Just watched the original king of monsters (aka the first ghidora movie) holy shit that movie is fun, very fucking dumb but really fun. Im very excited for KotM, the only movie i will watch it on the big screen this year.
This scene made me laugh, fucking rock volley while baby Mothra watches, and goddamn Mothra did the biggest work out of all of the three.

It’s almost guaranteed we’re getting another King Kong movie after Godzilla vs King Kong, my theory is that Godzilla loses to Kong, note that Kong’s movie did not have King in the title. I think that since they’re pushing so hard in trailers that Godzilla is the “one king to rule them all”, that Kong comes to usurp the throne, beating Godzilla, and getting his own movie, for Godzilla to return in a style similar to 1956(?)’s Godzilla 2.

While that is a good plan i would rather have Godzilla win in this one, i've only watched the original one (dont know if they ever confronted again) but it would be the more "proper" thing to do after Kong, the American kaijuu, won in a japanese movie against their nippon monster. Having Kong again would be demeaning to the big G. Though i wouldnt mind if it was a reverse of the 62 movie with Kong beating Godzilla for most of the movie with primate tactics and improvised tools like spears or rocks or traps.

I just don’t see Kong losing in the first place honestly. They’ll be very relative in height since Kong was still a teenager or whatever. Kong is smarter, more mobile, and quicker. If you've watched the original movie Kong only wins because of his electricity power up (which i hope they make a reference in the new movie). Godzilla has the plasma breath which on very flammable fur is a big problem for Kong to actually get in, and when he does he usually got his ass overpowered by the big G. He will have to rely on hit and run tactics or ranged combat himself (like i mentioned, tree made into spears or bats, maybe a big rock, etc...) if he doesnt want to get beat up, Kong will grow up but i doubt he will be bigger, and despite what vidya tells you STR is more important than DEX.

Plus, Rodan is the wildcard among the monsters in the movie. We know Mothra's going to sacrifice herself to save some humans, because that's what Mothra does in EVERY Godzilla movie. We know King Ghidora's going to beat Godzilla in the first fight, and then Godzilla's going to recover and kick his ass in the second fight. But Rodan's the outlier. We don't know what happens to Rodan. He could help or hurt anyone in the film, and that's cool.
