the others are described as other worldly and strangely beautiful, with magical armor and long white hair in the books, also ther is no night king for the kill boos, the rest fall, it's implied they are a race of their own, even having animals of their own like giant ice spiders

Also GRRM hasn't said they don't have a leader like the Night King, just that in the books the Night King "existed in legend if at all". They could just as easily have a leader who is someone else
