the first men, lady of the seven kingdoms and protector of the realm confirmed.
why do you want to change their opinion? just watch the show and shut up
What happened to Neil Gaiman? I guess Terry Pratchett's death got to him?
Witcher was the only alternative and was doomed from the beginning. Hell, even God himself was so against a redhead being recasted as black that the actress died from a damn blood clot.
Yes, it does wane around book 9, but you can literally wiki it and proceed to Sanderson's closure. Which is inferior but still okay.
Honestly just read Dune, which inspired GRRM, Jordan, and Sanderson. And even George Lucas...
Based Villeneuve is filming the adaptation so read the books to prepare and compare. And watch the Lynch abomination.
Oh well. I'll just watch actual kino adaptations of an awesome series every Sunday from here on out. Pic related.
SHORT HEIGHT=SHORT TEMPER
Only the dead once again know peace from this suffering
the magnitude of this fuck-up is incredible, they've literally invalidated all the prior seasons, holy fuck
Her contract expires at Episode 3
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA PPFFT HAHAHAHHAHA HOLY SHIT
no seriously youre trolling right?
please tell me youre not actually that buttfucking retarded
>retards who think the azor ahai prophecy purely means the character has to be a prince or princess
fuck off retard
thought it would of been arya firing an arrow at the night king.
That scene wont be animated until at least 2022
He was sent out on the beginning because Direwolves weren't in the budget for this episode.
>Bear bitch dying isn't great
End your existence
>and cousins of Kings are not princesses
Not true
Endgame was much worse than this
seeing the divide on reddit is pretty interesting desu
r/asoif
>this was trash, it didn't make any sense. visually appealing, lacking in substance
r/gameofthrones
>this is the greatest piece of film ever produced. DAE better than helm's deep?
BRAVO DABID
>he doesn't know
Jon has never been smart
It doesn't have to really make sense just make more sense than what we got.
People are currently in the bargaining stage of grief.
>string of capital letters
>implications regarding someone else's mental acuity
So do you have a point or are you just a faggot?
people who care about the series and content
vs.
people who use it as an excuse to socialize and "freak out" over the "twists" with eachother
i went out for a beer with a friend i used to know in elementary school and we joked about how arya will teleport behind the NK and behead him while smirking, we didn't even laugh at that joke because it was really too unbelievably bad to be true
but here we are
>visually appealing
Tbh most of them have been laying into how fucking dark it was and saying the Helm's Deep comparisons are undeserved
Makes me moist thinking about it animated. Unlike GOT, AOT is aging like a fine wine.
One question for you:
Is Eren the father?
>DAE better than helm's deep
Not even close
youre a buttfucking retard
lmao
>he doesnt know who built the wall to begin with
HAHAHHAHA it was the Night King you dumb cocksucker, just wait for the prequel show where its explained for literal retards like you
meanwhile go complain some more about muh feminism in a show about female empowerment
hahahahaha
>NK COMING BACK
lmfao denial of reality like that is why you're a virgin LOSER
there are plenty of people in r/gameofthrone and r/freefolk who hated it. the freefolk discord is absolutely seething and shitting on the ep more than we are
You're not even replying to the same person right now you fucktard.
helms deep is overrated desu senpai
START A NEW THREAD BEFORE I PISS MYSELF
D&D needed kickass camera angle of Kang flying his dragon
Of course
sam was a piece of shit coward this episode
he shouldn't have lived, he got edd killed
What is even the point of Jon? They legit could have just not had him come back from the dead honestly.
hey look you brainlet nigger easy fix
no that happens in the books as well. I think what the fat man means is that it isn't reliable to happen 100% of the time.
new thread
>can't keep multiple posts in order
>assumes anyone who replies to him is the same person
>calls other people brainlets on top of this
I pity your children, if you ever have any.
This desu, it was him who last episode was saying "i'm tough!! i killed a white walker! everyone seems to forget that!" and then this episode he's crying and falling over without trying to get up after, and other people pick up the slack for him, like Edd, who ends up dying for it.
Didn't she give the dagger to Sansa on the walls?
the resistance is in the books but she is only able to survive in the fire once.
>bran wargs into undead dragon
>uses dragon to wreak havoc on wights in courtyard
>wights in courtyard distracted by dragon
>gives jon time to enter the courtyard
>arya and the hound face off against wight leitenants
>arya closes many blue eyed wight leitenants forever
>brans dragon and dany's dragon take out scrub wights
>jon and night king have epic final battle
>close battle but jon bests the night king with his superior swordsmanship and his valarian sword
Bran's useful
Dany's useful
Arya fulfills her prophecy and still manages exceptional feats as a magic ninja assassin by taking on multiple wight leitenants at once
Night King vs. Jon rivalry satisfied
Sam deserved to live because unlike Edd he wasn't a member of a toxic male exclusive club. He's a very emotional, caring man who rather uses his mind than brawn. Sam is what every man should strive to be. He's gonna have a happy life with his wife and his wife's son.
Next episode is filler, just the North moving south and people bickering. Episode after that is probably another big battle with whatever is left, maybe the conclusion as well. Final episode is just v the ending and wrapping everything up and the survivors getting back on with their lives. If the big conflict doesn't happen in the previous episode it happens in the first half and the conclusion is the second half of the last episode. Either way don't expect anything good or important to happen next episode.
I would've taken a Soprano's ending over this, wtf HBO? Why do they keep making the worst endings for their best shows?
short
nah, we will get a flashback to a valyrian girl wanting to become a smith but the patriarchy wont let her so she makes the dagger in secret and says ONE DAY THIS WEAPON WILL BE WIELDED BY A STRONG WARRIOR PRINCESS AND SAVE THE WORLD
t. Three eyed raven
Stannis
>dragons glass doesn't kill the Night King but injures him.
>a stab to the leg
>stalls the NK
>allows time for other heroes to arrive on the scene
I see Waif and Arya there too.
