Why didn't they actually declare war on the USSR for invading Poland like they are supposed to as per Britain's guarantee of Poland?
American education
Because all the Brits wanted was to gang up on Germany
Why are they fighting the good guys?
Same reason the West condemns and bombs the Islamic State, but ignores the equally bad Saudi Arabia for nearly a century.
Why didn't they just use planes to bomb the bunkers?
The English are the slimest fucks around. The separation of Cypriot? That was all them.
Why did the Nazis try to exterminate the Jews in the middle of an all out war? Those people are great money makers and arms dealers. Pretty self defeating in hindsight.
>like they are supposed
IIRC Repubs voted no on joining the league of nations, which made US not join the organization. So they had no obligation to intervene.
It would have been easier to just drop poison gas on those Czech conscripts.
>Why did the Nazis try to exterminate the Jews in the middle of an all out war? Those people are great money makers and arms dealers. Pretty self defeating in hindsight.
All Hitler really needed to do was establish a Nazi bank and provide much cheaper loan rates than the Jewish banks.
Why didn't they just use V2 rockets like the Germans did?
Why didn't they just travel in the future and win the war by simply winning the war in the future?
The Soviets were more evil than the Nazis.
That's stupid. You can't change the future. It's a rule of time travel.
That would actually be a cool time travel movie - someone goes forward in time, changes events and comes beck to the past and watches as the past and current changes to make the future eventuate.
>The Soviets were more evil than the Nazis.
The Russian people could have been our allies. The soviet leadership on the other hand...
This is why.
The German coastal defense suffered the largest bombardment in the history of war before the landings.
Unfortunately the weather was bad and 1940's targeting technology was shit so must of it missed
You realise that they would have had to fight their way through Nazi Germany to even get to the USSR anyway, right?
Declaring war on the USSR in 1939 made no sense. Britain was already facing an invasion. They couldn't realistically do anything whatsoever about the USSR. Declaring war would only have made things unnecessarily complicated with regards to supplies and diplomacy.
Even if they had wanted to declare war on the USSR, the smart thing to do would have been to wait until 1945.
However, in 1945 there was zero appetite for another war, and the Soviet army looked unbeatable. Why would they declare war then?
>You realise that they would have had to fight their way through Nazi Germany to even get to the USSR anyway, right?
and yet the allies had no problems supporting the russian war effort through the sea route. shut up
Delivering supplies to an ally and invading a country are logistically not even similar.
In fact it would be easier to invade russia while they were occupied with germany
>and the Soviet army looked unbeatable
That doesn't answer why they didn't use V2 rockets like the Germans did.
why didn't they just ask the germans to stop
You should go to /k/ and say this so they can laugh at you.
this is my favorite Yea Forums meme.
also why didn't Hitler snap his fingers and build level 10 forts and let the Russians kill themselves on them?
why didn't they just join the correct side of the conflict
>Why are they fighting the good guys?
Those aren't Germans though
We don't want him.
t. /k/
why didn't they just land at another beach
Because of Fortress Buster trait.
I don't blame you, it's like someone who's never seen a movie telling Yea Forums what's good or not.
Because of the invention of the airplane.
See bombed French fortresses during WW2.
The agreement specified defense against German aggression, not Soviet aggression. There were also other considerations, Poland was already basically fucked by the time the Soviets jumped in, the Allies knew very well they could barely beat Germany let alone the Soviets, The Soviet-Polish war led to the borders being regarded as more fluid compared to the German-Polish borders, and as pointed out, they would've hat to go through Germany to get there.
Dude, like, why didn't someone just snipe Hitler lmfao *rips bong*
Does make any sense either. It's obvious the Germans would readjust but at least the Americans wouldn't be going headfirst into heavy fortifications. I know the beach was bombed but apparently it did nothing.
why didn't they form military squares.
Is this Total War?
because the Soviets were building 40w meds and the raj had moved all their divisions to the eastern front
>and the Soviet army looked unbeatable
We don’t actually condemn them though since we arm, fund, and train them.
>the Soviet army looked unbeatable
>the soviet army took years to fight a depleted starving German army back from Russian border to berlin in spite of having a huge manpower and material advantage with superior weaponry
>it took the allies ten months to get from the beaches to berlin
All the USA had to do was pull the plug on the lendlease and keep marching forward. The USSR was completely out of manpower, there was no way they could replace even a 100,000 more casualties, and as soon as the allies announced they were going to free Eastern europe from ALL tyranny, the hundreds of thousands of polish and Ukrainian troops would've deserted and caused the red army to implode. Problem was all the Jews back then were pro communist so of course that was never going to happen.
Patton was assassinated, 100%. If he had lived the war would've continued.
>>it took the allies ten months to get from the beaches to berlin
This is also considering they took the hardest and longest route to Berlin by landing on the beaches and not attacking from the soft underbelly of the south
There was a long fence
Also by September of 44, they were poised at the Siegfried line and ready to enter Germany but had overreached their supplies.
But they didn’t really overreach their supplies, they just had to pause to free up resources for General Autist Montgomery’s plan to invade Holland
