It was a combo of Merry and her so it wasn't technically a man but 2 non-men. In fact she would have died without Merry. She just made sure to get the last word in like a typical woman.

Pretty sure they did mention that prophecy in the movie.

This is a reference to a prophecy made during the second age by Glorfindel when the witch king is in Angmar. I’ll grant you Glorfindel isn’t a character in the movies so this line has no context but in the books it’s a riddle rather than women empowerment
