What makes Strange a good character are the same things that make Tony a good character. Strange may not be as snarky and witty as RDJ's depiction, but just like Tony, he has his flaws, and he's also a bit of a glass cannon - simultaneously enormously powerful and very, very mortal at the same time. You can perceive scenarios where Strange could get blindsided by a mook with a gun.
